Lovely staff who let us check out late which was so helpful as we had a late flight and lots of luggage. Big apartment on the ground floor and well worth the extra money especially if you have children. Some shops and restaurants are walkable. Lovely large pools

Decided on a short winter break with our 2 young boys. Pool was heated and it also had a large spa. Apartment was a good size for the 4 of us and had a decent sized kitchen with washer and dryer. Enjoyable stay.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Sand Dunes Resort. The pool and view from the balcony were both fantastic and staff were friendly. The apartment was spacious and in fair condition but looked a bit unloved in some places with scuff marks and dents on the walls, nicks out of the bath tub and sinks not scrubbed throughly etc. Curiously neither of our bathrooms had a fan which meant the entire room got very misty. But otherwise a great place to stay and especially good for families with kids.

The setting was perfect for a fan of 3 who loves their big space. Note the mw oven is not working but this didn't have any impact on our stay Great heated pool and spa and we were lucky to have picky very few other people around

Sand Dunes Resort is located in fairly quiet part of Sunshine Coast away from the hustle and bustle. Great if you love planes as it so close to the airport. The pool is fabulous and close to the beach. We were disrupted by the painting of the property which was very obtrusive however once we complained we were compensated. I was also disappointed by cleaning - the upper floor wasn’t vacuumed and walls and doors need a good clean. Despite the negatives I would return.

We stayed for 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment with pool views. The apartment was spacious and generally well-equipped (although it could do with some extra cutlery). The huge lagoon-style pool (unheated) and heated pool were a big highlight of our stay. There were plenty of shallow areas and ledges for our young kids to play on. Some of the ground floor rooms even opened directly onto the pool area. Being pool-facing, and especially being near the spa, we did have moderate pool noise throughout the day, but resort staff seemed good at enforcing the 9pm closure. Beach access was very convenient, and along paved pathways all the way from the resort to the beach track. The red & yellow flags were perhaps a 5 minute walk along the beach in either direction (Mudjimba to the south and Marcoola to the north). It was perhaps a 5-10min walk to nearby shops, with cafes, bakery, etc, as well as a small playground, but this was an enjoyable walk along a nicely shaded flat pathway behind the sand dunes. We weren't overly bothered by flight noise from the nearby airport, and the kids even enjoyed seeing the planes taking off and landing. Overall, we had a very enjoyable stay.

Fabulous location by the beach Good to have a 3 bedroom house with private rooftop spa House 6 was clean as far as daily cleaning goes but needed a spring clean Our guest couldn’t sleep one night as there was a rooftop party opposite well into the morning. House had everything we needed for a long weekend. Good to have the double garage for unloading.

We loved the heated pool and spa as we visited in winter. The kids could still swim and enjoy pool. I loved being so close to the pool, we could literally step off of our porch into the water. The rooms were nice and the beds comfortable. Everything we needed was provided in the kitchen. The clothes washer and dryer was handy to have as well. The reception was especially friendly. I would definitely return.

Great hotel, with spacious rooms,uncover patio area walking out onto the pool area, and minutes to the beach . Air conditioning was a blessing for the time spent here. Foxtel with all stations was a definite bonus. Good free Wi-fi. A walk to the cafes, so you do near a car staying here, but a few local restaurants do delivery.
