Convenient location for train travellers. A warm welcome and excellent breakfast.
The room was rather warm thanks to a rise in outside temperature and the underfloor heating taking time to adjust

Terrific value! My room was very comfortable and beautifully furnished. I liked having the kettle, tea and coffee.
I had to leave early the next day and the owner was kind enough to provide me with a really good breakfast to go.
I've been hiking across Switzerland for the last 3 weeks and this hotel was my favorite. Highly recommended.

The hotel staff were friendly and the room was very clean.
Although the double room was comfortable it was rather small with a very small window.

Service from check in to check out was fantastic. Meals both in the ‘pub’ and restaurant were good value. Train journeys into, and out of Chateau D’Oex are spectacular.
Would have liked the old ski lift in the village to still be working. Were disappointed that our dates meant we missed the torchlight descent on the old pistes. The clearing of snow was so efficient that we fell asleep to deep snow outside and were disappointed that photos in the morning showed clear streets and paths.

helpful staff, good location, nice room with tea and coffee making equipment, and for work fast wifi and comfortable desk
Great value for price, ok breakfast, bar served all restaurant meals even through the restaurant was closed in the evening
Overall, perfect for my short stay combining outdoor activities and some work

Central location in the town. Staff were excellent, friendly, helpful, good humoured. Good choice for breakfast and plentiful, coffee replenished without asking! For Switzerland, near to a skiing area, it was very good value.
The restaurant was closed in the evening during our stay which was a shame but there was a good Italian close by.

The proprietor was so welcoming and helpful, especially as we discovered on arrival that our proof of vaccination was problematic. She couldn't have been more reassuring and she helped us get sorted for food etc. without fuss. An absolute star.
The room we had was on the small side but very cosy with lovely pale wood panelling. The beds were supremely comfortable and gave us both some of the best sleep we ever had in a hotel. I'm sure the fresh air helped, but the beds were ace.
Breakfast was delicious with plenty on offer and everything appetising, fresh and tasty. Lovely coffee too.
The location, bang in the heart of the village, was excellent and with free parking a bonus.
We definitely will go here again and would heartily recommend it. Well done!
The one tiny niggle was the lack of milk in the room for tea and coffee but it was such a small thing compared to all the good stuff, and it didn't inconvenience us at all.

Everything was great. Near all activities and trains.

Good coffee for breakfast.
Internet access fine.
Its convenient town centre location - rather than anything else - means you pay over the odds for what's otherwise a v. ordinary hotel. Parking is difficult.
Early morning traffic noise and drunks leaving the bar underneath hotel shouting in street outside at 1.30am.
Cracked sink in bathroom.
Poor room lighting; only floor-level sockets under table to plug in phones, laptops etc; no mirror except in bathroom.

The location was PERFECT
I would recommend this Hotel to anyone who wants to stay in a lovely centrally located village centre

Comfy beds, friendly staff
Our room window overlooked the Restaurant terrace, which was quite noisy until midnight.

Convenient location.
Room was too hot, and no English TV channels apart from the news. We were woken up every morning at around 3.00am, by a van doing a noisy loading/unloading job outside the pharmacy opposite.
