We were so excited to find this lovely Vineyard Mansion to stay in for our night of traveling. We even got to use the kitchen to make a taste breakfast.

We stayed I the Lincoln room one night. Enjoyed using the billiards table downstairs.

Odd set-up with no staff/host on site at all. You can prepare your own breakfast/coffee from what food is in the cupboards and fridge. Some other guests did this which meant we couldn't use the cooker.
The decor is faux Victorian with a slight spooky vibe. You are very much left to your own devices with shared facilities.

Like stepping back in time. We enjoyed our time in the carriage house. Exceptional value, close to downtown St. Joe.

This was such a beautiful place! It was so quiet, we didn't hear any other guests at all. The bed was so comfortable!
4.5
Beautiful inside. Neighborhood not the best. Eating the hosts food just didnt feel right. I will stick to a more traditional bed and breakfast.
4.5
More like an Air B&B. No one to greet you.
Breakfast food supplied, but on your own to make, not served. No TV in room.
4.5
Very nice room and building. Was not comfortable making breakfast in an unknown kitchen so opted not to eat there.

There’s a very friendly cat in the house. My wife has a slight allergy to them but it wasn’t really an issue since we only stayed one night.
The Crown room restroom is down the hall and the shower/bathtub seems original. That’s nice but it’s a little hard to access after recent hip surgery.

The privacy

The crumbling steps at the entrance were not very welcoming. Initial impression is the house needs more upkeep. Inside furniture was amazing, but there was just too much of everything and the interior was very dark. I have stayed at Victorian B&B’s before and loved it. But this was more like a museum than a home. Also did not like having to make my own breakfast, plus I washed not only the dishes we used but some that were in the sink already, unwashed. On the positive side, the bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed soaking in the claw foot tub.

Wish I would have known there were so many stairs.

Very interesting old home. We really enjoyed it. Kitchen very well stocked for breakfast.

I loved staying here but my husband did not like the area with safety….parking on the street was a problem. Home was beautiful and comfortable. Quiet retreat if you want to relax and enjoy no electronics!
4.5
Just gorgeous inside and out! Very, very comfortable. The owner has dinner an incredible job decorating the interior to make it look and feel authentic. Extremely well-stocked kitchen with many breakfast options. Will definitely stay here if we're ever passing through again.

Amazing place!

Nice place. Very convenient to the Pony Express Museum.

This property was a rehabilitated building from, apparently, the early 1900s. The best part was the authenticity of the restoration. In addition, the property was spacious and had two bedrooms, one with a king bed and the other with a queen bed. There was an accommodating living room, a nice sitting room, a Butler’s pantry, and an adequate kitchen area. The property contained no dining nearby, but had a usable kitchen. There was no off street parking. The area around the property was itself in need of rehabilitation. The area appears to be a bit rundown . All in all, we had a good sleep and enjoyed the historic nature of the property. We would recommend staying there if you want to stay at a well restored historic building.

Beautiful property. Spotless inside, gorgeous grounds, ample street parking. Host was very responsive with last minute communications. Our unit was cleverly laid out and we were very comfortable. Will definitely come back for a longer stay.

A great experience of Victorian mansion and the unique furnishings and features. Made use of the billiards table and never missed the TV.

My stay was comfortable. The Vineyard Mansion is beautiful, and I particularly enjoyed the warmth of having the family pets around. My only concern is with Hotels.com, which has failed to issue me a refund for the one day I reduced my reservation, and which makes it impossible to speak to anyone about it. This speaks poorly for Hotels.com and reflects poorly on my overall experience.

Nice place to stay! Roomy and your own space!

3 night stay was lovely. The carriage house had all the amenities you'd expect plus more. The little extras in the pantry, (spices, etc), were so thoughtful and very appreciated.
4.5
Beautiful house and the kitchen was great! Room was very comfortable. Unfortunately the weather was a bit cold, blustery and rainy, but we enjoyed our stay inside.
4.5
It was very clean and peaceful. While breakfast food and drinks are provided, they aren’t cooked for you. You are doing all the work. Very nice kitty to pet is provided.

We loved it!! There are so many unique homes in St Joesph! This Bed&Breakfast goes above and beyond to make their guests feel at home. Fully stocked kitchen, to pool table and more...The on-site hosts are very nice. I had accidentally lock myself out of my room and "Bruce" was over right away to help me get back in my room and get my keys. This 5 room mansion (some rooms over 500 sq ft w/bathroom) will NOT disappoint!
4.5
Its set in the older historical district of St. Joe so its very quiet. The owner is very hospital, and nice.Very clean definitely worth the money. I about lived the place and took lots of pictures theres so much to look at.
4.5
Beautiful home! It was spacious and the furnishings were perfect for the period of the home. The host made us feel right at home.

I love the mansion and the inn keeper was so sweet. The place is very clean and beautiful. I think you should make breakfast. If that is an issue have a dishwasher. We have a couple handicaps so the stair very beautiful just were a lot for us. The pictures and decor very nice.
4.5
Uncomfortable bed- cat in the house - dark neighborhood- smoke alarm chirping as soon as I went to bed- the gentleman fixed it in about an hour.
I paid more for a B&B than I should have- a hotel would have been a better option
4.5
Very cozy and well stocked in a quiet peaceful neighborhood

We really liked the carriage house, it was clean, quiet, well-stocked, and has lots of charm. It was like staying in a 2-bedroom apartment!
4.5
Was homey atmosphere. If you book the Crown Room the bathroom facilities are not in room so come prepared to walk down a small hallway. Advertised as pay at property...this means the property will take your payment . Expedia will not charge your card immediately but the property will.. overall had a nice visit and was a very comfortable stay. WI-FI Conection was not consisten. Luckily I was there for pleasure and not work.

Loved antique furnitures and the world done on the property

I enjoyed the atmosphere of the older home and beautiful furnishings. The owner is warm and friendly and very welcoming. My time in this lovely home was relaxing and really elevated my mood.

I was looking for a quiet place to get an early nights sleep for an extra early start to my business day in the St Joeseph area. This was definately the perfect choice. Available snacks and a friendly host as well as a house cat helped make it feel like a home away frpm home. An interesting history and beautiful furnishings made it even better. After arriving only about 45 min before I hoped to call it a night, I was even able to get in a quick game of pool. Breakfast is at your own leisure anytime after 5 a.m. which was perfect for mey schedule. They do not, however cook you bteakfast, you are free to cook whatever you want from the frig.

We enjoyed this beautiful historic home. The only negative was the breakfast. We were allowed to make our own breakfast, but it felt weird using someone else's cookware and rummaging through a community fridge, so we opted to go to Perkins for breakfast. Maybe individual bottles of milk and juice would have been better, but I don't know that the guy before me didn't drink directly out of the jug of milk and put it back on the shelf! My husband worked in the restaurant biz for 50 years and couldn't imagine this would be acceptable to the health department. The room itself was very nice. No decent restaurants nearby that we could find. Neighborhood to the north was a little sketchy. We did enjoy the walking tour of historic homes in the neighborhood. We would definitely stay here again.

Nice experience!

This was a wonderful experience. I had returned to St. Joseph for a high school reunion and thoroughly enjoyed the Vineyard B&B - it is a gem. The DIY breakfast options were a brilliant idea.

Enjoyed our stay there. Other guests were considerate.
