It was wonderful and the breakfast was spectacular! I thoroughly enjoyed this adorable boutique hotel and would recommend!

Staying here was absolutely a treat; so much so I booked it again on our last night before we leave Lisbon.
We really enjoyed the spa and welcome drink and appetizers. All the staff was friendly and Allan was especially accommodating during our time. We only wish the spa was open later (closes at 20:00 hr).

This is a must stay if you’re visiting Lisbon. The rooms are so charming, the staff welcoming, and the amenities plentiful. It is in a perfect location, walkable to most everything, including a metro, lovely cafes, the waterfront, and other desired sites. Our favorite perk besides the exquisite breakfast spread is the wine cave! We have stayed here twice and we will be back!

The atmosphere. The excellent food.

This property was beautiful, charming, and paired with an amazing group of staff members. They were warm and welcoming despite me not knowing their native language. This hotel was in the perfect spot with everything being a walk away. When I return to Lisbon, I will be staying here again and hopefully be able to speak their language properly!

Staff was phenomenal here. Beautiful property. Picked smaller room and we were a bit cramped, the complimentary wine cellar and self serve was a huge attraction for us at end of day. We enjoyed sitting on courtyard with a glass of their wine. Bring your hiking shoes to safely walk the hills. This place was amazing.

Absolute gem of a hotel. The breakfast was amazing and no details missed on service. There is a wonderful patio area to enjoy a glass of wine in the evening and a lovely piano player in the morning. Location is spot on. Definitely will be back.

Absolutely beautiful hotel. The hospitality from the staff was top notch. The room was comfortable. The rooms make you feel like you stepped into the Bridgerton series, only in Poland. Daily Port Wine and cheese tastings, in addition to the cherry liquor and pastries they have out for snack. Large variety of breakfast options, and everything is homemade. Would highly recommend.

Beyond unique and exudes old world charm. The staff are fantastic and made our honeymoon stay that much more special. 1000 percent recommended.

I had a wonderful three-night stay at Palácio das Especiarias! The property has a beautiful, old-world ambiance but with modern upgrades.
My experience started with an airport pick-up the hotel arranged (30 euros); my driver, Bruno, was a delight and so helpful. Check-in was a breeze, and the staff was welcoming. My room was one of the smaller rooms, but it was beautifully appointed. I was right off the street, but I didn't hear anything—those windows are soundproof! I had a slight issue with the shower, but it was addressed quickly the following day.
There are many common spaces within the hotel; I especially liked the garden outback, where I enjoyed a glass of the hotel's wine (there are three varieties, and all are tasty). The breakfast spread was bigger than I imagined and a great way to start the day.
My favorite part of the hotel was its location. It felt very central, so walking to all the different neighborhoods was easy! There were also a couple of streetcar stops just around the corner. It was very hot while I was there, so I was able to explore and then pop back to the hotel for a break before heading out to enjoy Lisbon again!
Obrigada, Palácio das Especiarias, for providing a fantastic home base during my first visit to your amazing city! I can't wait to come back.

Overall all good.

Absolutely loved my stay. Great staff, gorgeous rooms, complimentary spa, a beautiful free breakfast with so many options, walkable to the water shopping and great restaurants. My only complaint was the bath water never ran hot. But loved everything else. I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere better if I were to return to Lisbon.

Amazing service! Allan was who greeted us and was very kind and attentive. The same goes for the dining staff and the front door gentlemen who helped us with our bags. The hotel itself is gorgeous not to mention the breakfast with live music.
The rooms were clean and comfortable.
Thank you for a great first Portugal impression on our honeymoon!

Excellent place to stay would highly recommend nothing was too much. Friendly staff and beautiful property.

Just a great hotel in central Lisbon. The hotel deserves the "Palacio" in its name. It looks and works like a palace. If we go back to Lisbon for another vacation we will be sure to use this hotel

Beautiful boutique hotel in a great area for walking to cafes and restaurants. The breakfast staff are very nice and helpful.
4.6
The hotel is like walking into Lisbon's past. The stay includes extras you don't usually find: cheese and wine in the afternoon, a gourmet breakfast, local liquor out for the drinking and more. You can arrange a ride to the airport through the hotel at a very reasonable price. All staff were friendly and always willing to help. language was not a problem. The location is great. Lisbon's hills not so much.
4.6
Our stay here was exceptional! The staff were welcoming, warm, and had excellent recommendations for local food and activities. The hotel was unique and managed to provide peace, comfort and luxury, all while nestled in a vibrant area with easy access to shopping, restaurants and transportation. It was amazing to step off of the street into this hotel and explore all of the special little areas, including the wine cellar and lovely courtyard, where we spent our evening enjoying the complimentary wine and cheese board. The amenities were top-notch. Breakfast was incredible; the food was fantastic, and to have live musicians perform a mix of contemporary and classic Fado music while we dined was unlike anything we have experienced at a hotel before. We will certainly stay here again, and will recommend this hotel to all of our family and friends traveling to Lisbon. We can’t wait to go back!

The room was a little small and could have had more outlets (obviously from being such an old building). However, the staff and amenities were definitely the star of this establishment. The staff were very friendly and helpful and wore adorable outfits. We arrived early and left late and were allowed to wait in the “living room” area upstairs and help ourselves to tea/snacks. The included continental breakfast was very nice and had quite a wide array of options and was accompanied by live music. In the downstairs cellar area, you could help yourself to wine and a cheese/bread/olive platter. We didn’t use the gym, but it looked sufficient. The massages cost extra which we didn’t book, however we did book a free slot to use their infrared sauna. We were the only ones down there and could freely use the sauna/showers/whirlpool and were served sparkling wine/water. Location was also pretty convenient. Would definitely stay again if in Lisbon.

No window in the room ! Is this even legal?

We had a 5 star stay here for almost a week. It was lovely - from the complimentary wine tasting to the breakfast. The addition of talented pianists, violinists and singers each morning was such a treat and all the staff are incredibly helpful and so friendly, especially Diogo! What a gorgeous stay. Thank you

The entire staff was amazing
4.6
The hotel room was very clean and the breakfast vas very good. And this is the extent of positive things about this hotel. Check in was extremely slow. Only one person working at the reception desk paying no attention to the guests. Called reception several times and no one answered the call. When they finally answered they sent wrong items to the room only after I went to the reception in person complaining about the wait. Manager extremely rude, unapologetic and providing excuses instead of solutions.

What a surprisingly unique and memorable place to stay. Would highly recommend

My stay here was the high point of my fabulous two week trip through Portugal. Every single detail was well thought out and absolutely perfect. I want to sell my house and live there forever. From the leisurely, luxurious breakfast to the cheese, olives and wine at the end of the day, nothing was overlooked. However long you’re planning to stay, double it. You won’t regret it!

I’ve traveled quite extensively. This is my new favorite hotel ever. Beautiful hotel. Over the top staff and service. Special shout out to Carla and Bruno ( note to management- be sure to take care of those two - they are remarkable ambassadors)
Even if you don’t stay here, enjoy the fado show and dinner, it was phenomenal.

Unique, old world charm with a fabulous staff.
