🍷5-minute walk to Historic Clarkdale, 8 mins to OldTown Cottonwood, 8 mins to Jerome, and 30 mins to Sedona.3-bedroom, 2-bathroom 1200 sq ft historic cottage from the 1930s. It features a fully equipped chef's kitchen with a gas range and copper sink. The living room is artistically designed, with huge windows offering great views. There's a sunny private back patio with a gas grill and large outdoor dining area, along with comfortable seating. Enjoy the spectacular views of Mingus Mountain and famous high desert starry night skies from the peaceful front porch. The cottage has 1G-WiFi and a quiet workspace. The master bedroom has a tuft and needle mattress with a custom-made king bed and private bathroom, complete with a 1930s cast iron bathtub and original pink tiles. The second bedroom has a luxurious tuft and needle queen bed, a desk, and wraparound windows. Please note that you need to walk through the kids' bedroom to access the second bedroom. The cheerful kids' bedroom has a bunk bed with a trundle, along with books, board games, and simple toys. There's also a newly constructed second bathroom off of the laundry area with a shower and skylight. There are two off-street parking spaces accessible from the alley, with a 220v EV charging outlet. Although the cottage has been fully renovated, it's almost 100 years old, so you can expect some squeaky floors, sticky doors, and an uncommon layout, all with its original charm and character. The property is located across from a vibrant desert wash in a small town, so it's very common to see javelina, coyotes, skunks, raccoons, quail, various birds, as well as bees, butterflies, spiders, snakes, and many other creatures on our street or in our yard.

We enjoyed our stay here. No issues, very comfortable. The back yard and game room were very nice. Also, this is a perfect location situated less than 10 minutes from both cottonwood and Jerome. Highly recommended

Our recent stay at the Charming Historic Remodel surpassed all our expectations. Nestled amidst picturesque surroundings, this lovingly restored home provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway.
Upon stepping into the property, we were immediately struck by its immaculate cleanliness and inviting ambiance. The attention to detail was evident in every corner, from the tastefully decorated interiors to the well-organized layout. It truly felt like a home away from home.
The kitchen was a boasting a comprehensive array of utensils and amenities. Additionally, the collection of books for kids was a delightful surprise, providing endless entertainment for our little ones. Overall, our experience at the Charming Historic Remodel was nothing short of exceptional, and we can't wait to return for another memorable stay.

I knew from the pictures that this is exactly what we were looking for — not one of those rental flips where everything is tacked-on decor, but a cozy cottage with warmth, character, and care. Everything from the beautiful wood slab counter and copper accents to the local guide binder, from the super clean and comfy beds to the intuitive organization and helpful labels. We picked up goods for grilling at the grocery in town, beer from the local brewery, and had a great night in before our ride on the railroad the next day. Host was very responsive to any of our questions! Would 10/10 recommend or stay again.

My husband and I and 3 adult children and one teenager were coming to the Cottonwood/Jerome area to visit friends and do some sightseeing. The location is wonderful, the little town of Clarkdale is quaint and quiet and is right between Cottonwood and Jerome (only a few minutes to either) and also not far from Sedona. Our host, Celestina was very helpful and the communication was great. We all fell in love with the home, it is very thoughtfully appointed with every comfort you could possibly need, beautifully and tastefully decorated with high quality bed linens and towels. If you are looking for a place to stay in this area, I 100% recommend the little quail cottage, you will not be disappointed.

Everyone had a place to sleep, but we were expecting 4 bedrooms. Instead, there were three bedrooms and a game room with a couch sofa. That being said, we enjoyed the house. We had all we needed to eat dinner and enjoy the wines from the surrounding vineyards. The house is cute and comfortable with a great setting area in the backyard. We only stayed one night. But, you could easily say a week.

After a long trip from NYC our family of three was warmly welcomed into Quail Cottage. The house is very spacious with a bright kitchen (well stocked with everything) and an open living room area. All three bedrooms have comfortable beds, and the entire cottage was very clean. The front porch is a perfect place for morning coffee. I did that every single day enjoying the view and the company of the Gambel's quail birds;) The location of the house is also great with an easy drive to Sedona, Jerome and Cottonwood. The Grand Canyon South Rim is an under three hour drive and most definitely doable. Quiet neighborhood with friendly people. This wasn’t our first VRBO rental, but definitely one of my favorites. Highly recommended!

My family and in-laws had a wonderful stay at Quail Cottage. We were in town for a wedding just down the road in Jerome. The rental was perfect for our weekend getaway. It was very clean, well maintained, and had everything we needed. The property manager was quick to make sure we got checked in ok and that we had everything we needed. They even left a few complimentary items for us in the kitchen which was a very nice touch. I would recommend this property in a heartbeat to anyone looking to stay in the area.

We came to Arizona for 5 days of work related training in Jerome. I found the listing for Quail Cottage and it immediately caught my eye. The neighborhood is very quiet. The outdoor patio space is great and makes for a awesome space to relax. Because of the nature of our training, we spent the majority of our days occupied. It was very refreshing to come back at night to a hot shower and enjoying the relaxing space of Quail Cottage. I would highly recommend this place and will definitely look to book again if my work travels bring me back to Jerome.

Quail Cottage Clarkdale was so welcoming and comfortable. It was exactly as described in the listing. The beds were indeed luxurious, with expensive linens and very comfortable pillows and mattresses. In the bathroom, there were plenty of towels and they were softer than any I’ve used. The cottage was really roomy and so well decorated, it looked like a model home. The kitchen was open and spacious and had everything you’d need, and even had a coffee bar complete with fresh coffee beans.
Even though we didn’t have much opportunity to use the game room, it was great with a pool table, giant flat screen tv, refrigerator, Wi-Fi music and sofa sectional. The rear and side patio was comfortable and had everything you’d need. We loved the front porch and enjoyed the sunrise and birdwatching. We actually enjoyed sitting out there many times during the day. (Definitely bring mosquito repellent if spending time outside) The view from this space was so nice without any houses on the opposite side of the street. The cottage was pretty close to the houses on each side but was so private, we couldn’t even see the neighbors at all.
Clarkdale is a quiet little town but just a few minutes to downtown Cottonwood and an easy drive to Jerome and Sedona.
I really can’t say enough nice things about this place. It really was perfect in every way. I would definitely stay there again. The host was very communicative and responsive. This was such a great experience.

The first 2 hours of stay we loved it, and talked as a group about the potential of booking this place again. Then we opened the fridge and were hit with an absolutely putrid smell. There was mold and 4 to 5 inches of standing water left in the bottom of the fridge, which we were left to clean ourselves. Hair and dust were also all over the place. This lead us to believe the place was cleaned poorly, or not even cleaned at all. The kitchen was fully stocked with pots and pans and other kitchen utensils, which made it easy for our group to cook. The shed with the pool table was a very nice touch. Overall, with better cleaning and support from the host I would recommend this place.
