Lovely place. Extremely clean. Good food. Great staff.

Really great stay in room 1. Price not overly suitable for a business trip however I would definitely be happy to stay here for leisure.
Comfortable and very welcoming staff who were constantly there to help with any requests.
Great facilities, evening meal was lovely, breakfast wasn’t tasting very fresh which was surprising.
4.2
Excellent location with nature, staff, and breakfast

When we arrived at the hotel no one was at reception, we had to find a member of staff in the restaurant. The room was fine, nothing exceptional, and the window did not shut properly (a theme round the hotel). There was a bath in the bathroom, but this could only be filled from the shower as there were no taps!
There is no where else around to eat (which we guessed when we booked, so not a fault of the hotel), so eating in the hotel is the only option. The menu had various different options from pizza to Indian meals and traditional English meals. I ordered the fish and chips to be told ‘there was a problem with the fryer’ so this was not available. We were sat by a window which had a draft blowing through it. My wife asked a member of staff to close the window, he said he didn’t know how to so would get someone else to do so, no one came to look at the window. The food was OK, nothing amazing.
Again breakfast was OK but nothing special. We were asked to book a time when we arrived at the hotel, there was no reason for this.
Overall, there is generally nothing wrong with the property (apart from the windows) and the staff were all pleasant, but there is nothing special and the hotel as well the meals are overpriced for what you get.

To be honest, I made a mistake in booking here. BUT what an AWESOME mistake! I meant to book in the city of Inverness. At first, I was disappointed in myself. But then I got there. The beauty is intense. And wait there’s more. About 200 feet from the Inn is what turns out to one of the most beautiful hikes I have ever done in my life. The beauty is so intense it kinda brings tears to your eyes. The Inn is sooo charming. And their food is insanely delicious! I had salmon one night, and I think it was the most delicious salmon I’ve ever eaten. Their breakfast buffet is awesome with tons of choices. I stayed 3 nights and hiked my face off each day. I was not in a car and it was really easy to get a bus from Inverness bus station (next door to the train station). I highly recommend if you love hiking and then down time in a charming Inn with delicious food. I can’t say enough good things.

We had dinner there our first night. It was overpriced for everything on the menu.
Our room was separated from the main inn and we had 2 rooms above us. The walls and floor were paper thin. The upstairs neighbors were up all hours of the night and it was a rough night's sleep.
The room TV had satellite but only 4 channels worked.

This property is very beautiful and so were the surroundings. It is a hotel but with the comfort of a country house. The employees were very friendly and the room was very large and cozy. Without a doubt, as tour guides, we will recommend it to our clients.
4.2
Room was comfortable enough. Bathroom was quite small. Staff is very hard working and wear a lot of hats doing multiple jobs at once. Nice that a warm breakfast buffet is included. If you’re looking for a stay far from anything this is your place.

Good place to stay

Exceptional , i loved it and would recommend this place to others

We had a fantastic long weekend here. Beautiful surroundings, excellent food, the staff were very attentive and welcoming and a really lovely place to relax after hillwalking.
4.2
The food was really good. I had the BBQ ribs and my daughter had the fish and chips basket. The calamari, prawns, and cod were all fresh and all the meat was cooked just right to melt in your mouth.
4.2
Beautiful scenery and wonderful hotel. Warm and welcoming staff. The food was spectacular, best fish and chips on our UK vacation.
4.2
The property was welcoming and very neat.
The staff were very accommodating and polite.
The room was warm and clean.
Good value for money, which included breakfast.
The most important was a comfortable nights sleep. Thankyou.
4.2
Pretty, but so isolated that it basically forced us to have dinner and breakfast there. Check-in staff hard to find.
4.2
This is a gem of a hotel in the middle off the Highlands, isolated and peaceful. It was a very pleasant surprise to find such excellent Indian cuisine on the menu along with traditional fare.
4.2
Thank you for the service!
4.2
This little place is an oasis surrounded by the beautiful mountains. The staff was absolutely top notch.
4.2
We loved the Cluanie Inn its in the middle of the mountains and so nice and comfortable. No air but we didnt need it where we were. This place was great.
4.2
Pricey but really the only option for some of the big walks. Food and drinks very expensive.
4.2
The inn was absolutely superb. The staff were friendly all the time. The food incredible! I would thoroughly recommend this unique, beautiful, comforting place to stay. Worth every penny.
4.2
Beautiful location to relax and enjoy the scenery.
4.2
Beautiful location and clean, comfortable room. Restaurant has good selection of meals and food was delicious.
4.2
The location for a drive around Skye was perfect. Easy to get to from Glasgow airport. Meals excellent. A real nice feel of the highlands. You could tell that the owners appreciate their guests. Quite a few midges in the area so be prepared. Selling some spray on site would help.
4.2
Beautifully appointed hotel. Very attentive management team that has created a complete facility including a bake house as a rest stop for travelers.
4.2
The hotel is part of a local chain Black Sheep Hotels, but has a very independent family feel.
Greeted by a fire at reception it instantly gave a warm welcoming feel. The staff were friendly and the restaurant meal was contemporary.
The room was warm, inviting and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. The only frustration about our room was there was an interconnecting corridor door that constantly was banging with people going to their rooms.
Breakfast was ample and a mixture of continental and cooked we both really enjoyed it.
Would love to stay there again lovely hotel.

Room OK. Dinner & bar service was patchy. Breakfast was good.

Great food menu, comfy decor, spacious bedrooms.

The pictures for the claunie inn do not do it justice. This place is absolutely stunning, in beautiful surroundings. It has been finished to a very high standard with high end furnishings, bed linen, towels and toiletries. Breakfast and lunch were fabulous and the service is fantastic! Highly recommend.
4.2
This was an excellent hotel in every way. Our accessible room was first class, the staff were lovely and the food was very good. I see that the Inn is stated by Hotels.com as being in Inverness but, while it has an Inverness Post Code, it is around 60 miles from Inverness and this information should be stated prominently on your site. The hotel is an ideal stopping place on the route from Inverness to Skye.
4.2
Exceptional service, and excellent in all other respects
4.2
Very attentive staff. Hotel and room decor really good and in a fabulous setting.
4.2
Nicely refurbished, clean and comfortable. Food excellent at dinner and breakfast.
4.2
All very new and clean. Service was super slow, 40 minutes waiting for a drink while eating a meal. Breakfast order messed up.
4.2
A fabulous refit of an iconic and historical highland Staging Post/Inn. Outstanding in every respect.
