Excellent stay, slept well, good breakfast
4.0
The hotel is well located in the centre of Glengarriff, with ample parking at the rear. Good access to the walk to the water’s edge. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a simple Continental buffet, with good coffee. The hotel had apparently been non-operational for a while and they are still gearing up. The restaurant was not functions apart from breakfast. We suggested that additional lighting is needed in the room. The hotel is spotlessly clean. Next time that decorating is done, it might be a good idea to lighten the colour schemes, which are rather dark. A useful stopping off point.

We had booked a double bed room. Initially I saw she had a certain room number written down but after feeling a bit judged for my husband's tattoos, our room was changed. It has two twin beds pushed together and two more separate twin beds in the room. The bath stopper didn't fit. The shampoo and body wash were reusable and one had a long piece of hair on it. The bathroom had rust and mold on places. The bed was so hard I couldn't sleep. It was like right on a box spring. You had to put a room key card in a slot in the room to get electricity for the room. Just not a good experience.

Chris, below is the review I
I stayed in Glengarriff Park Hotel in June 2022 with a friend, Chris. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful and efficient. The hotel is a lovely building, but it's the staff who are the star of the show. Thanks again everyone.
The hotel is a wonderful base from which to see the whole West Cork and South Kerry area. We went as far afield as Derrynane, Mizen Head Lighthouse, Kenmare, Bantry, Schull, Castletownbere etc. And we also visited the enchanting Garinish Island right on the hotel's doorstep.

Room was perfect I wud have no complaints about this hotel very clean and staff very polite and helpful.

Everything looks brand new and clean. The service is very friendly and the ladies that work there all wanted to know how our trip was going, where we were from, what we planned to do.

Couldn’t find our reservation even though fully paid

Very comfortable hotel. I was there in December and obviously it was very quiet but I would definitely go again. Very good value for money, very comfortable and good location.
2.5
Great wee hotel, very friendly staff and really comfy bed. Free parking was ideal too.
2.5
Lovely big room and large bathroom, beautiful modern condition. The on-site restaurant was the best dining option in town too. A busy weekend, but staff were still present and attentive. Lovely location so you can park the car and walk everywhere.
5.0
Very pleasant hotel located in a beating part of Ireland. The hotel was clean and tidy and the room was spacious and comfortable.
The staff were attendant helpful - although they did seem a little understaffed at times.
The food was excellent.
Overall a very enjoyable stay.

The staff were great. The food was "ok", nothing special or outstanding. The room was bright, a bit neglected by housekeeping and it would be nice to know that, at the very least, your bed was being made, i mean really made, not just the covers pulled up and tucked in. The problem with not changing sheets daily, who wants to smooth out some strangers slept in bed.

It had a nice restaurant, McCarthy’s, where we had a very nice dinner.

We loved this hotel! Clean, nice bar/dining area next door as well as others within a short walk. Near the Blue Pool which is a beautiful place to walk. Near a lot of good stores for Irish merchandise. VERY comfortable room!! Nice staff who go out of their way. Kudos to Anne Marie.

Very spacious room. We had a queen and single bed, still lots of room to move around, plus plenty of storage, and a table with two chairs. The hotel is beautifully appointed and has a welcoming feeling the moment you enter. And the location was great. Loved it!

Quiet and comfortable hotel in the middle of town.

Large room, comfortable beds, great location, great bar and restaurant.

From the moment we arrived the service was exceptional.
The building and rooms were beautiful, the staff polite and welcoming.
A great experience for my mother who has traveled from South Africa to see Ireland.

Glengarriff Park Hotel was more than I was expecting! I booked a family room not realizing it was two separate rooms which was perfect. The bed was the most comfortable I had slept on thus far in our trip. The town was lovely and quiet as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Only caveat is that each room lacked in bedside plugs. But plugs were across the room.

Nicely acquainted. Could hear baby crying. Bef mattress uncomfortable, room 113. Would not stay there again. Breakfasr 12 euros, robbery.

Fair price and hotel was clean. Slow season and it was hard to find someone to check us in. Hair dryer was bolted to the drawer making it inefficient to use. Otherwise, it was in a good location and the staff we found were friendly and accommodating.

Checked into a room that had no power. It took over two hours to get the problem fixed.

only downside to a overall great hotel was the heating was on low and despite
my putting up thermostat to max, room remainder cool all night

Shower appeared to have some mold. Otherwise room was fine for the price.

On our trip round West Cork, this is the best hotel so far, and by no means the most expensive.

Parking is at the rear and access to reception is either long walk around the front with cases, past the toilets or in through dining room. On arrival we stood waiting for the receptionist to look up to see us looming over her for what seemed to take more than a cursory few seconds. Particularly laughable given the confined space! We were given keys to our rooms. Ours was not as booked but acceptable. The hotel is tired, has an elderly care home feel but does seem to be clean. I personally wouldn’t eat there and we declined breakfast consideration.
We wouldn’t rush back and my advice to other travelers is this is not a good spot for accommodation or food. Keep driving!

Easy to find, nice small town and interesting shops, restaurants.

We enjoyed a delightful evening in Glengarriff. Room was quiet, comfortable and clean. Restaurant service and food was outstanding - the mussels are a MUST HAVE!!! We would definitely return

Room to small for 3, window over a roof, couldn't leave it open in case kids would climb out..room very hot. Breakfast very expensive went elsewhere
2.0
The room was clean but a bit on the small side, close to the road so there was a bit of road noise but not too badly.
