This hotel is a dream. With a darling aesthetic and plenty of nooks on the property, it was the perfect reprise from the busier historic center. Breakfast was exceptional, and the room was very comfortable. Highly recommend.

I’ll start by saying i had a private shared transfer booked to Paraty that never picked me up or answered so i ended up taking the regular bus which was super convenient, inexpensive and comfy (and most likely a much better experience than what i initially had booked). I had booked the transfer super early so that i can have a full day in Paraty but god had other plans for me. I must say if i hadn’t had the pre booked reservation at this property i would have probably canceled my trip to Paraty but luckily everything worked out. I arrived at the property by the evening and was greeted with a warm welcome by Renata, such a lovely person(just like everyone on this property). The space is beautiful and so peaceful, made me disconnect and really take time to myself. I had an economy double room which was lovely, cozy and sooo comfy. The breakfast and snacks for coffee/tea time was amazing, everything was soo delicious. Renata and Camille both helped me book excursions and answered any questions i had throughout my stay. They have a space to hold your luggage after checkout so that you can go about your day on the town, they also have a bathroom where you can freshen up when you are ready to leave. I initially booked for two nights and ended up extending one more night. I hope to one day revisit this place, everyone is just soo nice 🥹❤️

The perfect, quiet place for a few days in Paraty. The rooms are maintained to a high standard and very clean. The staff are amazing as well and very helpful. Breakfast is simple but well presented and good.

It was a pity that we only stayed one night. The staff was very welcoming and friendly, the room was clean, breakfast and tea time were perfect. The hotel is located very good and just 3 minutes away from the old town of Paraty. We would definitely come back.

Perfect location! Intimate small hotel with gorgeous property. Rooms were incredibly clean and smelt like a resort spa after each cleaning. By far the best experience I’ve ever had- the staff go out of their way to ensure you have anything you need. They found us local drivers late night, went and bought us bandages from the pharmacy, organized 2 massage therapist to come to our room for a couples massage, the breakfast is by far the best I’ve ever had at a hotel; fresh bread, eggs cooked to order, multiple tapioca options. I can’t say enough good things about this place!!! We will definitely be back again and again.

There is no doubt why this location is so highly rated. The place is beautiful, well located close to city center, but my highest review is of the service and employees. They treat you like family and the utmost attentive staff. I had a request to surprise my wife with a message of rose petals in the bed and they did an amazing job! I think of anything I will miss most of this hotel is the staff! Everything else was excellent as well!

The hotel is very beautiful with many small touches that make it very cosy and cute. The location is amazing, very close to the centre but far enough to avoid noise. The breakfast was great too. And finally the staff are super helpful, they let us shower in a new room much later after we checked out! Highly recommend.

The room was great. The people working there were amazing. They were so helpful and sweet. Would definitely use them again. I don't know how useable the pool is. It's small and the location is odd, but we weren't looking to use the pool anyway. The only thing we didn't love was that the second bed in our room was very, very hard. The main bed was very comfortable, though. Everything else was great. We loved our stay and would absolutely stay there again. The location is a close walk to the historic area. The hotel seems like you're in your own little oasis. Lovely, personally cooked breakfast. Friendly staff.

what a lovely hotel to stay in family run ambience around the place big rooms , cleaned to perfection on daily basis wifi not so good although better reception was received outside the room in the seating area attached to the rooms buffet breakfast was lovely nice location close to historical part of Paraty hotel staff ever so nice, helpful & friendly with everyone speaking perfect english will return to the hotel if i get the chance to visit Paraty again

Beautiful little hotel and the host Paulo was very helpful and friendly, offering lots of advice for things to do in Paratay and help with booking tours. The rooms are modern and clean and the gardens are beautiful and very peaceful. The breakfast was nice and varied with pastries, lots of fresh fruit and eggs or omelettes cooked to order. Tea and cake in the afternoons was a lovely little touch after a day out exploring!

Carpe Diem is a beautiful pousada with relaxing outdoor space and a delicious breakfast. The staff members Camille and Paulinho were especially warm and friendly. They provided beach, sightseeing, transportation, and food recommendations, and always took the time to make sure we were enjoying our stay in Paraty - even when we ran into one of them walking through town.

Stunning charming place beautifully decorated. Absolutely perfect place, really close to historic city centre but located peacefully on a lovely lane surrounded by Atlantic forest. Staff is very professional but friendly and couldn’t do more to make you feel at home and have the best experience in Paraty, will definitely be back and enthusiastically recommend.

Honestly, all the good reviews are on point for this beautiful, well-located Pousada. It’s idyllic, a small oasis set against the verdant backdrop of Paraty. It’s a short walk to the colonial town and the nearby beaches and easily accessible to everything you need during your stay. The friendly, helpful inn owner speaks at least five languages (seriously) and knows the town and surrounding areas in and out. The rooms are tastefully decorated and well-sized, with all the necessary amenities. There is a lovely breakfast as well as afternoon snacks every day; they also can make some local cocktails for order! Perfect, perfect spot for your stay in Paraty.
