About this apartment rental
Summary:
Metro Scottsdale Apartments - we offer 1 and 2bd apartments converted from a former Hilton Homewood Suites. These are interior corridor units and there is a possibility of noise, food and other odors and everything that comes with apartment living:) We have a touchless automated check in process and you will receive all details upon booking.
The Space:
All of our 1bd units are interior corridor meaning they are in a building with a coded secure entrance. Although rare, this also means there may be noise from neighbors, doors shutting, or upstairs noise. Although we are a strictly non smoking property, you may also smell marijuana or cigarette smoke if a guest is breaking the rules (this is a problem statewide after marijuana legalization). You may hear a fire alarm if one unit is triggered (commercial safety code). We strictly enforce a site wide non smoking policy but there have been guests that break those rules in the past. If you are highly sensitive to the remote possibility of smelling smoke, then this may not be the rental for you. We want to be 100% upfront and avoid missed expectations. We promise to do everything we can to make your stay perfect.
Amenities: Our grounds and amenities are unmatched and feature a sparkling pool, built-in BBQ gym, business center, clubhouse and dog park.
Location: We are where you want to be in the Phoenix Metro. Exactly in the middle of highways 101 and 51, you will be10minutes or less from everything including the airport, camelback corridor, downtown, Tempe, and Old Town Scottsdale. Please keep in mind that there may be very slight road noise on the grounds so if you are very sensitive then you may want to consider another option.

As soon as I walked into the building you could smell cigarette smoke & strong cologne like scents to cover up the smell. Elevator was dirty the 3 nights I was there. I didn't even want to touch the buttons. It was easy to get into the building & the room with a key pad. The bedroom smell was worse compared to the hallway. There was no way to open the windows to air out the room. The floor was sticky. You could see whatever was spilled in the room was still on the grout. You could see the dust built up on the lamp shades. The night stand had cup rings and spatters. I bought wipes to disinfect the room. I also bought 4 glade plug in units to bombard my room with a Mango scent to make the smell tolerable. I was not comfortable with the cleanliness of the room...I didnt even want my shoes on the floor. All of my belongings stayed off the floor. Then the last night I was there I went to pick up my bag off the night stand & there was a roach on my bag. I didnt want to kill it in my room so I threw it out in the hallway. The building has to be in violation some health issues because I was having a lot of allergy issues but felt better when i was out of the building. I would never stay here again. This was the first time using VRBO. I couldn't wait to get out. Don't book this place. None of the beds were king size. I dont know who approved the description of the room because they weren't true.

It was clean and convenient..... but it was advertised, and we PAID for king size beds.... the beds were almost as small as twin beds, so that was a huge misrepresentation on their part. If the beds had been as advertised, we would stay regularly, but that ruined it for us.
4.0 / 10.0
Besides the room just not being in good working order (doors don't close, missing knobs, lights not working), the cleanliness was bad. I can get a cheap stay being not the greatest from a repair and maintenance perspective, but there is no excuse for dirty linens or missing linens. The linens on the bed had hair from what appeared to be different people. The pull out sofa sheet was GROSS with a huge red dirt stain on it. No blanket for the pullout. There was also no trash can in the unit. The ceiling fan is DUSTY. The listing said king bed, was 2 full-size beds. Oh, and the security door... Useless, people left the fire door open (no alarm) allowing people in and out at will. Not that it was an issue. Sloppy property management.

Renting the property was most convenient & the rooms were clean.
