The biggest advantage of this place is the banana plantation itself - it's amazing to sleep in the heart of plantation.
Our host has made a nice tour around plantation and explained how it works.
Great swimming pool area - there were few people at that time so we actually enjoyed a lot being there alone.
Good food, room was rather small but comfortable and clean.
Not everyone can speak English but even though we managed to communicate and understand each other.
Room was a bit dark and small but it wasn't that important as we didn't spend much time in the room. Fridge was loud.

Delicious local dishes in hotel restaurant! It is not common as we realized later during searching for local cuisine. Nice location in the middle of banana fields, large parking lot.
Staff was really friendly and helpful.
Just a little inconvenience: even it is located nearby Arucas and it took like 15mins by walk to downtown, there is no sidewalk and path is half on the road and half on the old stone path. So it would be better to go by car or taxi.

The hotel was perfectly located close to Arucas. The atmosphere was calm and the plantation was a spectacular view. The pool was great.
The rooms smelt a bit due to the furnitures.

A stunning hotel full of character. Peaceful and quiet in a stunning location surrounded by a banana plantation. Dinner and breakfast were wonderful and the staff so polite, friendly and professional. Thanks for a superb stay.
Nothing, keep up the good work.

Exceptional stay in beautiful scenary of banana plantation. Very quiet, very good breakfast. Staff was very helpful and were able to accomodate all my special requests. Pool was partially heated and you could swim in it even in April. Free parking was appreciated. Bonus point for their very cuddly house cat.
Water temperature in Jacuzzi should be higher (it wasn't warm/hot, but luke water). In my opinion, price for 3-course dinner menu was too high (28 euro/person) and it didn't include drink.

very well designed hotel with lovely comfortable rooms. opportunity to relax in outdoor space
the evening meals were not great and although the breakfast was good, the coffee was poor (no filter of caffetiere coffee). to get anywhere from the hotel on foot involved walking along a busy road with no pavements

The hotel and grounds are beautiful, full of history, with lovely views. Really comfortable beds and quality linen. A lovely welcome at reception. The spa was a bonus too.
AVOID EATING HERE we had a Fawlty Towers experience in the restaurant. We sat down to a table laid with broken wine glass. The waiters and kitchen managed to serve us a warm bread roll each in the 90 mins we stayed. After a wait of 45 mins, the prawn starters were all served piping hot on the outside and refrigerator cold in the centre, perfect for potential food poisoning.
After another 30 mins, we were told the chicken was not available, so instead, we were given some old overcooked fish that even a steak knife couldn't cut. The others were served a mound of rice with 5 dry meatballs rolling around the outside, no sauce, again cold.
Really, you couldn't make this up it was an absolute comedy of errors. Needless to say, we had to go to bed hungry. We drove to Arucas for breakfast as we couldn't face another performance and really needed to eat something edible.
This is such a shame as the hotel is so beautiful. If you decide to stay, just eat elsewhere.
Another note for anyone with mobility issues is that the bathrooms have showers over baths, which are up a step and no handrail or anti slip mat.

I loved the originality. That's about it.
The cockroaches! The moment we arrived, there was a huge one looking at me in the sink hole. I closed the plastic cover and he remained there during the rest of our stay. He was making a noise in the night :(
The location should be a museum - not a hotel.
Obviously it is a special location with history - but there was no information about it. I was overall disappointed.

Apart from the coffee (see below) the breakfast was good with plenty of fresh bread, fruit, yogurts etc. but the scrambled egg wasn't good, possibly made with powdered egg?
Before booking we read the previous reviews, many of which complained about the coffee at breakfast. We felt exactly the same, the breakfast coffee was awful. Why on earth don't the owners take notice of the bad reviews and invest in a new coffee machine? There is a second machine which makes really good coffee but we discovered we had to request this as a special service. Thank you to both the waiters!

Great serviceminded staff, always helpfull and happy! A nice pool area and jacuzzi. Big rooms. Small distance to Arucas which is one of best places of GC
small beds like 190 or so (in the room i had which was the cheapest one). Room was a bit dusty.

Very nice and charming hotel surrounded by a banana plantation and there's free bananas everywhere in the hotel , the jacuzzi was great and staff was very nice and friendly.
Hard to get to without a car, would be interesting to know a little bit more about the history of the place and the banana plantation around it. The room was quite dark and had a strange smell (kind of got used to it after a while).

I loved staying here, simple as that. It is, without doubt, the complete antithesis of Playa del Ingles - peaceful, charming and full of history and character.
This a real working hacienda located in the middle of a banana plantation. It’s gorgeous, and even more so because it still functions as a plantation. The main structure itself is a grand rustic building surrounded by some farm buildings. The farm buildings are used to maintain the plantation and the hacienda itself has been converted into a hotel.
My room was very comfortable with a well appointed bathroom and very comfortable bed. I stayed in a junior suite which was fairly large but less bright than I expected; however I chose to see it as atmospheric and moody, which indeed it was.
I found everything about the hacienda enchanting - its peaceful location, the lovely views across the banana palms down to the coat, the views up to Arucas, the birds chirping, the odd farm vehicle harvesting large bunches of bananas and the colour of the sky against the oche coloured hacienda.
This is not a fancy hotel, it’s not slick, it’s not polished and perfect. But it doesn’t matter; I loved its rustic granduer, I loved its honesty and not having had its character and history knocked out if it by unsympathetic and insensitive refurbishment.
The WiFi was excellent apart from not being able to auto join every time I left and came back. TV was great if you were a Spanish speaker, not so great if you are not. My TV was Netflix enabled but I couldn’t find other apps like Prime.
All the staff were kind and helpful. The breakfast was very good and served in the restaurant which is an atmospheric converted stables. If not exceptional, there was a good selection of choices that would suit most tastes. I enjoyed dinner in the restaurant too and found the food tasty and very reasonable; again not exceptional but good home cooking.
My only criticism is some details need to be kept on top of and not left to erode. For example I found all of the exterior furniture quite old and in some cases well past their prime, particularly the pool loungers.

Location, in the middle of banana trees, beautifull hacienda, peacefull(except for small children if they are next to your room!)
Started very bad at arrival, we did not get the romm we booked. At reception we were told the mistake came from booking.com.With proof in my hand in spanish the man did not change his mind..Our romm was not available, another romm we had to pay more..Suddenly after dinner, the big boss himself had arranged everything, we were here 9 nights and suddenly no more problem, there was even a free upgrade!..Restaurant not very good, breakfst ok but every day the same..Sometimes no warm water and tub did not work well..We had expected something a little bit better..

Beautifull domain with a relaxed atmosphere during the day where we were treated like kings by a friendly staff and good food.
The room on the ground floor had mold on the walls. Friendly staff moved us to a first Floor suite. Room was OK but needed a refresh and bathroom make-over. Not everything felt clean. Room was extremely noisy so we die not sleep well for toool night in a ros because of otter guests snorring or Galkin ween arriving in the middle of the night.

Food was good.
The junior suite was badly designed as one hit ones head fairly frequently on the beams. Also the stairs were quite dangerous due to poor lighting

very relaxing, peaceful, beautiful grand building
the spa and pool area were a little shabby, needed a good clean and the furniture was old and needs replacing. Furniture on some of the terraces was not very stylish and needs replacing

The area with banana plantation is fantastic! It's nice and quiet ,perfect for relaxation.
Acces according to the navigation almost led us through a very bad road ,was easier to look out and follow the signs from Arucas.
