About this house rental
Located in Sydney's most exclusive getaway destination, Palm Beach, this home matches quaint beachside charm with luxurious comfort. It’s got the bones of an old-school beach house: white walls, chic blue and white furnishings, a lush subtropical backyard and loads of natural light.
But The Tropic takes things to another level. Its enormous indoor/outdoor living area boasts a soaring vaulted ceiling with windows filled with sunlight and native foliage. The back deck is huge, with enough space to kick back and completely zone out. Three bathrooms and four sunny bedrooms offer loads of flexibility, including two rooms with en-suites and a twin room with trundle beds perfect for kids (or unexpected overnight guests). Air-conditioning makes it easy to keep things cool on hot summer days, but it’s easy to throw the full length doors open and let in the sea breeze.
The position is ideal as well: steps from not one, but two beaches, with parks and nature all around. Yet despite the seclusion, modern conveniences aren’t very far away: there’s a great café for morning flat whites at the end of the street, and Sydney itself is only an hour away.
We should also mention: if you have a boat this is the place to bring it. The Palm Beach anchorage is just around the corner. There’s a garage and plenty of on-street parking for land-based transportation too.
What the owner loves:
This property is the perfect place to relax and entertain with family and friends. The BBQ area is a compact outdoor kitchen in its own right, with running water and bench space. The indoor kitchen, meanwhile, includes a huge marble island, European appliances and a five-burner stove. Whether it’s a family dinner on sundowners on the lawn, The Tropic is sure to impress.
What we love:
While it’s still in the exclusive enclave of Palm Beach, this property is on the quieter, Pittwater-facing side of the peninsula. That means easy access for parking and a slightly quieter vibe. If privacy and peace and quiet are your thing, then the enclosed lawn, private pool and bushy surrounds will more than meet your expectations.
What the stylish traveller loves:
It’s simply gorgeous. Architecturally designed to admit the maximum of sunlight and salty breezes while retaining that private feel, this home is one of the best-looking beach houses we’ve seen. Everything here adds to the sense of classic luxury, from the rattan furniture to the wainscotting and white shutters. Don’t settle for less.
Bedding configuration:
Bedroom One - located on the top level and has a King bed.
Bedroom Two - located on the top level and has a Queen bed.
Bedroom Three located on the top level and has Twin King singles.
Bedroom Four - located on the bottom level and has a Queen bed.
