The staff was warm, helpful and friendly and made my father and me incredibly welcomed and comfortable. The two rooms we rented were gorgeous and the pool was clean and felt private. Couldn’t imagine a more pleasant time in Merida.

Liked the staff and the breakfast options that were available. The hotel only had 3 floors but the steps were a little challenging due to curvature and incline of steps. There were also a number of mosquitoes in the room.

We stayed at the Hotel Hacienda and the Hotel Hacienda VIP, which are next door to each other - and both are amazing. Beautiful rooms, private balconies and pools, and wonderful and kind staff. Really wonderful hotel that I highly recommend.

The room was in poor condition,
no amenities at all. Not even the basic.

Beautiful place with lots of character! Super charming

The hotel was beautiful and the service was good. However, there were a lot of mosquitoes inside of one the rooms and there was an ongoing construction in the adjacent building starting in the morning even during the weekend. The hotel has potential but not the best experience this time.

I don’t know who made the mistake Expedia or the hotel. The hotel room where oversold. Therefore I cannot give any feedback about the hotel. Since they sent me to another hotel around the corner. I feel I overpaid for the Hotel they put me in. In the bright side, I had to say that it was nice and give me a glass of wine when I arrive to the Hotel Avenida VIP. I guess with a glass of wine I was nervous and happy at the moment. Please do not over sell the rooms. Also, for people who want to stay at the hotel, please call ahead and make sure they have your room available.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Room was clean and spacious. We stayed in room one, it is right off reception so If you are a light sleeper I wouldn’t recommend this room as it can be quite noisy.

Overall I liked the place and the location because we were looking for a rustic place to stay. As a whole the staff was very friendly. Unfortunately the room we booked had a shower drain that constantly backed up and a leaky skylight in the closet. I reported the incident on the first day to the day manager and she sent someone up to unclog the drain but it only lasted for a day.
Because there were heavy rains during the first few days our stay the leak in the skylight wasn't too bad initially. We were able to use some towels from the room to soak up the water because the manager said she would have it cleaned after the rain stopped. The next leaking roof incident and drain issue was reported to the night manager. He literally wanted to give me a plunger to unclog the drain, and when I explained to him that the water leaking from the room was now pouring through in several places and could I get some towels to soak up the water until it could be cleaned up he said he only had clean towels and could not let me use them.
While the matter was eventually resolved I found his demeanor and attitude less than appropriate. I should not need to tell the manager that I'm not an employee and he needs to send someone to take care of the problem. The room was expensive and to expect a guest to do the work was totally unacceptable at any price point. My girlfriend and I now affectionately refer to the Hotel as Hotel Hacienda DYI :-).

It is a beautiful restored colonial style building with many gorgeous touches. The room was spacious with a comfy bed. A lovely garden & a pool where delicious breakfast are served. Drinks are served at the bar of the adjacent Hacienda Hotel.
The staff are welcoming, friendly & super helpful. The location of this hotel is great…walking distance to many historic buildings, squares, restaurants, cafes & shops.
Highly recommend staying at this lovely oasis!

This is a beautiful hotel in a good location. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Pool is wonderful. Our room was very nice and large with a good view. My biggest complaint is that room #6 did not have internet access. I ended up using all of my cell phone data because of this and had to buy more. Also the remote control would not operate the TV, only the satellite box. I asked for it to be foxed, but it wasn’t.

Excellent is all aspects. Could include little fridge in rooms, add room service food variety and fans in the outside eating area.

Beautiful property, excellent location closed to many restaurants. Excellent staff, private parking (this is so important because is difficult to find an hotel with parking in Merida Center). We were received for a nice staff and they gave us an upgrade. The only area to improve is the pool, there is a lot of leaves on the pool.

Me and my wife were traveling for the Firts time to Merida and, we want to have a good experience with the new place, looking for the perfect boutique hotel, I run into the Hacienda VIP and we really enjoyed the personalized service and the great people. It was great 5 starts to Alberto the manager of the hotel.

We loved everything about Hotel Hacienda VIP. The staff was welcoming, helpful and friendly. The leisurely breakfasts by the pool were lovely and appetizing. The room was very clean and comfortable. The Centro location was close to parks and restaurants and shopping, and yet the hotel was like a little sanctuary. We would love to go back and stay here again.

We stayed at Hotel Hacienda VIP for 6 nights, made as two bookings because of a change of plans. The very helpful staff were able to rearrange the rooms so we could be in the same room for the entire stay.
The hotel itself has a beautiful arched foyer and pool area, where you can have breakfast. The rooms were simple, with polished concrete floors, but were lucky enough we had our own balcony on which we could have breakfast. A bar fridge would have been appreciated in the Mexican heat, but staff were happy to put our food in the hotel's refrigerator. The position was good, being walking distance to museums, restaurants and the historic center.. We ate at Mercado 60 (fun place with food from several different restaurants}, Oliva's Kitchen (great pasta and desserts) and Chaya Maya (watch ladies make tortillas in the restaurant). The hotel arranged a tour to Celestun to see the flamingos and we caught the local buses to Chitzen Itza (impressive) and Uxmal (amazing). We also Ubered to the Mayan museum, which is well worth a visit.

My wife and I recently spent 8 nights here in December. Absolutely beautiful hotel with friendly, attentive staff who make your stay an outstanding experience. We will be back in Merida in February as we are working with a real estate agent to purchase a house in Merida. I will be staying in this hotel again. It's a quiet, tranquil place to be amid all the noise and hustle and bustle of Merida. After two nights in the hotel we were upgraded to the suite at no extra charge. Apparently, it was not booked for the period we were there. The suite is literally the size of an apartment in the States. It has a lovely balcony overlooking the court hard.

Behind a simple set of wooden doors you walk into a scene from Arabian Nights. Lush gardens frame a sparkling pool, no noise intrudes, and you feel you are in your own small slice of paradise. The rooms are very clean and spacious, and the staff is superb and accommodating. A++

Lovely quiet hotel close to the centre of the old city. Our room was cool, simple, tastefully decorated. The pool in the courtyard is small, but clean and big enough for a refreshing dip after hot days in Merida. Good breakfast in the courtyard.
The staff were wonderful - they really could not have been nicer.

Beautiful hacienda, very clean, only a few ants, but I was on the ground floor, newly arrived I was concerned, the hacienda is located in the center and in the middle of traffic, but no noises inside, the rooms and bathrooms are huge, the pool clean and the breakfast very good for only 7 / $ 10 per person, the staff was very kind and attentive to my needs, I spent a wonderful holiday in Merida and un Hacienda Vip!

Ths stay at this hotel could not have been better. The staff was attentive to our every need and arranged any transportation or tours that we wanted. On the nights that we did not want to go out, the very reasonable meals prepared in the hotel were available to eat in our room or around the pool
