Quality property in a quiet location. Staff are very helpful and provide a drop off\pickup service in the Ubud area.

We stayed at Motama for 10 days and it was the perfect location for the holiday we were after. Less than 5 minutes walk to Yoga Barn, endless restaurants and a Coco supermarket.
If you don't feel like walking, or needed to be picked up from any location, a free private car can be arranged by simply calling on the mobile phone provided to you at check in.
The villa itself was fantastic - I have no complaints. Our villa partially faced another hotel but this didn't affect our privacy at all. The pool was fresh water - or very low levels of chlorine - it was so refreshing and it felt like you were swimming in a lake. Such a highlight!
The bedroom & bathroom was spacious and I loved how the living area/kitchenette was set in a protected outdoor area. We made most of the daylight hours by the pool - on one occasion, we didn't leave the villa for a day, it was so nice to just relax.
The daily breakfast choices were delicious and easily made to be vegetarian/vegan; The juices are all freshly made.
The staff were absolutely lovely - Gde and his team made you feel very welcome and every request was quickly executed. Language was not a barrier, their English was better than my Indonesian, so I'm thankful for their efforts. All the personal touches by the team made the stay special, such as checking in at the villa - there is no formal reception - so you can directly ask questions about your room upon arrival and through to an evening turn-down service, where pj's were provided.

Great place for relaxing, no complaints whatsoever...Not in Ubud town center, but that was a known issue when making the booking. To overcome this the staff also offers free transportations to & from Ubud.We had one of the two villas, where the infinity pool is overlooking the rice paddy... rare extra for a villa.

Lovely place, and really lovely staff. We were given a mobile phone so that we could contact staff wherever and whenever needed. A shuttle was provided, but the town centre was only a 10 min walk so we did that most of the time.
The breakfast was a little disappointing, and twice we didn't get what we ordered.
I have to draw everyone's attention to the view. I think 2 of the villas do indeed look over paddy-fields, but the other 2 don't, and actually look over another hotel (picture provided). It is currently having works done, so that was a little annoying, but not a fault of Motama, but can be an issue, and could be disappointing if you were expecting the paddy-field views as we were.

Motama Villa is set in a tranquil location away from the Ubud town Centre. Entering the Villa will take your breath away, the size of the room with the equally sized bathroom and large outdoor area with infinity pool. We stayed here with our 1.5 year old who had plenty of room to run and play. The staff at Motama Villa are only too happy to attend to your needs, offering a taxi service to take you into town from 7am onwards, however if you decide your happy to dine in the meals are fantastic and breakfast in the morning was exceptional. We stayed in Villa 3 as 1 & 2 where already booked and still had views of the rice fields, their is construction next door which is annoying if you intend to spend the day at the Villa but if your out and about you wont notice it too much. Construction seems to be taking place everywhere in Bali at the moment and is very hard to avoid.Thank you to Gde and Wayan for making our trip memorable!

The villa is good size and the staff are very friendly, everything looks good till you look out at the pool area and instead of rice fields you see another lot of villas looking into room? Not what all the photos show you on the websites?? No privacy as when we were staying there , there were workmen still building the villas right opposite looking to our room so had to keep curtains draw all the time. Management were very appogetic when we arrived but why were their still photos of rice fields etc on the website when they don't exist any more, at least on Villa 4 unsure about other villas. Disappointed with our villa as it was overpriced for what it was. The management should update photos so people can make an informed decision.

Gde the manager was very very lovely and welcoming. He would go out of his way to make us feel at home.
The villa was perfect and very clean. You have views of the farmers getting naked and cleaning them selves in the water hole near the rice fields which is very funny haha.
The construction is a tad annoying but not the worst.
I would 100% stay there again. Breakfast was delicous too!

We had a few nights in Ubud which we spend at Motama Villa. We were SO happy with our stay, so beautiful and relaxing. We could not have picked a better place to stay during our honeymoon! The service was amazing, the rooms were beautiful, view stunning etc. I hope other people consider this place as this is what makes visiting new places so lovely, not the big resorts!

Enjoyed our stay in Motama. Staff were always willing to help us and friendly. Overlooking rice paddy from the private pool is relaxing. However there were construction going on next door and noise was a bit annoying. When the construction is done, it will be much more enjoyable to stay in the villa all day.

We had a great stay at Motama with our toddler. Staff were very nice and the villa was amazing! Driver service to and from Ubud was great. We had the 'real' Bali experience here, will definitely be going back.

Villa number 4 is no longer "private" due to the construction going on below. Now, in any other circumstance, this would be the MOST AMAZING place to stay. It's spacious, the bath is huge, the garden is beautiful, the staff are incredibly attentive. They give you a phone for your stay that you can use to call for a pick up from anywhere in Ubud. I was going to move to a different Villa with a private outlook after the first 2 nights when one became available, but increasingly I became less happy with the accommodation. The villa is next to a school and a sports field. On the weekend, they play soccer all day and the cheering, loudspeaker announcement and disco music are so incredibly loud. Then, there is also drumming practice. LOUD. This combined with the construction (yelling, banging, roosters calling, old men hacking up phlegm, fires burning) made for NOT the peaceful stay I was looking for. The bugs and geckos, whatever. The large huntsman, meh, I'm Aussie, I can deal with that. However, on the second night I had a rodent or some kind of small mammal in the room. The breakfast left a little to be desired (I know Asian countries don't tend to do Western breakfast well) but I was paying approx $150AUD per night here. This is Bali, I could have paid that for the whole week if I wanted! The airport transfer at other hotels may be as little as 250,000. This room needs to be cheaper, and guests need to know beforehand the view is spoiled and NOT private.
