Such a beautiful location in Durango! We’ve stayed at this chain before and never ever any issues. But this time, I was pretty disappointed. Our room for some reason has so much random hair everywhere. Our hotel room was 407 and it was right next to housekeeping’s area where they have supplies. Our room looked like honestly the room house keeping or staff would go into to lounge around on break then fix the bed. Our sheets like I mentioned had different colors of hair and different lengths of hair and color. The bed sheets had lots of lint all over the bed. In the bathroom, the walls had lots of hair behind the toilet and hair in corners of the room. Pretty disappointed. We were moved rooms however when we unfolded a blanket- there was a large toenail in the sheets. Not sure if staff was doing this purposely or they just don’t throughly clean.

Spacious, comfortable room.
Grey Copper Tavern attached to hotel had terrible food

The room was clean, the breakfast was terrible. The server didn’t seem to care that anyone was there.

Door was off the hinge, unsafe. Couldn't close it without having to lift the whole door up! Room smelled bad. Remote control to tv didn't work.

The hotel was nice but charging for parking was not justifiable due to it's location. Nor do I appreciate being asked WHY i was in town. That's no one's business. The fireplace would NOT shut off but it gave zero heat anyway.

I actually loved this place. My room was very big/roomy with LVP wood flooring instead of carpet which was nice. The fireplace was a pleasant surprise! The lighting in the bathroom was great (low light/nightlight) and room decor was cute. The hottub was the best part! 😍 big and very hot. 🔥

Was charged more then it said.extra charge for breakfast, extra charge for parking. 1st night teenage boys checked in 3 busloads. Very loud. Up n down halls slamming doors.

Great location. Great place to stay if you’re traveling with your dog as there is a dog friendly trail at the end of the parking lot behind the hotel. The room was great, clean and comfortable. Nice bar too!

Staff were amazing and very helpful.

Hotel great but downtown label a bit misleading

The things that bothered us very much was that the hotel had a parking lot nobody else could use but charged $10 a night, and also charged $10 for each person for exactly the same breakfast that you get in similar class hotels, and it was even worse because there was no way to get waffles or pancakes because, as the attendant said, management had not given the ok to buy the machine.
We could of course have gone to another place to get breakfast, this at least was voluntary, but not the the parking. And we were not informed beforehand of the extra charges when we made the reservation.
Not happy! !

We stay at holiday Inn express all the time and I've never been charged for breakfast or parking!! $10 was their favorite number! You want the same breakfast you get at every other holiday Inn express...$10 you want to park your car like you do at every other holiday inn express...$10.
Plus they advertised as "DOWNTOWN" but it's a MILE WALK!

Amazing front desk. Emilie is the best.

We stayed for a week here for my boyfriend’s birthday. We had a phenomenal time exploring all the sites and visiting family nearby. We had impeccable service during our stay. Specifically Jeff Lyman gave us great recommendations of great foods atmosphere, hiking, etc. he was insanely well versed in the area and much of the area even further around downtown Durango. Our room was on the fourth floor with a balcony, it has its own living room area when you walk in, a mini fridge, Keurig, and a microwave. The balcony has an amazing view and we couldn’t ask for a more comfortable stay. The buffet breakfast is priced beautifully at $10 a person and has everything you need for a well balanced breakfast. To say this hotel is dog friendly is an understatement, the dog park steak is phenomenal, and all the rooms have what appear to be luxury vinyl which is much better than carpet in dog friendly hotels. I’d say majority of people who stayed here did have dogs, which was awesome. Would highly recommend staying here, it’s CLEAN and very inviting. If you’re not familiar with the sec Oscar’s is the best for breakfast, be sure to add your name to the waitlist ahead of time! It gets busy but sooooo worth it.

Mostly good. Only complaint is that breakfast buffet closed at 9:30 which is too early for a weekend.

Beds were uncomfortable, there were rose peddles left behind swept behind the room door from probably a former guests “romantic” night. We ask for a rollaway bed which they forgot about we called the front desk multiple times and they never answered we had to go down they told us they forgot which was like a couple hours after check in.

Noisy from the room above and the beds are too soft. Otherwise it’s a good place to stay.

Check in was at 3 but when we showed up they didnt have our room ready but would be just about 10 more minutes. We waited in the lobby for 45 minute and asked again and was told still not ready but offered us another room, one with out the view and fire place we had reserved. Then was asked to pay for the room when we were already charged through expidia. We asked if we were get a credit for taking a cheaper room and was told no but we could get a free parking pass. In the morning the breakfast was less then desirable. They were out of just about everything at 9am on a saturday and what they did have was not worth the extra fee that we were charged. The only good thing was the room was clean and easy to get to. Super disappointed.

The view was nice from our 3rd floor room. Bathroom was large and spacious. We didn't like that the bathroom door would open wide and hit the entry door. The staff was nice enough but the concessions items were less than worth it. I got an ice cream drumstick that had been previously melted and a Dr. Pepper that was flat. I dont think we would stay again. Ate in the restaurant and they'd had a replacement cook come in. The food was not great at all. The breakfast buffet the next morning was a $10 joke. opened up and

Loved that we were able have our pet with us. Clean rooms - really appreciate the laminate flooring. Super large dog park adjacent to parking lot!

the shower wasnt working properly. Never got it fixed correctly the 5 days we were there. Footnote: no exhaust fan in bathroom nor was there a window. Never have I experienced that.

This was like staying at an Embassy Suites, compared to the Baymont. We accidentally miscounted our days in Durango and needed an extra day. The Baymont could not accommodate us so we had to leave and I we are extremely greatful we found a room here. The room was amazing and super clean, wish we could have stayed here the whole time.

From the get-go it was a lot of miscommunication I was being charged $95 more than what I was quoted for a total on Expedia. The front Clerk that night just said oh it's third party fees and he was not helpful at all. Then the next day I got charged $15 for a property Improvement fee I didn't know about that included parking which I didn't know about either. The kind lady in the counter that day did remove it. Also the cleaning ladies skipped our room the first night and they would have the second day as well but we had to tell the front Clerk. A lot of confusion at checkout saying I was charged a certain amount yet my debit card showed another amount. I'm by no means a picky person but this place was really bad. Never again.

Charged $10/nite for parking and $10 for breakfast. Overcharged me for my room. Room didn’t have any toiletries & dispenser was broken. There was no bath mat & we almost slipped in the tub. You had to be a contortionist to reach the TP holder. The room above us had kids running around all night. And you had to insert your hotel key in order for the lights to work. Our view consisted of a dirt hill. Overall, worst hotel stay ever!

We chose this hotel because it looked safe, clean, modern and was pet friendly. Staff was friendly. Also, there is a very large (acres) of off leash dog park right beside the hotel. The convenience of the restaurant was a plus! We will definitely book this hotel the next time we visit Durango. We would like to have parking included in booking and not an extra $10.

We did have to walk a ways from our parking spot because parking lot was pretty full but the facility was nice open and clean

Paying for parking was odd. Staff was more robotic than human.

Didn’t appreciate extra charges like parking that weren’t quoted

They were rude and the room was so toxic with bleach. I want my money back.

Nice quiet property and a short walk to the train station in Durango. Much quieter than staying in downtown Durango, and nearly as convenient.

Room was lovely. Front desk clerk was rude while checking in.

This is a great property if you need a little extra space and have a dog. The hotel is located right by an off-leash dog park. Extremely convenient! The staff was so friendly too. Our room was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this property next time you are in Durango.

Room was clean. Extra charge for parking. Extra charge for breakfast buffet. Average food choices.

UNCLEAN. BAD. There were hairs in the linens: Bedding, towels, etc. This means the Housekeeping staph (No pun intended. Staph are a family of infectious bacteria) did not properly clean the room. Hair in the bedding means the staph did not change the linens after the previous guests checked out. The staph simply made the bed after the previous guests checked out. TERRIBLE. UNCLEAN. UNSANITARY. OUTRAGEOUS. REPORTED T0 THE COUNTY AND STATE HEALTH DEPTS.
We did not feel comfortable sleeping in the bed because we could not be sure what we were sleeping on. We spent an uncomfortable and skin crawling night.

Check in was a hassle the wrong day got booked due to the poor internet service I had in the area. I thought it would be a quick fix at the desk but was told I would have to contact hotels. It took me 5 phone calls every call took 15min- 25min. My booking was then booked for the wrong day again luckily they had availability and I was able to get a room unfortunately it was 6:30 pm when I finally was able to check in. Not worth the hassle to book thru a different party better to book directly thru the hotel.

I liked the location of the hotel and most of the staff was very friendly and accommodating. My room was not very clean when I checked in but the hotel staff made sure to address it. Overall, good staff and I really liked the location.
