I loved the property and how it was set up. A few tiny things niggled me. The jacuzzi bath didn't have a stopper so couldnt use it as a bath. The shower wasnt cleaned properly, there was hairs all over. No other plugs for international guests. Some of the lights didnt work.

Quite, clean, well equipped apartment
Limited parking
Low water pressure in shower
Wild mosquitoes

Thanks again for such an amazing stay. Everyone was so friendly and helpful and we couldn't have picked a better place on the island. It's in a lovely quiet neighbourhood with beautiful views both out to sea and in and around the grounds. Couldn't recommend SCH enough.

Great place to stay, but not close to much, which is the only downside. Great to stay here if you have a car, & like being alone, but if not, probably better to stay in Jolly Harbour, where we had to end up driving to for groceries & dinner. There are allegedly some small, local restaurants nearby in the small town of Morris Bay, but none were open. A bit farther, in Carlisle Bay, there is a fantastic (but pricey but worth it) Greek restaurant about a 15 min walk, with beautiful views.

This is Fantastic property set in a quiet rural location, in a gated community with it’s own fabulous pool and a views of the sea. It’s a short 10 min drive to Jolly Harbour or 20 min to English Harbour. There is a huge amount of well kept grounds to stroll around, with a short walk to it’s own private beach. The staff are wonderful. Housekeeping come every other day and do a fantastic job. Security is on every night. The accommodation is immaculately clean & comfortable and with only 10 or so villas on the property it’s never crowded. This is a real gem on the south coast of Antigua, just around the corner from some of the most prestigious resorts in Antigua. Well worth staying!!

Each room looks little bit different from an another one. In my room I had a stove, another one didn’t have it. The rooms look ok, but the doors have spaces underneath so insects escape to the room. The rooms has a signs to turn off AC and lights when you leave. Excuse me??? This is ridiculous. The beach is very far away and you have to use raft to get there. It’s dirty and isolated. There are no restaurants around so you have to use taxi, or public transportation to get anywhere. Very inconvenient!

I like Ed the privacy. The security was excellent. He checked every night to make sure you are in before closing the gate at night

Expedia or the property lied about the price of the room. Kind of shady.

I loved my stay and wished it was longer. There was not a lot of other guests because it was out of season. Arion was great, attentive, and helpful. I would definitely go back for a longer stay. My only issue was the internet but I got a portable wifi since I was working remotely.

I’ve stayed this place about 5 years ago and this was my sexologist time here. The room was well renovated and was clean enough. Bathroom look clean and everything worked perfect. The room has nice garden view balcony and I had breakfast every morning at this balcony. There is a nice swimming pool in the property. The owner lady welcomed me just like came back home. Great place to relax away from hustle. Just short drive to the beaches. To supermarket in Jolly Harbour, it’s about 10min drive. Thank you again and will be back soon.

The upgraded unit was complete with stove, micro., fridge, etc., and view from front porch pleasant. Pool seemed adequate in size to actually swim laps, although I did not use. There was no hotel lounge or source of food, such as a restaurant or vending machine on site, and a taxi or bus needed to be taken to get to most things, like restaurant, food store, etc., and main city of St. John's was about 30-40 away by van type bus. Cost by bus, only a couple of dollars or so, U.S., but by taxi, think $30-plus. For quiet couples into each other primarily vacation- fine spot.

I stayed here for a week mid june. From what i could see i was the only guest at the hotel until another couple arrived mid week. Lovely grounds and a lot of open space. It was breezy every day which helped keep temp more comfortable. A/c worked very efficiently and wasnt noisy. The shower only had a very weak flow but did the job well enough. Bed was comfortable enough and housekeeping came every day. Towels are provided. Decor is dated and bathrooms could do with being completely redone but it was all functional.Beach is a bit of a trek to get to and across a lagoon so didnt bother with that beach. Pool is an ok size and temp but did need cleaning from leaves, bugs and other plant material. Overall it was a pleasant stay and i would stay here again. It is out of the way so hiring a car would be best. This side of the island is the best in my opionion having stayed all over the island over the years.

Enjoyed the stay at South Coast Horizon. Stayed in a signature bungalow - the accommodation was basic but comfortable - the kitchen was missing things I'd expect from self catering such as can opener, tea towel, washing up liquid and only 1 frying pan and saucepan. However, you get round it and get used to it. There is air conditioning in the bedroom, good strength wifi (in the bungalow and the gardens/pool area) and cable TV. The shower is very weak at times, but at other times was fine. The reception and cleaning staff were very pleasant and provided the additional pillow and change of linen we requested without any bother. Arrived late at night and got the keys from the security guard. The location is beautiful and away from the touristy scene, but close enough to drive to good nearby restaurants and beaches between Cades Bay and Jolly Harbour. I'd recommend having a car, although you could use the local buses or taxis. Nothing really within walking distance apart from Morris Beach. Had a great stay. Totally chilled out.

The location was close to some great beaches and restaurants. The rooms (as expected) were quite dated. The water pressure was minimal at best and one night we didn't have hot water.

Lost power frequently, tiny ants, no jet tub, pealing wallpaper... looks good online but not at all what's advertised

I got to the hotel late because of late arrival of the Liat flight from Dominica. The airline called the hotel of my probable late arrival. On getting to the hotel, there was nobody to be found. It was as silent as grave yard. All one could hear was the sound of crickets crowing in the night. All the knocking in the door of the office and the hooting of the horn of the taxi cab could not bring somebody out to attend to me. I was around for about 15 minutes without anybody showing up. I had to drive back to find another hotel to keep the night.

Service standard is very basic. Not good value for money.

We didn't arrive at the hotel until after 6 PM and the office was closed but security gave us our keys to the room and made sure we were all checked in, the studios are small but what you would expect of a typical hotel room I would recommend getting a suite you might have to pay a little extra but it is definitely worth it if you like more space, the staff is very friendly and will do their best to accommodate any needs you have, the location is perfect for beachgoers

Reception was just a small building with one person running the place from 8 to 6pm.
The studio apartment was of poor quality with no running water during the night and sometime in the day or a cooker.
The bathroom was dirty and required redecorating, both bedroom and bathroom was infested with insects.
The swimming pool condition was poor. The general condition of South coast Horizon was below standard, poor.
South coast Horizon is not a two star guest house / hotel. There is not facilities to buy food stuff without driving two miles or more.

The grounds are excellent and staff very friendly. Water supply needs improvement. Very spacious for a family stay.

Nice place very quiet. Nice women runs it.
