The room was very cold, with no heating. The staff did provide an extra duvet and a portable heater. The heating was still not on the next day.
Also no fires or atmosphere in the bar and main lounge area
The water temperature in the shower was tepid.
No tissues or biscuits were provided in the room due to my having made the booking through the resort?!

Enjoyable stay. Really liked this hotel and would go back again. We particularly enjoyed the self catering lodge - very convenient if you have small children. The grounds and pool were a hit! Staff friendly and helpful.
However, property is a bit dated, needs a refresh. Breakfast is expensive for what it is and we were a bit disappointed.

The hotel was amazing, we loved the Manor House feel. The food in the restaurant was lovely and a recommendation wine was perfect with our beef.

No food or bar after 9pm ? This is a hotel in the middle of nowhere. And for a very mediocre breakfast you have to follow a bizarre route to a soulless room by the gym. Very odd. Could do so, so much better.

Lovely property in a great locations we really enjoyed our stay. However the room we had in the old Manor House was a bit small and restricted by too much furniture. The shower an old in line electric water heater was difficult to use and as usual with these water pressure was limited. It would also have helped to have a small fridge.

Well kept gardens. Views great

Gorgeous hotel on vast grounds with lovely pools and gym. Easy walk to ferry for Isle of Wight.

A lovely trip to new forest. The hotel was very relaxed, good location & peaceful. The self catering suits were great size, but beds were uncomfortable & the pillows. Very clean & ideal for a long weekend trip. The SPA was very clean & relaxed. The restaurant was lovely & going above & beyond with dietry requirements. Lovely bar area & over all plesant stay.

Old building needs a lot of maintenance.
Rooms were big but poorly lit.

The shower is old and decrepit stepped into when it was warm it immediately became cold let it run from five minutes still cold so I had a cold shower and my wife didn't have a shower at all . The toilet was reluctant to flush and needed pushing several times . Room 33A was also next to the boilers for the whole building so I was woken by banging caused by in the pipes at 6 a.m. it stopped after a minute or so ,so we didn't complain. Probably a mistake because it came back in the evening louder and more persistent so reception sent an engineer. He suggested we pack up and move to another room. After we packed the banging stopped so we unpacked (partly) as we were leaving next day. Also because they were having difficulty finding us a room
Lovely location fine grounds a good swimming pool but spoiled by poor room maintenance. I would recommend not accepting 33A in the Tudor house . I can't tell you about the rest of the hotel except it looked good from a distance. The staff were good and in some cases super helpful.

Beautiful historic main building, superb grounds, great leisure centre with lovely indoor heated pool. Our bedroom was rather old and tired, but that was reflected in the price. All-in-all a very good stay.

We chose this place for a short winter break and the indoor pool was the main attraction. The apartment was comfortable, well equipped and generally clean. Overall condition of the apartment and pool facilities could be better. The strangely limited assortment of apps on the smart tv was a mystery! The walk into town is about a mile and the road is not the best after dark so I was glad to have a torch. We like Lymington and the surrounding area and travel here often.

Fantastic break from start to finish. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment (No 25) in the main Manor House and it was huge, much bigger than I expected. The apartment was spotless and came with toiletries, cleaning supplies and tea/coffee etc. We were self catering so didn’t use the restaurants but we made the most of the indoor pool as this was the main reason I booked. I wanted to take my 9 year old son away for a few days and the pool was the main attraction for us. We had a great time and I’d definitely go back. Would be even more lovely in the summer as the outdoor pool & gardens looked fab! We were lucky with the weather and managed a game of tennis one day. Yes the tennis courts need resurfacing but this didn’t stop us enjoying ourselves & having fun. Taking a child away as a single parent can be daunting but Elmers court was a great place to go, so to any other single patents out there I say go for it! You’ll have a great time

Staff extremely attentive and helpful, great food and facilities on site. Room was very cosy with a comfy bed and Google Cast which allowed us to stream whatever we liked from our phones to the TV, which was a fantastic feature we had not seen at other hotels. The spa is well worth a visit and the pool, sauna and steam room were very enjoyable too.
The only things that stopped it making this a 5-star trip was that the shower was sometimes not quite as hot as we'd like (we were in Manor House 29a) and it would have been nice to have a bigger bar area with a wider draft beer selection.
However, these minor things definitely did not spoil our trip as they were just down to our personal preferences, and we would definitely go again regardless of these! Highly recommended for couples and families alike.

Bizzare Breakfast situation and not at all worth it for the price. The hotel, room, staff in the reception and the gym spa area great. They should start serving breakfast in the main hotel building’s restaurant which serves dinner.

Really pleasantly surprised with Elmers Court. The Hotel is in a great location with fantastic facilities. John (in the bar) and Sophie (reception) deserve a special mention as they were so welcoming and enthusiastic. The Spa, gum and pool were great and this enhanced our stay. The close proximity to the IOW ferry is super practical too.

Dirty behind toilet and washbasin generally quite good paintwork a bit grubby in places.
Door to flat catches on top hinge and door to bathroom catches on edge of shower frame

Room was lovely complete with all needed amenities however very outdated.
Staff were lovely but struggled to meet basic requests.
Had paid for high chair usage on arrival, high chair failed to arrive for first 2 days despite chasing this up, when it event arrived it was filthy with Totton food on the harness and underside. Contacted reception who apologised and informed me at by another one would be sent up, 3 days later still no highchair.
Than on checkout they attempted to charge me again for the highchair I was never given.
Breakfast was below par, waited 40mins for 2 full English charged at £20pp, food was disproportionate to price charged (see photo). Whilst waiting you could hear the chef swearing and complaining about the number of people eating at the restaurant, which to add is pre booked. Tried to discuss issues with waiters once it eventually arrived but all the waiting staff had left and for obvious reasons was not going to approach the chef.
Discussed this with reception on discharge and we’re told that they would have a word with the chef (what use is that to use after our 4 year old spent 20mins asking why the man behind the screen was so upset). Expected a better service for the price, maybe staff should have considered closing the restaurant due to exceptional circumstances. Kids throughly enjoyed the pool and location was lovely for walks and bird watching. Despite issues express would definitely consider returning with own highchair this time.

Nice room, pleasant staff and great location

Friendly staff and beautiful grounds, our two bed, two bathroom self catering accommodation was very in need of modernisation- dated furnishings, mouldy seals in baths and very creaky floors.

The hotel grounds and swimming / gym facilities were good. We stayed in a 1 bed apartment which was very dated in decor, not that clean especially the bedroom / bed and cushions / curtains in living area. Sloping ceilings not great to sit up in bed which was under a window.
In need of improvement. We sat in the Tudor bar for dinner one night - again a bit dated. Car parking spaces v narrow. Food was nice. Staff friendly. Nice location.

Lovely site, loads of potential kids loved it but very tired and service is questionable however staff went above to try and rectify

The self catering accommodation was shabby, dated and needed a good clean. We were also disturbed by weddings most nights we were there, so struggled to get our son to sleep. We raised our concerns with management, who were friendly, however we wouldn't stay here again.

Lovely property so close to Isle of Wight ferry. Serene and lovely for walking around.

Patio area to the front of suite19 was very often used for parking so outlook was poor. The smell from the waste pumping tanker was on 2 days of our visit so Patio area could not really be used much, and attracted used coffee cups and cotton buds from somewhere. Shame really as the suite is very spacious a bit shabby but plenty of room.

We enjoyed our stay here. We booked an apartment which had plenty of space and a little patio to sit out on. The decor Definitely needs updating felt like we were staying at our nans house in the 80’s! But the apartment was spotlessly clean and for us it worked well having self catering and a large living and kitchen area. Perfect for families.
Facilities were great and we enjoyed making use of the pool and sauna and steam room. Didn’t eat in the hotel so can’t comment on the food. To be honest the price of the breakfast put us off eating in the restaurant! Overall we had a lovely stay though and we would book it again.

Booked a 2 night stay in an apartment (cheaper option than the hotel for our dates). Was allocated a cottage which was lovely. Garden area much appreciated in the hot weather. Good kitchen equipment and appliances. GREAT shower!
Could've been a bit cleaner in places and some maintenance wouldn't go amiss but nothing that affected our stay..... in fact it was so relaxing we seriously thought about staying longer to explore the area a bit more....perhaps another time

Beautiful building with lovely gardens.
Website info regarding checkin misleading and needs to be updated.
Reception staff very pleasant and helpful.
Spa staff were polite and answered questions but seemed unable to raise a smile or create any warmth.

Very dated apartment needs modernising. Looked like the inside of a pub from 1980. Pizza restaurant ran out of food in half term. Grounds are stunning.
1.0 / 5.0
Could not understand why people were rating this so highly as they were stating the bedrooms were very tired and the beds were terrible. Having now stayed there I can understand as everything about the rooms is correct, however the rest of the place is just fabulous. The staff were great, guy who ran the bar was very friendly and knowledge of the area. The grounds were beautiful and the view from the terrace was just spectacular. The location to the station and ferry terminal could not have been better. Would probably not stay again but no fault of the hotel, but just as there are other places to see and stay.

Beautiful grounds. Self catering apartment had a lovely view.

We stayed in an apartment and whilst being very clean and having all you would need to accommodate oneself the property is very dated - believe soon to have upgrade.
The spa is ok but service/staffing very poor - no response to pre visit enquiries and booking opportunity missed simply because n one available to ask!!! Same with hotel, nothing in room regarding food menus etc - it felt like the hotel wasn't interested in taking more money for additional guest services. We dont wish to be hard sold but do expect to know what is on offer without going in search.
Overall, a nice break and the original building has fine architecture and history
