About this house rental

Built in 1910 this coastal cottage has been completely remodeled to incorporate modern day conveniences without losing the old world charm.

High ceilings, a propane rock fireplace, detached game room with shuffleboard table, huge yard with fire pit and above all a GREAT location make this the ideal place to enjoy your time on this very special peninsula.

"True Blue" is an old cottage made new again and should have everything you need to make this your "home away from home" on the Long Beach Peninsula.

The kitchen has all new appliances including a dishwasher and farmhouse sink. Basic spices, plenty of dishes/glassware, pots and pans and a coffee bar with coffee, creamer, sugar, etc. for your morning brew will get you started.

The main area of the house boasts a charming living room and dining room with the original wainscoting and built-ins. The propane fireplace and 65" smart TV will make "staying in" cozy and fun.

The dining area can comfortably seat 8 or even 10 with the 8 foot dining table so making meals together and "eating in" can be a pleasure.

The main living area also has an area with a table and chairs designed for you to pull out your laptop and comfortably work or catch up on some emails.

Outside of the main house there is a detached "Rumpus Room" which offers additional space to spread out. In the Rumpus Room you'll find a 55" smart TV, a shuffleboard table and plenty of games.

As far as sleeping goes . . . the primary bedroom has a king bed and en suite bathroom with rain head shower and is supplied with plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryer, etc.

The second bedroom also has a king bed and is tucked away at the back of the house just around the corner from the second bathroom which has a tub/shower and is also well stocked with necessities.

Both the living room and Rumpus Room have pull out sleeper sofas to accommodate extra guests. Both sleepers are a little larger than a double bed.

All in all there are lots of options for getting comfortable! All beds have quilts with down comforters so you'll be nice and warm regardless of the weather.

The house also has a washer and dryer for your use during your stay.

The other great feature about this house is the outdoor space and it's completely fenced. Whether grilling on the Weber charcoal grill and dining at the picnic table, making s'mores in the fire pit, playing games on the lawn or just relaxing on the deck - - it's a great space for hanging out.

Loved the looks of True Blue and the reviews of those that stayed there were all positive. We were looking forward to our week stay in June since February. Unfortunately, the night before we were to leave for our trip, I fell and broke my arm. Notified both VRBO and the host that we couldn’t make it (did not know at that time if surgery was necessary). I received a percentage of the cleaning fee and the pet fee. Nothing else. Just a “hope you feel better.” How about a discount on a future stay? That might me feel better.

The house is beautiful and spacious. Really is walking distance to the beach! Close to pretty much everything. My husbabd and I loved it, our friends loved it, and our dogs loved it, especially the beach! We would definitely use this place again

This place is so charming. You feel like you are in the earlier part of the world but with modern touches. Comfy beds, and the space off the master was our favorite hangout. Will stay again.

This home is really lovely. It is tastefully decorated with beautiful artwork. Practically everything you need is there and close proximity to shopping and the beach. We wanted to stay longer it was so comfortable.

Exceeded description and pictures!! Love this house so much! Not only was it perfectly clean and decorated, great location (walk to beach & food) but the host was super accommodating to our changing needs!! Could not be more impressed with the entire experience, thank you so much we will be back!

Beautiful home, big yard and very smooth communication. Easy check-in and out process. We visited on one of the warmer weekends. The ceiling fans throughout the home were great for keeping cool at night. An additional plug-in fan would have been helpful to have for the room that didn’t have a ceiling fan but we spent the whole day outside at the beach and the evenings cooled down well enough for it to really not be a big deal. Overall, very comfortable, convenient, well stocked and easy place for our family and friends to gather. Would definitely stay again!

The outside reminded us of a storefront, but we were pleasantly surprised with the inside. Very well decorated, and comfortable. We could tell that much thought was put into everything provided. The rumpas room was a hit with the teenage grandchildren. Beds were comfortable as well as the furniture. One suggestion would be some sort of dresser in the master, so we could unpack our suitcase. Having to haul off all of our garbage to the store was an inconvenience and an additional expense. Other than that, it was most enjoyable. We would stay there again.

What an amazing home! We have a place we usually stay in the area, but was booked. So we rolled the dice on a new place. So glad we did! I can honestly say, this is our new first choice! The home is beautiful, with everything you will need for your stay. Parking is excellent. And the location....steps from the beach, or simply drive over and on to the beach. You simply cannot ask for a better location! Definitely feel confident when booking this property!

The home was lovely, spacious and had almost everything we needed. The location was perfect for toting toddlers to and from the beach. Would recommend bringing a few food storage containers if you plan to cook at the house. The only bummer was the shuffle board being so slanted that we were unable to play. Can’t beat the location and amenities. We will be back! Thank you for sharing your home with us!

Cute little home in walking distance of the beach. I stayed here with my husband and our dogs and we loved it. It was nice to be able to walk to the grocery store and get a few things to make for dinner. The backyard is nice for the dogs to run around and the extra room with the shuffleboard was super fun.

Every detail has been thought through. We entered in the evening after a harrowing traffic snarl to find the fireplace on, heaters warming the rooms, lights low. We felt as if we were getting a big hug. It was sparkling clean and beautifully designed without being fussy. Literally, from the basket of blankets in the living room by the fireplace, to the container of special dog chew treats in the kitchen, every possible special touch seemed to have been thought through. We made a spaghetti dinner, enjoyed the firepit outside, had a movie night and walked the neighborhood and beach. We wandered from Jack's historic store to the espresso bar and knitting shop by the beach entry. We took two trips up to the Oysterville Oyster farm on the water. It was utterly magical. We would recommend this stay and this adorable town to our dearest friends and family, and we have. Thank you for a spectacular stay.
