Great friendly service from checking in to checking out, made to feel appreciated for choosing to stay here.
The room itself was nice, warm & comfortable with some original features of the building alongside modern details.
Breakfast was nice & a good selection from cereals to fully cooked breakfast with yogurts, juices also avaliable.
Wouldnt have any hesitation in staying here again.

Was a really lovely stay. Natasha was so helpful and kind. Easy walk into Bury’s centre, accommodation was full of character and very comfortable with a lovely breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend!

We loved our stay in the Abbey Hotel and apartments, the staff, breakfast & attention to detail were amazing. Very easy walk into the town centre with its unique shops, pubs & restaurants, also not forgetting the Cathedral & Abbey Gardens.
Bury St Edmunds is a must to visit.

Lovely hotel , service excellent, , furniture in room bit tired needs a refresh , breakfast really good , must give staff 10 out of 10 , on site parking, only 10 minutes walk to town centre

The staff was excellent and our accommodations were excellent. We enjoyed it very stay so much we are returning this next week.

Staff were really lovely, beautiful breakfast too

The hotel was rather pleasant, the staff were really friendly and helpful. It has an oldie worldy feel about it and this also is expressed in the decor, if this is the ambiance you are after then this is the place for you.
Breakfast was really nice and there was a good variety on offer.
They were very accomodating with regards to car parking, we were allowed to leave the car in the car park whilst we went in to the town after checkout. A nice touch.
My only down side to this was the price, as nice and pleasa t as it was it in my opinion does not warrant the price tag of £170 for the night we paid.
4.7
Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Staff very friendly and breakfast very good. Very narrow entrance to parking area but safe place to park once in! Nice to be able to walk into the town from the hotel.
4.7
Stayed the separate apartment which was rather special with very old period features.
Breakfast was cooked to perfection and superb sausages. Would recommend! Yes

We were not staying in the main hotel building but in a separate cottage. When we arrived the heating had not been switched on & the building was cold & took several hours to warm up requiring us to keep our costs on. The bathroom was very small & cramped. The arm chairs were hard & uncomfortable. There was very little space for our luggage. Considering all this it was very expensive including a surcharge we were not expecting. When we queried this there was no one to provide an explanation.

Fantastic extra’s tea, coffee, milk, biscuits. Plenty of toiletries, slippers and use of bathrobes. Great staff, very welcoming and helpful. Lovely comfortable bed but found the sofa a little uncomfortable. Nice seating area in the garden.

We had 1 nights stay in the suite which is a separate building. It is the converted blacksmiths forge and is a really lovely little “house”. Kitchenette with fresh milk in the fridge ( thank you! So much nicer than those little pots of long life you often get in hotels!), lots of tea and coffee too. Bathroom on the ground floor too with a bath and separate shower. Plenty of very hot water!
Lounge area is a double height beamed ceiling room with a sofa bed and dining table. Then you go up some stairs ( quite steep but there is a rail) to the bedroom on the mezzanine level. Really comfy bed!
We ordered what we wanted for breakfast the next day and gave a time, and it arrived spot on time, delivered to our door. I’d asked if possible for gluten free toast and there it was in the tray!
Such a lovely place to stay. About 10 mins walk into the centre, quiet, warm and run by lovely people 😊

Hotel is in a lovely old building and room had lots of character. Breakfast was nice and staff were very good. Would give it 5/5 but we didnt have a proper shower in our room and tv dudnt work properly. Which was a tad disappointing for a purported 4* hotel.
4.7
Lovely Stay beautiful room staff amazing will definitely return thank you and a lovely breakfast served in our room
4.7
Great location within 10 minutes walk of anywhere within the centre of the town and all attractions / restaurants. On site parking.
The hotel has great character - our room dated from 1410 - and clean & well presented.
Full breakfast - good menu, food excellent. Still provided in the room due to COVID restrictions but table & chairs in the room, so worked well.
4.7
Lovely building true to character and description. Stayed for 1 night and could not have been looked after better. Room clean and comfortable! Would certainly stay again!
4.7
Utterly clean, wonderful staff and a great breakfast delivered to room because ofCovid restrictions.
4.7
It was very clean and tidy.

Perfect solution to a much-needed break. Our very comfortable, peaceful, suite had all the amenities for which one could wish. Reception, service and breakfasts spot on. Conveniently located for the centre of Bury. We will return.

We both enjoyed the Room , staff were great. Lovely Breakfasts
4.7
Lovely welcoming hotel.
4.7
Like the actual property and the owners were very nice people. Breakfast was excellent and a lovely outside arena with comfortable chairs to sit and have a drink. Nothing really to dislike.
4.7
The property and staff were exceptional - - Our only issue was we left too soon - - we will book again in the future.
4.7
We had the little cottage at this hotel and it was perfect for me and my partner and our 6 week old baby. Stayed here for a wedding over a weekend and the service from the staff was exceptional and really thoughtful. We had our own travel cot/pram as they don’t have those - I’d say that would be the only feedback. Recommend any small young family to use the cottage Annex facilities.

Lovely stay

The hotel looked like a small picturesque cottage as we approached from the town centre (just a few minutes walk) but inside it was very spacious. Our room was in keeping with the decor of the hotel, clean and quaint. The staff were very friendly, especially who I think was the owner who was a really nice guy.
Great choice on the menu for breakfast.
We would stay here again with out a second thought

I had paid for and booked through Expedia a superior room with kings size bed and bath. I got done of this. Apparently, rooms were under repair there was dirt and dust going upstairs, the bedside lamp did not work and I paid over £ 20 more in any event for the room I should have had as it was advertised at £ 117 and I paid somewhere in the region of £ 137. The room I got was not what was confirmed to me by Expedia. It was a special, or should I say, meant to be a special night for my wife, I was gutted. I need to hear from Expedia.........

Had a wonderful night at the Abbey with my mother and sister. We all had our own rooms which where spotless, and very comfortable.
The hotel and rooms are done up to a very high standard. Beds and pillows very comfortable.
Breakfast in the morning was great. Everything you fancy was on the breakfast menu.
About a 10min walk into the centre of Bury.
Parking on site.
