The hotel room was cozy but the rating dropped by one star because it has no stand to put my case. the food was nice and there is plenty of car parking

This was the second time I'd stayed at this hotel and both stays have been enough for me to decide never to stay there again. This trip I was given the family room which has no shower and had no heating. We were advised about the heating but promised a plug in heater. This never materialised. The layout of the room was bizarre. Just a bath in the middle of the room but the room was so bitterly cold that you couldn't even bear to undress to get in the bath.
Each time I've stayed here something seems to go wrong so in spite of the lovely setting and the nice staff, it just isn't worth it. The family room was an absolutely crazy price for a room with no heating.
I work in the area regularly but will be finding somewhere else to stay.

Excellent choice for accommodation, lovely friendly staff, great food and service. Rooms clean a great condition. Highly recommended

We have stayed at Healing Manor several times whilst visiting friends close by.
We prefer the courtyard rooms rather than inside the hotel as they are lovely.
Beautiful big bathroom, comfy bed , clean and everything you need for a comfortable stay.
We will be back
4.3
Really good room and staff brilliant especially ringing after we had left to say we had left daughters teddy 🙈. Only issue why not excellent all round was the room had a bath rather than a shower
4.3
A really lovely place in a great location with superb food and very friendly staff. Will come again, which will be our third time. 😃

Very nice hotel & friendly staff

We travel up from Cambridge to visit with our son based in Tokyo and enjoy the country feel and peaceful restover before traveling on. Good wifi to work with makes our quick stay very worthwhile.

Great location for a quiet getaway loved the room 107 recommend it to anyone lovely kept lawns great venue .

Excellent as always, great room, great food, great staff

Last minute booking as Hotels.com had double booked me and was stranded after driving 2 hours to get to original booking.
Healing Manor is a character building which has all that you need with a restaurant, bar area and nice garden area...i do question the '36 Acre' manicured gardens statement as this is limited to outside the restaurant area unless clambering around the overgrown areas by the pond area is part of this.
Generally a very good stay, unfortunately there was a wedding booked in with the only room available was behind the reception/function with some sound ingress of music, this was tolerable given the lateness of booking on the day.

Swan - novel. Swan poo - disgusting. Bin/laundry rote past the door. Room thick in duct minging, fan, extractor, tv rear,
Shower had obvious screw missing and bracket loose, lamp in corner a joke. Needs scrapping.
Breakfast was very good - needed to be for the price too!

Staff were very helpful and friendly. Lovely place and clean steve

Comfy quiet room, lovely grounds, nice bar, fantastic food, great service. Thank you.

Good but over-priced

Lovely hotel, very noisy especially on bin day (Tuesday morning), rooms are spacious and clean. Within easy travelling distance from town, have electric charge points and plenty of parking.
4.3
Room was dingy outdated and not very clean, carpet stained and sink cracked.Very noisy due to a stag and hen party, if it wasn't for the brilliant staff in the restaurant, we would have walked out. Noise, including abusive language carried on until the early hours of the morning. Breakfast was cold and staff didn't know how to work the coffee machine. Very disappointing visit. Apart from the evening meal which we enjoyed as much as we could with the noise and bad language

Very disappointed. Our room was filthy, full of dust . The carpets had mess
all over it and definitely not seen a hoover , in a long time . Both my sister and I suffer with our breathing problems . We had to have it cleaned by the lovely lady , that was on reception. No other room available. This should never have happened. We stayed in the main house and the carpets all over, definitely not seen a hoover in a long time too .
The fire alarm went off at 4am in the morning. It was like a carry movie . People were crying , getting nasty and the piercing sound of the fire alarm was terrible. The night porter had No idea how to silence it. It went on for over an hour .
Thank god it wasn’t a real fire . I dread to think of the chaos. It would of caused .
A lot of our family live in Healing village and we have stayed a lot in Healing manor for all different events. This isn’t the first time we have been disappointed with the cleanliness of the main house. We were given 20% discount but that’s nothing to what we paid . We traveled up from Devon for a lovely weekend away to a very special family event in the village and it was dampened , by the whole stay . Very disappointed customer 😢

Stunning grounds, and well presented rooms. However no air conditioning and small windows meant the room was extremely hot!
4.3
The room was a good size but as soon as we opened the door there was a horrible damp smell and disgusting old furniture that was in a poor state and the entrance was covered in spiders flies etc
4.3
I booked a junior suite which was lovely. Unfortunately the room was stifling and the outside temperature was only 20 degrees. There were no windows, only two glass doors which I had open while I was inside, but obviously not while I slept.
Two fans were provided but I really struggled to sleep.
The room would be uninhabitable if it was 25+ outside.
Other than this everything was great.
Food in the pub and whistle was excellent, but a little pricey. £11.50 for desserts?

If your in the Grimsby area this is the place to stay, its beautiful the staff are amazing and the buffet breakfast was perfect. Lovely rooms around a courtyard such a relaxing stay. We have booked to stay again already.
4.3
Rooms getting basic clean only (dirt behind/round the back of things, many visitors hair trailing down from plugs if lifted out etc).
Organisation variable, seemed to be run by not experienced hoteliers
4.3
Everything was excellent apart from there was no hand pull ale I was advised that Docks Beer would be on and it wasn't for my husbands birthday.
4.3
The best thing about this place is the staff - very very friendly and helpful. The hotel is a little tired and if you have a room next to the court yard then it can be noisy late at night and early in the morning. I would stay here again but request a quieter room (round the side or back) They have free EV charging, just plug and play and more than ample parking. The food in the Pig & Whistle was excellent although a little on the expensive side. Breakfast was spot on, many choices and high quality. Overall and 8.5 out of 10 - Once again thanks to the staff for making us welcome.
4.3
An excellent hotel well worth a visit if visiting the area

Great room and friendly staff. Very dog friendly with bowls in the room and the offer of dog treats. Lovely food with a lot of choice at breakfast (including gluten free)
4.3
Great stay for the Diana Ross tribute night. Beautiful room (1856) and the bottle of Prosecco was a lovely touch. Staff on reception were brilliant and the bar staff at the event on the evening were superb.
Breakfast was a little chaotic as it was busy but other than that, wry enjoyable evening and stay
4.3
It was beautiful

On my first nights stay here I was in a junior suite as that was the only room available that night, this room was fantastic quality with a four poster bed and a luxurious bathroom. The second night I was in a Executive double room which was also very nice and finished to a high standard.
The rooms are nice here but the food from the restaurant is amazing and worth going for this alone. Both breakfast and evening meals were outstanding and very good value.
4.3
Check in was easy. Large car park. Room was in the main building. Clean with a great shower. Had to ask for complimentary shampoos ect as there were none in the room. The next day shampoos were replenished but not complimentary water. Meal in the Pig and Whistle was okay there was a leaflet on our table saying you got a free drink with your fish and chips on a Friday. As it was a Friday I checked with the waiter, when we got our bill at which he promptly ripped up the leaflet and told that the promotion had finished. All other staff were very friendly and the grounds are pleasant. We had a good nights sleep. All in all good but could be improved.
4.3
Hotel was beautiful , views stunning , room very large , roll top bath but when we opened our fridge there was a plate of mouldy food (obviously been there some time ) took it to reception nobody seemed bothered which i was quite shocked at as surely cleanliness would be a priority . We had 2 young children with us !

LOVELY STAFF, GREAT ROOMS ALL DIFFERENT

We had a single night stay in a suite along with dinner and breakfast. Food was excellent on both occasions and the room was very large with a great king sized bed. Only faults we could see were that the carpets outside the room needed replacing and some of the furniture in the room was passing beyond the shabby chic look. Would stay again especially for the food.
4.3
I stayed over or my sons wedding which was held at the Manor the service, food and organisation was superb I stayed overnight in room 1856 which was very large and comfortable it had everything I needed my only negative comment would be that the Bathroom was very dark and I could not see clearly in the Bathroom mirror to apply any makeup other than that great stay.
4.3
The room was not comfortable. No desk and the seating was poor. Mattress very thin too - just all feels really old!
Breakfast was delicious and service good and friendly.
The steak was tough on the evening meal but service good.
The Wi-Fi was very poor throughout my stay,
