Recently renovated so no sign of 'tired carpets' or similar: everything immaculate. Possibly denuded of any real 'alpine' feel in the process though. Staff all very polite and helpful. My room had a hoid sized shower room (shiny floor as is so often the case - good job i had flip flops) but the room itself was far from spacious. Nevertheless the bed was very comfortable and the sounproofing was excellent. And what views! I was on a corner and had virws of mountains out if both - expecially magical in late or early sun. Breakfast was fine but not cheap at €15. For those with small appetites thete were two bakers still open in October at leaat one if which had a petit déj option. Also a a super little restaurant 5 mins walk away with atmosphere and very reasonable prices (Les Voisines). The (free) guest card gives free travel on the little train into Chamonix and beyond (or the replacement bus service as it was in October, with super-friendly drivers).

Lovely renovated old hotel

The room was brand new, functional, cool interior designed with fully soundproof window. Properly cleaned as well.

The room was too small as a double. It was located in the attic, with a high window which allowed only for sky views. The room was extremely hot & therefore we had to sleep with the window wide open despite the hotel bring in a main road. On one of the days the lift was not functioning

Nice clean hotel newly renovated. Excellent breakfast for €13.

Stayed here for UTMB week clean and comfortable single room with breathtaking mountain views and easy links to public transport, good quality continental breakfast, knowledgeable & very helpful staff, really enjoyed my stay here.

The hotel and rooms were nice, more or less what we expected. The staff, however, were incredibly helpful in every way. I would certainly choose to stay here again if/when I return to Argentiere.

Cheap and cheerful hotel, stayed many times.

Hospitality of owners is great, hotel is clean, beds are good, breakfast is great, but hotel is very outdated and needs major renovation to get to current standards, the garden is part of restaurant and is not ‘free’ part of the hotel to enjoy on your own, it feels like being part of the business.

They let us keep a room till 5pm for a late departure after skiing.
Very friendly and well located.

A very nice hotel. The staff was service minded and accomodating. Close to the bus stop and walking distance to the fantastic ski area Grand Montet.
We had an outstanding week in Argentiere!

Excellent service and great location

Amazing location in the heart of town. And despite its proximity to the Main Street, the noiseproofed windows were very effective. The manager on duty was very friendly and helpful. That being said, this is an old building and the decor and finishes are very dated. Also, although they are willing to accommodate vegans at dinner, the food was TERRIBLE with no seasoning whatsoever and the attitude of the waitstaff was rather dismissive. Oh, and the WiFi is dreadfully slow!

Great hotel right in town. Lots of great places to eat and get supplies. Front desk was incredibly helpful and attentive.

Stayed here during the TMB hike. The hotel is about a 40 minute walk from the trail, but we absolutely loved our night in Argentiere. The staff was ridiculously gracious and helpful, including giving us tape and a box so we could ship back unnecessary belongings to our starting place.

The owner Bernard his wife and all the staff were the nicest friendly people you could ever hope to meet. They even surprised my wife with a bottle of champagne on her birthday.
Will definitely be returning next year.

Reception very organised for late night arrival. Very friendly staff happy to share information. Hotel nice and clean and warm. The single room was compact but had a kettle and tea & coffee. A bonus after a hard day skiing was a bath. Its about a 10 min walk to the lifts so best tohire skis and boots from skiset by the lifts and walk there in your boots.

I went to Argentiere to ski and the hotel, staff, room and views of the Alps were all terrific. Bernard and Chantal were lovely at reception and all of the staff were great. Terrific and generous breakfast. Very close to the bus and train. I had a room with a balcony and beautiful views of the valley and mountains. The room was space with 2 comfy chairs, desk and a good sized bathroom.

nice hotel for ski, comfort and easy to grands montets

On the whole nice, however when i arrived they said they had charged my card twice and would refund the difference. They refunded difference and then said infact they had not charged the card twice and had to take the payment! So all a bit unprofessional.
