Beautiful heritage hotel with stunning interior and great ambience located on beautiful grounds with forests, animals and gardens. Perfect for nice quiet getaways

Rooms clean. Food was great at night and breakfast would have been fantastic if there had been a plate warmer. Food was stone cold by the time we got to our table but the food itself was great 👍

Fantastic and well run Xmas in July event, including a bagpiper and Santa, the friendliest of staff. Rooms are a little tired but very clean with comfortable beds. Would highly recommend.

The old world charm and comfort of rooms and the cozy fireplaces and nooks to drink and chat and dine.

Our initial room had no toilet or bathroom then the second room was tiny had no storage whatsoever, not a single drawer or cupboard! Nowhere to put toiletries in the bathroom and the cold water supply so impossible to have a shower. Also no lift so moving luggage up 3 floors was very hard.

Everything is unique about this property, truly like stepping back in time. Best spot is sitting in front of the fire & the staff are exceptional especially front desk

We had a nice stay, fun venue and room was very nice. Only thing we would improve would be the shared bathrooms. The ladies bathroom had three toilets with two of them out of order and the third not flushing properly. This was on the weekend of 8-10th of June 24.

Loved the historical hotel, with the fireplaces and decorative touches. Spacious room just a shame no where to store clothes.

The property is old. The common areas have been updated and are lovely, but the bedroom and bathrooms need some TLC. The beds are not great at all, saggging badly. And wooden bed head not secured to the bed so bang against the wall at the slightest movement.

The historical charm and beauty is one thing but so is the incredible service by the front desk staff. Both (gentleman on Saturday & lady on Sunday) were incredibly helpful & welcoming in a warm way and we left feeling so grateful for the overall experience! There is nothing to fault with this property we absolutely adored our stay and will be back time and time again. What a beautiful building, grounds, service & town so happy we found this gem!

The property had a unique atmosphere with its heritage, internal bathroom fireplace, dining rooms, windows. It was excellent.

We were only at the hotel for a short time, and so did not sample all that The Robertson had to offer.
The staff were friendly and efficient and the room was huge with a wonderful en-suite.
Parking was a little scarce and the road through the car park could do with some work to fill in the potholes.
The hotel is beautiful and the ambiance continues throughout the hotel.
We would definitely return for the right occasion.

Wonderful old building!

The atmosphere at the hotel was great as were the surroundings. Staff were friendly and helpful and the coffee and breakfast were delicious. The rooms really need to have tea/coffee making facilities rather than having to go down the hall to make a cuppa and the inclusion of a bar fridge and hairdryer would be great.

was amazing place to Celebrate my husband 65 th birthday I Recommend go for drive Bowral town. Nice cafe and shop . Robertson hotel was excellent. As soon we arrived we are greeted with lovely happy smiles with front desk and staff were lovely and friendly. We did walk around the garden and nice lovely pool areas. At night we seat at the bar for a nice cocktail and husband have a beer. Buffet Breakfast was so good with barrista coffee. I cant say any more - it was a beyond expectation of this hotel.
As someone who has been working in hospitality and hotels for more then 30 yrs, I like to share my experience on this hotel. I recommend this hotel was excellent. only one thing on this hotel my comment is room don't have air in the room . I still give the hotel 4.5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨

Beautiful old world charm. Amazing dining and sitting room and sunroom. Delicious food, service by Luca especially outstanding. Quiet, private and very relaxing.
Bathrooms however very outdated and lacking in comfort. Not enough lighting for reading in the main lounge room either. No clear directions for car parking either.

Beautiful 1920s property. What a treat to stay in such a special building! Enjoyed dinner and breakfast here. Room was lovely. Staff were exceptional.

Don't stay here if you are expecting basic comforts such as fridge, toaster, hair dryer or air conditioning and in some cases your own bathroom and toilet. The building has nice ambience on the ground floor which makes it interesting to look at but the accommodation is very poor. The building needs major renovations and repairs to restore this place to a first class hotel. The dining room is barely open and the place is run by minimal staff. A fire is run all year round and the smell of the fire rises to the accommodation above which makes it unpleasant.

Wonderful Christmas in July weekend stay. All the staff were very friendly. The rooms have been been tastefully renovated since I last stayed here 4 years ago.
The Christmas 'feel' was excellent - decorations, music, food, Santa, etc!
Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay in the Robertson hotel. Beautifully decorated with Christmas trees and lights for ‘Christmas in July’ and the fireplace at the entrance provided a warm welcome. Our room also have a lovely view of the colourful tress canopy. Overall, this hotel transported us back to history! If you are a history buff, this is a must stay location ☺️

Fires were great

It is a very nice location. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The lounge area is lovely and has a great atmosphere. However, once you go upstairs to the bedrooms area, everything becomes a bit shabby. Not only corridors but rooms need to be upgraded, too (i.e. curtains, lack of a wardrobe, no phone to call to reception, heating insufficient...). For this reason, I think it is overpriced.

Lovely building which as a long history.

This is a lovely property. The dining and bar areas are beautiful and well maintained. The accommodation was designed for an era of guesthouses rather than a modern hotel. Good quality bedding, very lovely. The halls need recarpeting.
