The hotel had only three guests when I was there. I was welcomed with hot tea and a chat outside at a table by the pool. He gave me a map and marked eating and shopping locations. The two cats are beautiful :) I was able to have my laundry washed, and got the included breakfast on one morning. Google maps works fine with this hotel's location. My tours were able to pick me up at the medina's gate called "Bab Ziat", which is about 1 block walk. There is a bench there so you can wait for your tour vehicle, and a friendly orange cat. The hotel has a locked door you buz in for. My room #3 had working AC and hot water. The bathroom was all the way up come precarious stairs inside my hotel room, but had a full round tub. Everything worked fine, but be careful walking up those stairs in the middle of the night! There are lights and hand rails. The Wifi worked fine. The building is beautiful and the courtyard is a fine place to sit after a long day's tour.

This was the best hotel I recall ever staying. It's a riad, not really a hotel. It's an Arab version of a Spanish villa, with a beautiful courtyard and garden inside the property. There are only 6 rooms, and each of them is flawlessly well maintained. The staff is also small but everybody consistently interacts with you. Monique, the owner, is a welcoming French lady who welcomes you like no other place. The place went through extensive renovation a while ago but maintenance is so good that it still looks new. It has heat pumps and AC, an amazing breakfast, and a fantastic rooftop with a great 360-degree view. Location-wise, it is right in the medina, but literally 150 m from one of the Babs (external gates). This place is highly recommendable.

Staying at Riad Norma was a wonder experience. Monique the owner was very kind; gave us great local information and made us extremely welcome. The cleanliness and comfort of the room was impeccable. Riad Norma is in a great location and the pool is a great way to cool off after a hot day exploring. Wine and beer is also available and can be hard to find in other locations. I highly recommend staying at this Riad

So great. Excellent staff who helped with tours, guides, bus tickets and ordering pizza. We felt like princesses in this beautiful riad. We got upgraded to a bigger room for free. Breakfast was yummy and comfortable beds. Good heating in January. Loved it!

This riad is exquisite! You can feel and see the love that was put into it, and it is a real place of comfort and rest. The staff are wonderful - always with a smile and ready to help make your time in Fes fantastic. I highly recommend this location.

Loved everything about this place, Monique, the owner, has a great taste in furniture and interior of the villa. The breakfast was awesome. But what we were most touched by was her kindness and great hospitality. She was so kind to help us find our lost item and even accompanied us to the police. The hotel staffs were all friendly and helpful as well to get reservations or give directions for us. Staying here was definitely made our stay in the city. Highly recommended.

My review could be slightly biased since I'm judging from an international perspective without an understanding of the Moroccan local standards.
Pros : Friendly staff, stunning garden, perfect location in the Medina with easy access to an exit to get a cab.
Cons: Insufficient and out-dated room facilities. In my specific room there was no drainage on the bathroom floor which resulted in me wiping off the water for 5 min every morning after shower. Given the price I paid in a low season, I also expected better room services which turned out to be mediocre.

Extremely welcoming, authentic, and unique. Riad Norma exceeded all of our expectations and was a pleasure to stay at. I would definitely recommend this Riad to family and friends and hope to be back some day.

One of the most beautiful, stunning boutique hotels I have ever stayed in. Gorgeous Riad loving restored to its Imperial Palace era by the owner Monique.
Monique is a treasure along with her staff, welcoming guests like long lost family. She parts solo guests for dinners and outings like extended family meeting for the first time.
Breakfast is fabulous, and although she no longer serves dinner, Monique has a full wine cellar of both French and Moroccan wines which you can buy by the glass or bottle.
Close to Bab (gate) Ziat it is easy to come and go by taxi without getting lost in the denser parts of the Medina.
My highest recommendation!

Really loved talking to Monique, who is the owner and manager of the riad.
The room itself was really small, and the beds were a tad bit uncomfortable. I'd recommend not booking the deluxe room - go for something bigger.
The breakfast was decent and the riad was generally well-located (blue gate was around a 15-minute walk)
The riad was completely empty which was nice. Given that all the rooms were empty, it would've been nice if we were offered an upgrade to a larger room.

Riad Norma was every bit as good as the reviews we had read. Monique has restored the building with flair and sensitivity to become a really beautiful and tastefully furnished raid. She is an attentive host. looking after all her guests needs. Her music choices are diverse and really add to the ambiance. The food, in particular the dinner was delicious. Thank you for a brilliant stay.

A wonderful & authentic hotel that feels like home. It is one of the most beautiful hotels I have ever stayed in. The attention to details is beyond imagination. I recommend this small, boutique hotel to those that wish to visit this beautiful and historic city

This place was so charming, the owner, Monique, is French. She is very nice as well as the personnel, good and hardworking people. The decoration, atmospher, makes you feel you are in a palace. If you do not want to stay right in the Medina I recommend this place it I should by the Ziat neighborhood which is still inside of the Medina, but about 10-15 min walk from the Blue gate and souks. The only down side is the laundry service is by hand and sundrie. Because of this our clothes smelled musky, but ultimately we are in Morocco, so plan to do your laundry somewhere else by machine if you have the chance. Overall it was a beautiful experience for our honeymoon.

Gorgeous architecture and decor. A beautiful and peaceful refuge on a quiet street just steps away from the lively center of the ancient Fes medina. The dinners we had here were the best we had in Morocco. The owner, a French woman who lovingly restored the building, is attentive and helpful, as were all of the members of her staff. Wonderful music played in the common areas throughout our stay, and we wished we had more time just to relax and soak in the beauty of the place.
