The hotels. com websit list WI FI, however there was none available during our entire stay. Communication from this hotel is lacking, and the AC in the room did not work that well. On the positive side, this hotel has a beautiful view, the Kitchen staff and servers contributed to making my stay at this hotel pleasant.

The property is peaceful and quiet. The only issue we had the property not wheelchair or luggage friendly

The staff was very professional, pleasant and helpful. The property was beautiful and quiet. I enjoyed the food.
The overall experience was amazing and i would stay again. All the staff were amazing from the reception staff, waiter, waitress, cleaning lady and ground staff.
We didn't like that no fridge in the room.

Just Beautiful

This was my 4th visit and sadly my last. The property looks more run down, the receptionist was the definition of deadpan - she could care less. The room was not very clean and the beds were hard. Also there was no hot water. The only plus was the Chef and the breakfast. I wouldn't be surprised if this hotel shut down in a few years.

For the money that I spend the bed should have been a better bed, there was two hard mattress put together to fit in a king size bed,the king size bed with two mattress look like they was picked up of the road side, and very very uncomfortable

We enjoyed our stay, the staff are very friendly and helpful. We loved the aircon, great help. The only thing i would suggest is each room should have as standard a mini fridge as it is a hot place, a room bin and a kettle.

The staff seemed friendly..however there was no hot water in the pipes..could not take a good shower..it was an overnight stay and frankly too expensive for what it was

The staff is pleasant and the quality and presentation of the meals were very good. The room is dated and some fixtures require more attentive maintenance.

Gorgeous property! We stayed in Ackee House. Room was spacious and kitchenette was nice to have. Only issues with the room was the fact there was no ceiling fan or other fan and moat of the windows did bot have screens on them - was issue for me as my skin takes serious issue with bug bites. And my partner and I each got a few. There is AC but we only used at night. Some noise from nearby construction but nothing that compromised my sleep. My partner will add you should ask what 'market price' is before ordering - he was not expecting to pay 3500J for steamed fish - thoughhe raved about it. The daily breakfasts were authentic and delicious. We loved ginger cat. All staff were great. Did not take advantage of any spa services but would do so next time (priced what one would expect in US - to be able to have a service and stroll back to your room nearby for a nap wouldve pure bliss!). There is nothing nearby but we had a car (required) to get around - the roads of Port Antonio are horrendus so be prepared.

I have nothing good to say for place-other than surrounded by lush vegetation. The bed was hard & very uncomfortable-worse yet. The shower & hot water didn’t work, after supposedly sending a plumber. The facility is in dire need of updating. There were people who chose to leave after first night. Not to mention we paid $180 per night-just total loss !!!!!!

The hotel was disappointing. The bed was hard, there were insects crawling in the corner of the wall. Water pressure was low. All the staff on the property were warm and welcoming.

This resort had the most beautiful grounds with plantings I didn't see anywhere else. I did not visit the spa on the grounds. I enjoyed the free breakfasts and I also ate most meals in their restaurant. My room was comfortable with quiet air conditioning and good wi-fi, though I used the table outside my room for my laptop most of the time.

I love the appearance of this place and the kitchen staff for breakfast was amazing. The main issue I had was that the internet in palm tree villa was out and they still had me stay there and when I enquired, they main no effort to do anything about it saying it went out when the storm had passed. However, everywhere else was working. I travelled from overseas and couldn’t get anything done unless I left my room to get WiFi. Oh well next time I’ll do better.

the receptionist when we check in was very nice. The food at the restaurant was good authentic Jamaican food. The Massage therapist was very good my family and I really enjoyed the spa services.

Hotel itself was OK rooms were not as clean as pictures showed on Expedia the pool area was not accessible the food was OK the staffing was wonderful but overall experience they’re out of 10 with may be a five

The bathrooms both in the guestrooms and in shared /common spaces are in desperate need of renovation.
The hotel has so much potential. It falls short on being a hidden gem. I look forward to them doing some much needed work as the location and price is ideal fora quick budget friendly getaway

Truthfully it all depends on how you book .... I will say I booked with hotels.com and the room they gave us was not so nice...AC wasnt working ... just not a good room looked run down...i complained n i was moved just next door and the difference was incredible... THEN I was satisfied...spacious clean n comfy.

The property has great scenery and the rooms are properly integrated with the trees. Great eco property

Property has so much potential, but we were disappointed in the condition. Pool area, adjacent to the restaurant, was under construction and we didn’t know until after checking in. They were pouring concrete during our breakfast. I think that could have been done during a less peak time of the day. Bathroom door didn’t fit the doorway and kept getting stuck before closing. The toilet ran through the night and it was quite loud. There were not enough lightbulbs throughout the hallways and the maintenance person just took one bulb from another part of the hallway to light the area in front of one of our rooms. However, I will say, it was a wonderful location overlooking the harbour and close to restaurants, water activities and attractions. The breakfast was a delicious Jamaican breakfast and better than the tourist food that some places try to pass off to you. They even accommodated for my vegan palate. The chef was very sweet for remembering. The reception allowed us to switch rooms to have our party of 7 closer together, which was really nice. Overall, it was an ok stay for a night and the price, but upgrades are desperately needed for this property with so much potential.

bay View is a great lodge to rest your head, situated perfectly in Port Antonio. The rooms are basic but clean, they have cable, WiFi and a beautiful property. Check out Alligator Head Foundation which is across the road and a great learning experience! The breakfast which is included in the price is excellent!!

It was a great place to stay! If I could change one thing it would be the water pressure !

The location was great, however, standard rooms need to be aired out

Really lovely to stay at this place nestled amongst the trees. Restaurant not great and food choice limited but rooms are really big and lovely. Great location for getting to the main tourist areas.
