Very bad experience, would not recommend and definitely would not stay there again. Night front desk lady was very rude and had an attitude, offered no help with bad toilet and said to fix it myself.

Door lock was broken. Dead bolt lock did not work.
You get what you pay for. Extra small.

We didn’t like:
Bugs in the room, unruly noisy guests,no clean bed sheets everyday, not enough bath towels, and poor house keeping,(among other things)
Things we liked:
Great location, and friendly staff.
P.S In the future we won’t be lodging at this hotel

The Sara Suites is a low cost, quite basic hotel on the wrong side of the road from the beach. Rooms are sparse - there was no chair at all, but clean and with an excellent air-conditioning system - very quiet and kept the room constantly cool. The bed was comfortable, once you had removed the plastic undersheet (I replaced it with a towel, just in case it got too hot in the night!). My room safe may not have been working (or it may have needed new batteries). Theres enough storage space, and the shower was fine , though it took a long time for the hot water to run through at the end of the corridor.Although reception is manned 24 hours, staff are laid back and dont speak much English, and you can gain uncontrolled access to the hotel round the back, so security is minimal - but it doesnt feel like a place where that matters too much. The restaurant was only open on Friday/Saturday, and most of the items on the lunch menu were unavailable - but 500m away ion the centre of the village there are dozens of restaurants offering as wide range of Mexican and international food. (The nearest restaurant is possibly the most expensive in town). Its quite close to the Mango discotheque and on Sunday night I was kept awake - nothing the hotel can do about this. The pool is pleasant - kept clean, quite small but not too crowded. Although the hotel has a quiet policy from 2200-0800, in practice you can swim in the pool at almost any time (its lit past midnight).

Thought it was a suite type hotel, hence Sara Suites. Not! No fridge, no microwave, no coffe pot. They tried to make me pay again. Told them I had paid you with my Visa card. Had to ask for water bottles as there was only one in our room. The bed was on a cement slab with only a mattress. Very uncomfortable to sleep on. The breakfast was horrible and the coffee at the restaurant tasted like iodine! Yuk! All in all, I would not stay there again, nor recommend it to anyone. The staff was not friendly.

Chose this hotel because of the description on the website; king size beds, breakfast, luxury suites, jetted tubs, bottled water in rooms, airport shuttle. I arrived and showed the woman at the front desk my printout of my reservation and she did not seem to know what to do with it (nor could she even find a pen). I was given a room with a double bed, and a shower which consisted of a pipe coming out of the wall. The lighting consists of CFL bulbs screwed into the ceiling. The was a closet with no hangars which had a small drawer at the bottom. The was no other furniture in the room except for a small shelf which had a single bottle of water on it. There was no ice machine, or an ice bucket to put it in. The view was of a trash strewn lot behind the building. I considered my options and left without asking for my money back. Makes me doubt the veracity of the Hotels.Com website.

La ubicación es muy buena sin ser un hotel de playa, caminando el mar esta a 100 metros. Acceso bueno y seguro a toda hora.
The location is very good without being a beach hotel , walking the sea is 300 pies. good and safe access at all times . Next to the hotel there is an OXXO store. Close to restaurants and craft market.
The rooms are simple but clean and the beds and furniture are in good condition.
The pool is cold , but you do not use it, since the sea is very close and the beautiful Playa El Palmar...
