My stay at the red house couldn’t have been better, my 2 dogs had so much property to run and they did. The house is surrounded by water so the dogs had a natural fence. The details in the house are impeccable. Love this house and Susan couldn’t have been nicer.

We loved staying at this beautiful home near Barnard VT. The location was perfect - close to Barnard and not far from Killington, Okemo and the village of Woodstock. The house was updated with beautiful details and very equipped with things you typically do not get in a rental. We loved our time at this home and we definitely will come back!

We arrived between Christmas and New Year for. 3 night stay with our 3 daughters9, 16 and 19 years old. Little red is a great property situated in a quiet valley with its own river and plenty of space for our Lab to run! The property had everything we needed including a lovely open log fire and expresso machine- heaven!! Great location to visit ski areas including Killington. We are looking forward to returning for a summer break.

I just loved our stay at Little Red! We came up for my 50th birthday and brought our dogs. The dogs enjoyed their first snow storm and romped in the yard until they were covered in snow. The fireplace was perfect for our snowy weekend and the kitchen had what we needed to make chicken pot pie from scratch and enjoy a nice high end coffee with steamed milk each morning. The cottage is well decorated and comfortable at the same time. We were 20 minutes from downtown Woodstock and enjoyed a few trips there during our stay. We were close to the Barnard General Store with a great selection of wine and snacks. We received a warm welcome from Susan and would come back again!

It doesn’t get much better than this property if you’re looking for a cozy weekend away in Vermont. The house is immaculately maintained and stocked with a grill, firewood, kindling, coffee, local milk, and wine. The best part of the property is the setting which is over 40 acres of private land including a small creek. My wife and I brought our dog who was in heaven at the property. The proximity to Woodstock is great (15-20 minutes north) as well as access to a number of great hiking trails (you can access the Appalachian trail within a 5 minute drive). The host is very responsive to any questions and even bought a small toy for our dog. We can’t wait to come back!
