With a prime location right in the heart of downtown Telluride, this darling, dog-friendly cottage sits within steps of the free gondola at Telluride Ski Resort, the banks of the San Miguel River, and the bustling restaurants, shops, and events that can be found all along Colorado Avenue.
Built at the turn of the century and thoughtfully modernized since, this cozy cottage is a wonderful spot for an adventure-loving family in any season. As you stroll home from a day of skiing, hiking, or mountain biking, you'll find ample space to leave your gear in the rustic shed - which even offers Adirondack chairs to make removing your boots all the easier.
Both bathrooms are downstairs, there is no bathroom upstairs in the king room.
Inside, the owners have made creative and efficient use of the space, with a triple bunk greeting you as you walk through the front door. The hallway leads into the main living space, where you'll find hardwood floors, a delightfully modern kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and an inviting living room with a flatscreen TV. You can slide open the glass doors to the deck to take a seat in an Adirondack chair, get the grill going for dinner, take a dip in the private hot tub, or gather with loved ones around the firepit with a view of the mountains. Additional amenities include a washer/dryer, a flatscreen TV in each of the bedrooms, and free WiFi throughout the house.
The king master bedroom is up a small spiral staircase right off of the bunk room.

This is a good cabin for a couple or small family. My 23-year old son, 2 small dogs, and I stayed here and it was great for us. Close proximity to Main Street and the Gondola, we just needed a place to sleep 8 hours a day while we hiked, biked, dined etc around Telluride. I wouldn’t recommend 10 people stay here, but a young couple with young kids would be just fine. We had a great father/son trip here.

We really enjoyed this cozy, comfortable home! Location was perfect! Everything we needed was within walking distance.

Perfect location in the town of Telluride. Note that both bathrooms are on the main level and accessed by a spiral staircase from the main king sleeper room.

Location is second to none. Walk to the slopes or dinner. It’s right there. The place is cozy and not much room for luggage but it’s got everything you need. The triple bunk is a tight squeeze but it works decent top and bottom. Used the middle for storage. Owner communication was quick and friendly. Recommend

The place was small but sufficient for a small family of 3 of us. The location could not be better. It was walking distance to everything you need. We needed more toiletries and Drew had them sent over before we arrived back from Dinner. I would strongly recommend this place but for a family of 4 maximum, unless you have small children.

This cozy home was located perfectly in telluride just a few minute walk from the gondola and a few minutes from shopping and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay.

If you are an older couple, I would not recommend this Vrbo. The location was amazing and a cute house. The sleeping arrangements are bunk beds, three high, the hideaway bed and a king bed up spiral staircase. Bathrooms were both on the main level.

The house was in a perfect location. Easy walk to both the shops and restaurants on Main Street and the gondola. The back deck and barn were perfect. The beds were all very big and comfortable. I would definitely recommend anyone headed to telluride.

Humble and everything needed, awesome owner, super responsive. A bit tight on quarters and bunks, but worked well.

The property is NOT AS DESCRIBED, and it is NOT an appropriate 2-bedroom for two adults who each require a bedroom. We did not open our suitcases once we saw the condition. We reached out to the owner but he did not respond. We left, found other accommodation and filed an official complaint with VRBO. It was evident that the unit was re-rented during the 6-day period of our reservation.
The front door opens directly into the triple bunk bed whose levels are stacked (greedily) close together No adult could sleep in the bottom two bunks (you’d hit your head repeatedly). The top bunk has more clearance but the 4 step ladder squeezed at the end is precarious and awkward. All the mattresses were cheap and soft. The passageway to the kitchen is blocked by the bunk bed and a crowded spiral metal staircase. Anyone over 5’10” will hit their head on that metal staircase. The bathroom sink was dirty, the sofa worn and tattered, the front door mat filthy. The front door step is not to code (too high) and therefore a fall risk. Don’t rent this unit.

This location is excellent! Right in the heart of downtown Telluride so you're able to walk anywhere you want to go in town. The house also has a nicely updated kitchen and bathrooms. Overall we had a great stay. The hot tub was also a real plus. While addressed by the owner and other reviewers, I do feel that how much space the house has was not sufficiently captured. There were only two of us, but with suitcases and some other gear (backpacks, etc), there was literally no other space to put things. We had to leave some stuff out in the car. There are no closets, for example. It should also be noted that the king bed (the only private bedroom) is upstairs and both bathrooms are downstairs. This can be problematic if you have any mobility issues because access to the upstairs bedroom is via a steep and tight spiral staircase. In summary, while we had a great time overall, we felt that the desire to maximize the number of people the house is able to sleep makes the logistics of actually staying there (even for only two people!) somewhat challenging.

Once we got to this little cottage in the village and parked our car, we didn’t need it again (except for a couple of excursions for rafting, etc) as the cottage was in walking distance of EVERYTHING. …grocery store, pharmacy, bakery, all the restaurants we had reservations for (try 221 s Oak…a gem!) and all the shops in town…. Bonus, the gondola to take you over the mountain practically at your back door. Cottage is cozy - which is cute way to say it can get crowded. Was there with myself and my two young adult children and, while we pretty much stepped over each other and our suitcases while we were there, it was fine as we enjoyed the togetherness.
Cottage was clean and well equipped - had everything we needed - ample towels and amenities, games, washer/dryer, etc. Hot tub was very clean and outside gathering spaces were enjoyable. As others have mentioned the sleeping arrangement - triple, queen-sized bunk beds in front room - a little weird - while an ingenious use of space, the tightness of the stack (think three MRI machines on top of one another!) made us laugh and made my kids a little claustrophobic.
If you are fussy, this place isn’t for you. If you want a clean, relaxing space to crash in a perfect location and responsive, communicative hosts, consider this little cottage. We enjoyed it.

We had a great long weekend at Wills place! You can’t beat the location and we got a great price for off season. The home is small, I wouldn’t recommend more than 4 people, but was exactly what we were looking for!

Great location and a cute home! Traveled with two others and the house was great. It was literally a 2 minute walk to the lifts! We had a blast!
I’ll list three pros and three cons for your consideration. Though it’s a great house, you need to consider your group size and dynamic before renting.
Pros:
- perfect location near all the Telluride restaurants and lifts. I cannot stress enough how convenient this place is! It is literally near everything you want to do!
- Clean and tidy! The house is quaint and well organized. We had a dinner gathering at the house and everyone was impressed with how compact and thought out it was.
- private hot tub with nice views of the valley. This is a huge plus for apres skiing. The hot tub was the hangout spot after a long day on the slopes. Our other friends staying at a condo were quite jealous!
Cons:
- The place is small. I would not recommend more than 4 guests at an absolute maximum if you are planning to cook and relax in the house. There is plenty of bed space but not a lot of storage space for suitcases and ski gear. There is also only one shower. With 3 of us we were quite snug.
- There was some construction next door that was a bit annoying. They start around 9 and end at 4ish. They also do not work on weekends as far as I could tell. But when they were working, the hot tub was awkward to use because it was right next to the fence where construction workers would walk by.
- The front door opens directly to the bunk room. This is simply a space issue and we were fine to access the house from the back porch. But just be aware that some of the traffic flow in the house might take you through a bedroom.
Overall it was a great place for a small group of people looking to get away for a few days. We had a wonderful time at the house! Though I shared a few concerns, they did not take away from our time at the house and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience! If you are a small group (3 or 4 people), you cannot beat this house or location at this price.
