We've stayed in 3 different hotels when visiting our son. This is our favorite!

Adequate space, great bathroom, comfortable bed. Had a problem with the AC- maintenance was in it immediately. Stayed on 6th floor- AWAY from possible noise from Nightclub on the 15th. Convenient location for our needs

This hotel is definitely not worth the price it's listed for. The candy in the mini bar was expired. The water pressure in the shower was some of the worst I've seen in a hotel

Its a nightclub at least 3 days a week, where hotel guests are not the priority on these days.
Hotel bar area service is shocking during the day as they are preparing for the night.
Charge a $36 a night fee on top of every for amenitys they Dont tell you are included.
If you want to party perfectly if you want to get up at a sensible time in the morning Dont bother the club nights finish around 2am Thur-sat.

Location was great for us, room was clean, info on hotels.com was accurate. One thing they forgot to mention was there is a rooftop club on level 15 that is so dang loud and music plays wide open until 4 am! My pillow vibrated with the music it was so loud and we were on 20th floor! Also I requested a cot and crib and was told month before visit, no problem we will have it for you. Call to remind us day before visit. Called day before visit, yes we have you listed for cot and crib. Called again while at airport before we left on day of and yes we have you down. Get to hotel and sorry we only have cribs. WTH! I had to go buy an air mattress at 9 pm at night which was 6-8 blocks away from hotel!

The hotel is in a great location (we love the LES), with many restaurants and things to do. The staff is always friendly and helpful. On my husband's birthday, the staff provided sparkling champagne and glasses in our room. So sweet. They always accommodate late checkout, which is helpful as our flight is always late in the afternoon. We will stay here every time we are in NYC.

I was more than pleased with my stay at the Indigo. The room was clean and spacious. The king sized bed was soooo comfortable. Even though my room was directly across from the elevator, it remained fairly quiet. I was also a huge fan of the provided soaps and lotion (meant to get the name). Staff was friendly and attentive. And lastly the location is cool. You kinda get a little flavor of everything the city has to offer. The good and the eh, ya know, not necessarily the greatest, but it’s New York. Get over it.

Great boutique hotel in lower East Side. Service was great and the room was a good size for NY!

The hotel is nice and clean , staff polite . Rooms are very large for a NYC hotel, bathroom spacious and clean . The only thing really negative is the noise from the bar that closes around 4 am . First night I could sleep 3-4 hours towards the morning . It’s not even the music per se because you don’t hear it , you hear the tythmoc vibrations coming through the walls and even the bed is vibrating . I understood that happens every night of Friday and Saturday but the rest of the week is quiet . Unlucky us that came for a weekend .

+ Staff was nice
+ Room was clean
- Noise from bars on Orchard St. + NYPD response awakened us several times each night (Fri-Sun)
- Amenity fee ($36/night) tacked onto bill

Great hotel for solo travelers, great amenities, and friendly staff.

Great walkable location if you are ok with noise both from the street and the hotel. my room was right over “the club”… barely slept. As it got closer to the weekend the bass got louder and physically shook my bed. Touted as a sweet, was just a large ADA compliant room, which in NY, was a sweet deal, but led to a fully soaked bathroom thanks to the roll in shower.
Easy access to subway, great restaurants, but there are quieter hotels if you actually want rest.

This was our 2nd time at the Hotel Indigo this summer. Close to the subway and plenty of dining and drinking establishments within walking distance. For a NYC hotel, this place delivers a great bang for the buck including a great bed and shower. The Lower East Side probably will not appeal to many, as it is a little edgy. Not quite the 1970s as far as crime and decrepitude but it's not Disneyland either. With that said, I still look forward to going back. I also have point out that the staff went above and beyond in returning my Kindle that I had carelessly left in the room. Sent them a UPS shipping label and had it back in 2 days. Great service!

I've been to NY a lot and with kids and this is not a place for families, or if you need sleep. I overlooked the level 14 Club and even after the 4am closing time, massive crowds (I thought a protest was happening at 4am) in the street screaming / yelling and cars / motorcycles revving the engines until almost 5am. We had to move hotels after the first night to accommodate our children and the fact that I had to get up and work the next morning. So much trash left in the streets after too - sad.

Spent a long weekend in Manhattan with my wife. The room was nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable. The only issue was that we couldn’t connect to WiFi from our room but it worked out when we finally got a prompt near the lobby. Nice view from Purple where we ate breakfast and drank cocktails in the evenings.

We loved the modern art all throughout the hotel! We stayed for one night but got to experience the rooftop bar which was amazing! It was very close to the subway as well!

Staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. This is a funky hotel in a vibrant lively neighbourhood with access to lots of great eating places and nightlife. Perhaps not suited to my middle aged demographic as it was VERY noisy. Staff were quick to respond when we asked to move to a quieter room ( our first room opened to the lift lobby) but the street noise on a weekend was pretty bad. The rooftop pool and bar was gorgeous, but be aware of the nightclub in the building!

The staff were amazing but unless you’re there to get access to Mr Purple, I’d recommend staying somewhere else

Staff are top notch. Outside this location is spicy to say the less. Outside noise till while after 12:pm on a Monday night, but it is NYC.

Very clean and professional staff .

Check in was an absolute disaster. The agent was extremely rude, unprofessional and uninterested. He assigned me a lower category room than originally booked…so had to re-check in and get right room.
Amenities supposed to be included as part of the paid for daily facilities were not available - no room service despite trying everyday for 5 days, mini bar not replenished. Citibike on one way was not correctly processed so didn’t work and on any other day had to request for it…
Rooms are not sound proofed…at all. Furniture in the room was dancing when the roof top evening party was going on…literally…
The same agent at check out was once again discourteous and uninterested.

Staff at my check in was terrible - unprofessional and quite rude. Assigned me a lower category room than booked initially and then tried to justify it as being the correct room…cheeky! Room is average.
Staff in the evening were much better.
Amenities included in the room fees - hahah! You have to ask for these…minibar is not replenished daily, room service does not exist as tried to call each day for 5 days with no response..!? The daily credit for room service simply had to be forfeited as there was simply no service provided.
Location was great for our particular plans at the time…hotel service and rooms…not so great!

Great location, walkable, great pool and bar, shopping but our shower was GROSS! There was mold all over our shower - the door, the grout and the worst in and all over the shower head. I talked to the mgr and he said they'd have someone up to clean it in 15 minutes. That did not happen so I called again and they came up and cleaned the room which we did not ask for but DID NOT clean the mold in the shower. WHAT? Upon check-out I told the front desk again about the issue and I hope to get one night free for the issue.

Really great location

The hotel itself is good and the staff are polite. However, there is an external company that runs the 15th floor which is a noisy nightclub and goes on until 4am at the weekend. They also run the breakfast and only offer a egg and bacon roll/muffin/juice/coffee which comes via very rude staff. The pool is tiny with very limited access to hotel guest is very limited. Shame as the hotel is good.

This is my honest opinion about my stay with Hotel Indigo Lower East Side:
Booked through AMEX Travel Aug 15-16, 2024 using points and Expedia for August 16-20, 2024.
1. The price is reasonable I booked for 6 days, 5 nights and spent around $1k.
2. Spacious rooms, compared to other NYC hotels.
3. The floors of our room was so dirty.
4. Katz Deli in the corner. A lot of restaurants in the area. CVS and Whole foods nearby. The area is more local neighborhood which is great cause it's less busy.
5. Train stations are couple of blocks away, i'd say about 5-10 minutes walk.
6. Mr Purple is in the building so easy access if you're a guests at the hotel. Great views!
7. Our room is a Queen room in the 20th floor it seems like a standard room when I booked a Premium. I requested for a Manhattan view, I got a Brooklyn View not bad but was expecting the "City View" I booked to be Manhattan.
8. Gladly we were at the 20th floor because at the 15th floor is the Mr Purple. One time we were at the elevator with this older couple I believe they went off at 12th or 18th floor which had a crazy vibration from the music at the 15th floor. I felt so bad for them.
9. Elevators was slow because it kept stopping at 15th floor.
10. Front desk can't be bother especially this girl who was there that can't even take off her eyes from her phone.
11. If you're planning on staying here to relax, this is not the hotel for you unless they put you on the 20th floor and above.

The staff was outstanding from before we even walked in the door. Excellent service at the door, checking in, and exiting the hotel.

Outstanding service
4.0 / 5.0
The staff was friendly and efficient. We had an issu with the window not closing properly wich make the outside noise worst and they took care of it quickly. There's a lot of restaurant, coffee shop, bars around. There is also a grocery store a few blocks away. The pool is small and only accessible before 5pm. The pool is in the "mr.purple" restaurant/club so maybe not the most family friendly vibe.

I blame Hotels.com but I didn't get an email verification for this reservation, so I didn't stay and I got billed $400. Ugh.
