Very charming and peaceful hotel at a walking distance of the most popular places and night markets in Chiang Mai.

Stylish, spotless and well-appointed location a 10-min walk from the old city. Spacious room, excellent and accommodating staff, cheap laundry machines, great breakfast. My only knock is that rooftop pool was only open until 7pm and that area has some ugly bunched-up astroturf issues. Overall, this place is an outstanding value.

We stayed 3 nights in Gategaa Village during Songkran and it was such a comfortable stay. Best things about it are:
- Spaciousness of the room (2 bathrooms, 4 beds, 2 TVs)
- All day snacks and drinks a the lobby
- Location was right across the Ping River, allowing us to skip the Songkran traffic jams but still near enough to the Old City for us to just drive in for some fun and games
- Pretty complete city hotel, they even had a washing machine and dryer we could operate ourselves

We loved the atmosphere at Gategaa Village. Everything was beautifully decorated and just adorable. We loved the outdoor bathtubs, the robes, and quiet, except for the one dog next door. The only thing that could be better is the efficiency of the air on units. Our room struggled to get cool enough. Overall, we loved it and would come again.

Very casual small hotel. Friendly staff. The pool is shallow and the tiles rough. Be careful when swimming. The iron is old fashion and weak. Otherwise, all good.

I cannot express enough how impressed I was with every aspect of my visit. From the moment I stepped foot in the lobby to the final farewell, this hotel exceeded my expectations in every way possible.
The staff members were absolutely exceptional, from the front desk to the housekeeping team, everyone displayed a level of professionalism and hospitality that is hard to come by!
The accommodations were simply exquisite. My room was spacious, elegantly designed, and impeccably clean. The attention to detail was evident throughout, from the plush bedding to the luxurious bathroom amenities. Every night, I was able to unwind and relax in absolute comfort, ensuring a good night's sleep after a long day of exploring the city.
In addition to its outstanding features, the hotel also provides a daily breakfast and complimentary drink and snacks bar at the lobby!
Last but not least, the hotel's location was ideal. Situated in a convenient and vibrant neighborhood, I was within easy reach of major attractions, shopping districts, and renowned cafes/restaurants.
In conclusion, my stay at this hotel was truly fantastic. The impeccable service, luxurious accommodations and convenient location all contributed to an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking an extraordinary stay and I look forward to returning to this remarkable establishment on my next visit to the city!

This hotel is absolutely amazing, large rooms with super comfortable beds. Lots of great facilities in the room and around the grounds beautiful gardens and in public areas so many great art features to enjoy.
My second stay here and won’t be my last as the staff were so friendly and helpful, always cheery and happy smiles, so friendly.
My only little criticism is the free to use bikes really need a bit of maintenance, saddles lowered while in use, brakes either almost non existent or full on but I appreciate they are free and get pretty hard use.
However a great hotel with amazing staff, thank you to them for making my stay so enjoyable.

This was my favourite place to stay on my recent trip to the north of Thailand. The hotel and my room was of a very high standard and was as good as the photos online. Everywhere was very clean and welcoming. The rooftop area with pool, fitness equipment, toilet and shower was great and I was able to use these facilities after I'd checked out of my room for the rest of the afternoon. Breakfast was included in the price and consisted of a light buffet (cereal, toast, pancakes, fruit and yogurts) and then the choice of thai or western hot food you could order. Reception staff were very accommodating and also helped me to book my overnight train ticket to Bangkok. Their laundry facilities were coin operated and 10-20 baht more expensive than other laundry facilities I came across, but they were convenient and could be accessed at any time. The location was a bit further out from the old city, but only a short walk from the river. It was very easy to get a taxi using an app or reception could call one for you. Overall, I had an excellent experience staying at Gategaa Village.

I found all staff friendly and accommodating and very approachable from the desk staff to the to the room maids and would definitely stay again. It was a quiet and relaxing atmosphere and just the right distance from town. The cooked breakfasts were done to order and were more than adequate. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.

The atmosphere at Gatega is so peaceful and relaxing. The staff make you feel so welcome as soon as you enter. Even though the hotel is right near all the tourist places it is quiet and surrounded with trees. The breakfast changes each day and there is a choice of both Thai and Western. The rooms are spacious and modern and it is delightful to sit on the balcony to relax and listen to the birds. Will recommend this hotel to friends.

I LOVE this hotel. It’s super cute and quiet and has a great breakfast. The staff is so lovely and the rooms are really nice. The room cleanup was super basic but maybe they were understaffed? We stayed 5 nights and this was one of ours favourite hotels during our 3 week trip. Small but nice rooftop pool that was never busy. Great value for the money and walkable to the old city!

After traveling Thailand for 3 weeks, this hotel exceeded our expectations and was our favorite. The staff was beyond helpful and kind. The shuttle took us to get massages, the food from the chefs was delicious and the rooms were the most comfy!

This was honestly the best hotel stays I have ever had. First of all, extremely lovely hotel. Tucked away out of sight and surrounded by trees. The hotel staff was pleasant and extremely helpful. Check in went very smoothly. They have a washer and dryer on site at your expense. They also offer free luggage storage. Breakfast is also included with your stay. Very delicious with a good variety.
The room itself was superb. Clean and comfortable. There was a stove, pans, utensils and a small fridge. Beds were comfortable and decor chic.
Overall extremely pleased with my stay. Affordable and close to the city.

Such a beautiful hotel with the cutest rooms. We appreciated the attention to detail put in every nook and cranny of the property.
The staff was very friendly and helpful.
Breakfast was tasty, not many options but a good hot meal with all the little sides.
Laundry was 50 baht a load 10baht for every 10 minutes. There are two washers and one dryer so it can get busy.
Pool was amazing. Roof top. Perfect temp & right next to the fitness facilities.
Loved it here. By far our favorite place we have stayed in Thailand.

We really loved our stay here. The room was beautiful, and the amenities were great! Having a laundry area for guests to use is always a huge seller for me! 80 baht total for a large load of laundry is incredibly cheap compared to most hotels! Breakfast was good, just wish they had more juice selection. But the aesthetics of the place were really nice and made it feel quite lux, despite the lower price. Lots of beautiful wood, and some art to really give it a stylish flair. The pool was great, a bit shallow, but nice. Gym is a bit small, but sufficient. The bed was comfortable. There were only a few small things that I feel I need to mention: 1. The area is a little far down a side street, which makes it nice and quiet. But there were a lot of dogs in the area, so if you walk back from a night out, they’ll bark at you, which freaks me out, but not really the responsibility of the hotel, so I didn’t mark them down for that. 2. Some of the things in the room were a bit strange, including the large leather swing, which had some interesting stains on it. Honestly, it’s completely unnecessary and impractical for the room, and was only really in the way. 3. We asked the front desk to book us a cab to the airport early in the morning. We prepaid 350 baht for a ride that ended up being super short. Pretty sure they just called a friend to make some quick easy cash and take us to the airport. That being said, the service was fine. Good driver, clean car, on time, no complaints.

It was hard for taxis to find. The neighbours dogs bark constantly. Loud and yelpie. Theres dog poop in the driveway everyday. The maids start early and are very noisy.
The plus is the beds are huge. The rooms are beautiful.

We had a great stay at Gategaa. I would consider the place the ideal boutique hotel. The staff were incredibly nice and spoke great English. Check in was super easy and friendly and they had our room ready before check in. The atmosphere was very nice and it is definitely a newer building.
The room was really unique and had a very cool feel. The A/C worked well and the shower was amazing. The room was well stocked and really clean.
I made a mistake when booking and wrote a message on Expedia to the hotel and everything was corrected by the time we arrived.
Breakfast was incredible with a daily Thai special and a buffet style arrangement as well as your choice of eggs. I had the Thai specials while the wife enjoyed a more traditional style breakfast. The coffee and fresh juices were also amazing.
The location is perfect, close to down town and the old town. Lots to do in the area and very walkable. We did not take taxis, or tuk tuks as we were that close.
We didn’t use the laundry services but it looked convenient.
The roof top pool was great as well as the sun loungers we used more than once. There was a nice looking gym (if you are in to that sorta thing).
We did ask the hotel to arrange a transport to the airport on our last day and this was very convenient for us.
I would highly recommend this hotel and it has been one of our favourite places while in Thailand. We stayed 5 nights and would do it again in a heart beat. <3
