Great location next to a gondola up the mountain. Service was splendid.

Pros: very nice property with great views of the mountains, fresh mountain water fountain flowing at the front of the hotel - we had great sunset times on the patio. Staff very nice and gave us a room upgrade for free. Breakfast very good with lots of choices. The nightly dinner was good, authentic regional food (5 courses for 35 euros). Spa was impressive with lots of options for sauna, hydrotherapy, etc. On-site parking free.
Cons: walking from the town back to the hotel is all uphill so not everyone will be able to do this easily. Room had a skylight which made it very bright after sunrise and hard to sleep in.

First I must say that the breakfast at the Continental is second to none. They have a great selection of bread, pastries, and jams, meats and cheeses, different coffee and tea drinks, and fruit juices. They even have a juicer that allows you to make fresh juice. The fruit and yogurt section also included a great selection of nuts and grains to mix in. This was all very welcome to provide a good start for a day of hiking in the mountains. To this point the reception staff was very knowledgeable and helpful in suggesting the best hikes in the area. The room was very nice as well; spacious and well appointed. The only issue I had was that the pillows were a bit firmer than I would like, but that is a matter of taste.

Steps from the best lift this friendly hotel makes a great experience. It’s a 10 minute walk to the village and there is a big hill coming back to hotel but it’s the best location for skiing. I loved the hotel and the town of Selva.

Large, modern rooms. Excellent breakfasts. Friendly and helpful staff. Had free electric bikes to use which were incredible. Only downside is 10-15 walk downhill into town. Might be a problem for someone who is not fit (coming back up the hill). Would definitely stay there again.

Visited Selva Gardena in summer. Great location, ample rooms, wonderful breakfast. Christian and his brother (sons of the founder) were super friendly and helpful. Great spa, bicycles (also e-bikes). Loved it. Selva Gardena is closest location to Sella Pass and Gardena Pass, whicha makes it a good place to stay. Highly recommended.

Hotel Continental is a classy family-run hotel. The Linder family, Josefina, Christian and Stefan, made us feel welcome in this breathtaking piece of alpine paradise. The service was impeccable and impressive. We were met with a warm reception by Stefan when we first arrived. Later on, we would meet Christian and Josefina, and all were always at hand, every day, making sure their guests are looked after. Our room was well-appointed, spacious, clean, comfortable, and overlooked the town of Selva di Val Gardena and the mountains beyond. The breakfasts and dinners were appetizing and offered variety, serving traditional Tyrolean dishes and Italian-influenced specialties. The Linder family and the rest of the hotel staff work hard to make every guests stay memorable. Hotel Continental comes highly recommended in my book!
