Four seasons of outdoor fun surround you at this peaceful dog- and family-friendly Girdwood cabin, sitting on a forested property with a creek and offering spectacular mountain views right from home. In the winter, you’ll have easy access to Alyeska ski resort, and the warm months offer hiking and biking trails, state and national parks, the nearby Kenai Peninsula, fishing, wildlife spotting, and more.
Start the day out on the deck with some coffee and that spectacular view. When you get hungry, the full, well-equipped kitchen has you covered for meal prep. If you’d rather dine out, choose from one of several local restaurants and cafés. When it’s time to relax at home, you’ll love the hardwood floors, woodstove, and picture windows, all combining to create a cozy cabin vibe. Stream the latest release, use the free WiFi to upload the day’s pics to social media, or play a board game at the window-front table. Younger guests will appreciate the special room with plenty of games and books. Those with remote work will appreciate the dedicated desk area, and the kids will love the lofted sleeping space. End the night as you began the day - back outside on the deck, but this time soaking in the hot tub under a starry sky.

The entrance code would not work. We were trying to get inside in the rain. Contact person did not seem to understand the code wasn't working. After nearly 20 minutes we were finally given a different code that worked. The hot tub did not work. After several calls it was determined a repair was needed, but would not happen till after our stay. The hot tub was part of the reason we rented. The kitchen faucet is about to come out. Microwave hande is about to fall off. Windows could not be closed enough to lock. Yard needs mowing very badly.
Dies have nice view out the front

Rustic cabin feel but needs general maintenance to maintain overall condition.

Hot tub didn’t work, only reason we had booked this place. Carpet was stained in the bedrooms. Comforters were old and could tell they have not been washed between guests. Kitchen sink faucet was about to fall off. Ended up leaving a night early because we’d rather go stay at home where things are actually clean and working right. Total bummer of an anniversary weekend!
I will say this cabin is in a really cool location. Just needs some TLC.

Bathroom was not clean and "hottub" did not have enough water to operate. I can deal with any home as long as its clean, this home had not been vacuumed or toilets scrubbed in a long while.

After a day of adventuring this was a great cabin to come “home” to! We had a party of 5, and everyone was comfortable. Loved the blackout curtains in the bedrooms, the living room was comfortable, the kitchen was very well stocked with dinnerware and pots/pans, as well as some pantry staples. The jacuzzi was the cherry on top! The difference between 4 stars and 5 came from some wall scuffs in most of the rooms and some stains in the bedroom carpets. The bottom of the handle on the microwave door fell off with the first use, it was obvious it had fallen apart before and been re-glued. However, all these are minor things and would not keep us from staying again!

It was a great location and everything we wanted. Hot tub was excellent after a day of hiking!

Perfect house to come home to after adventuring in the mountains all day. Great location and we loved the hot tub!

Good location, had what we needed in the kitchen, but the cabin is dark and dingy. Needs a good cleaning. Layers of dust and grime. Comforters do not have covers and I am sure they are not washed between guests. Stains on them are suspect--and gross. Some lights don't work, microwave handle is only half-attached. You can tell the place is just not well cared for. I expect more when i pay an arm and a leg and a cleaning fee on top of that for a marginally clean cabin.

This place is fantastic! It's definitely an older cabin and not large but is very well appointed and has tons of charm. We've stayed here in both summer and winter. The view of the ski hill and glaciers are incredible, you can see skiers right from the living room. Furniture is perfectly acceptable by cabin standards, there's fun artwork throughout, the kitchen is well appointed, the heater cranks and the hot tub is the icing on the cake! It's location is close to everything but still on a quiet street. We try to stay here every time we're in town, you can't beat it's value!

The hottub, kitchen and the view was amazing. The carpet in the bedrooms is disgusting and gives an overall dirty feeling. The codes we were given were not correct to get in the house. The bathroom door does not shut. Overall had a nice stay but would never let my feet touch the carpet or the floor.

Cozy, warm, and comfortable place to stay while skiing at Alyeska. A bit too far to walk to lifts with gear, but it’s a very short drive—a few minutes—and there is plenty of parking there.
Hot tub is very nice.

Great location, classic old Alyeska cabin like the old days.

Very spacious, clean, and accommodating! Quick response time from the Vacasa Team when the lock code wasn’t working. Totally worth it. There are other forms of heating but he wood stove was fabulous.

The property was well appointed with everything we needed, and the location is prime! Hang out in Girdwood, raft with the local adventure guides, or day trip to Seward. The view of the mountains is breathtaking.

My husband and I loved it! Better than staying in a hotel by far! The hot tub was a great thing to do after a long day in the cold!

Nice little place for a family stay in Girdwood. Everything was clean, working, and well stocked. This is an older cabin with a lot of character in a nice neighborhood. The hot tub was great and the kids loved the captains bed.

My husband, myself and our 3 college kids stayed here for 4 days. The skiing conditions were TERRIBLE but we were so thankful to have this cozy cabin to play games, sit in the hot tub and watch movies. We brought our pooch and were so thankful there is a small fenced area so we didn't have to worry about her running off. After looking at other reviews, I should remind you that this is GIRDWOOD, ALASKA. Don't expect something ritzy! If we decide to go again, we will definitely book here again!

This is definitely a CABIN. Only heater is in the front of the house- rooms were pretty cold especially if the doors were shut. When I arrived every door in the house was unlocked (4 doors) and there was definitely some exposed wires outside of the house. House was clean, not disgusting or anything of that nature but definitely out dated and needs some repairs. Hot tub was probably the newest thing about the cabin!

The house was amazing. It had everything stocked that we needed and it was just perfect! Such great memories made there in that cabin and was a nice bar of operations for fun stuff. The hot tub was fantastic made the cold day and night after playing in the snow and running around so much more bearable and the views were breathtaking

My romantic image of a vacation cabin - perfectly matched! It’s one story, easy to heat, lovely glacier views and a hot tub - what more could you ask for? Well appointed kitchen and comfy beds to boot, and well located for all the activities Girdwood has to offer.

My family and I had such a pleasant stay here. The rental came equipped with necessities and the view of the mountains from the property is priceless. Even though it's very close to the neighbor's yards, I felt like we had a lot of privacy. Everyone we met out in town were so sweet. The rental is cozy with lots of soft blankets and more than enough towels for the hot tub. The housekeeper did an amazing job :) Thank you!
