- I asked for extra blankets; They were clarly reluctant and gave me 1 out of 2
- No room service. I asked them to bring the uber eat to my room, they said no
- extra breakfast fees at 40€ : a scandale (the only fruits available were a banana and an apple for example)
- my room was at the equivalent of a -1 of a garden with very little light : clearly not expected from the pictures

A bit outdated. We still enjoyed staying there. Would appreciate the door to the bathroom though.

The staff was super helpful and accommodating. It’s a very traditional style hotel but clean and well maintained. The beds were very comfortable!!

Great staff. Cute place to stay.

Beautiful accommodations and perfectly convenient/walkable to everything! The room was small, but we were only staying a few nights so it wasn't bad. There is no closet or anywhere to hang clothes other than the 2 knobs in the bathroom for towels. But truly that's my only complaint/note, everything else was perfect! The candies water in the lobby were a nice touch as well :)

The staff were incredible. They offered suggestions for where to go and what to do. They helped with dinner reservations and were also wonderful to deal with.

Loved Hotel Mercier. The staff was friendly and very accomodating. it was conveniently located to many restaurants, canal cruise, bike rentals, etc. I would highly recommend!

Beautiful unique property in a gorgeous neighborhood right near the center of town. We were able to walk everywhere and enjoy Amsterdam.

Overall great experience, only down side is U wished they had refrigerator in the rooms.

The property looks like old house converted to a hotel. Very quaint. The room was very nice but view to neighboords' houses. Overall a very nice location close to the center, but not in the busy touristic area. Good reataurants nearby. Would stay again.
Front desk staff (Angelique and Gina) were extremely helpful and professional.

this was truly an amazing place to stay. i would recommend this 1000x to anyone. it was safe for 2 women traveling alone, clean, the staff were SO nice and the decor is exactly what you’re looking for all the content!

Terrible hotel. check-in was a mess, hotel room is tiny we had booked a juion suite which is just a regular room that they shove 2 chairs into, the bathroom is completely exposed, the room has no facilities at all, no water to drink, no fridge, the cleaners never came in 4 days, the lobby bar has terrible service and the hotel staff are terrible.
I dont usually care this much but it was such a terrible hotel and i paid so much money (over 500 euro per night) that I hope noone else makes the same mistake as me. After 4 nights we moved to the Andaz and that was fantastic and worth the money.

Location was great.

Overall staff were amazing and took time to provide a map of area and point out good areas to eat and sight see. Check in was efficient and we we even got to check in early for which we were grateful after traveling all day. Only down side was room was a bit dated and carpet stained. Other than that we had a fantastic stay and time in Amsterdam

Beautiful hotel, everything was clean and appealing to the eye. The decor was top notch! Had a two story family room, sleeper sofa on first floor for our 2 kids and a king size bed upstairs for us. Room was very spacious and clean. Bathroom was also a great size. Perfectly situated in the canal area of Amsterdam and just a 5-10 minute walk to the Anne Frank House and walking distance to many other attractions and areas.

Amazing location

The location was great! Central to all the main tourist attractions - just steps from Anne Frank Huis and canal cruises! The facility itself was wonderful. Very clean, spacious (especially for a European hotel room) and comfortable. There is an elevator, which isn’t common in most places. Also, the “deluxe rooms” are in an enclosed area, not open to the street. It wasn’t clear from the pictures online and I was nervous to be exposed to the street as two women traveling alone, but everything was enclosed and very safe. The only way in and out is through the front doors, which lock around 8pm. The area around the hotel is very clean and safe, it’s in a great area of town! Close enough to walk to everything, but far enough away to not be disturbed by the nightlife. The hotel itself is very quiet with no street noise. It’s located down an open alleyway just off of the outer canal. There is a cute bar downstairs that was open later and provided a great nightcap, including an authentic Dutch liquor cocktail. The staff was helpful, although there was a mix up with check-in and I was told I had multiple outstanding charges when I didn’t, but I’m not sure how much was a misunderstanding through communication or through booking through a third party. All in all, they were easy to work with and figure it out. 10/10 would recommend this place and hope to stay here again!

Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Location was perfect and the hotel was very unique and welcoming.

Positive: great breakfasts, location perfect in Amsterdam, very friendly and helpful staff, heated floor next to shower
Negative: postage stamp room. Very little space to move in room , no dressers or anywhere to put clothing very inconvenient
2.5
Wonderful!
Hope to stay again for more nights!
Service and food were outstanding (brilliant vegan tasting dinner and perfect varied and delicious breakfast selection). The staff were excellent - friendly, professional, efficient and knowledgeable.
My room was spacious with greenery outside of my window. The bed was tidy and comfortable. Towels and linens were clean and fresh.
A few minor missteps: I did notice a couple of small spots/stains on the walls that needed a bit of cleaning (bathroom and bedroom). Also, I wish there was a small trash can in the bathroom for convenience instead of near the room door (I could have moved it but was so tired that I didn’t think about it honestly). Please kindly fix the toilet paper roll holder bar as it fell off (Room 304) with the roll of toilet paper and I could not get it back in place. Hair conditioner would be helpful with the shampoo. However, I was able to get a free travel size from the front receptionist - thank you so much!
Also I very much appreciate your asking for feedback.

A adorable hotel that allowed you to feel like the history of the area

Our room had a set of stairs leading to the bedroom very unsafe, lower level with no seating

Good hotel, good loby. but I dont like the room design that much.
Nothing was wrong with my stay. location is perfect. I just thought price is high for the room standards.

Area is great. Room window couldn’t open-broken window handle. Hallway was way too dark with many steps up/down along hallway-not convenient to keep lifting luggages up/down. Had a sick friend and requested an earlier check in -staff didn’t really accommodate her request in spite of telling them she was sick. Borrowed hotel umbrella and was told to return them-like really? Who would steal or forget to return to them?

Very good hotel near everything to see.

We had a great experience at Hotel Mercier. It is in a wonderful location, walkable to many sights and close to a tram line. They offer a family suite that worked perfectly for our family of 4. I would definitely stay here again.

This may be one of my favorite places we have ever stayed. The hotel was beautiful and the staff was friendly. The hotel is in a great location that is walkable to everything.

Hotel Mercier was a wonderful place to stay. Room was comfortable & clean. Breakfast was excellent. But it was the excellent staff that made our stay so enjoyable. The last morning we had to leave early for the airport & had arranged for coffee & a to-go breakfast before the regular time for breakfast. When the kitchen staff didn’t arrive, the front desk agent went above & beyond to make sure that we had what we needed before we left. Excellent service from front desk agent!! All front desk staff were helpful & friendly. We are very happy with Hotel Mercier!

We stayed at hotel Mercier for a few nights before our river cruise. It worked out perfectly - centrally located, local flavor and nice and quiet.
4.0
Ive stayed here before and it just feels a little tired in the rooms. Also no water to drink in room. Young inexperienced staff in bar which made the experience less polished and took away some magic. Lights too bright in restaurant so didnt go in.
4.0
The property itself is very chic, superb location and lovely rooms - definitely go for a junior suite and above, and ask for a room with light as there are a few at the back with no light. Great for coming back to in between being out and about.
Few things could be improved - restaurant staff were rude when telling us to eat non restaurant food upstairs. Could have been handle politely and more gracefully than with attitude.
The toilet paper is super rough and needs to be replaced with softer. We went out to buy our own.

Great location for a visitor - very walkable! Beautiful clean rooms and friendly staff. Would recommend

Staff is super friendly, the room was clean and quiet and more spacious than we thought it would be. They even let us checkout a little later and held our bags.
Very close to Anne Frank Huis if you plan to go there, and close to the canal tours.

Great location, walking distance to all main attractions at Downtown. Hotel has a great antique style, the room was nice and big. We got the suite with a mezzanine and it was perfect for our family (2a 2c). The children loved the bathtub also. Friendly and helpful staff. The only downside was the fact that the restaurant is vegan and I am fan of a steak. But this is mi opinion and it didn’t impact our great experience there. We recommended this hotel.

We loved the Mercier. The location was perfect and the staff made our experience effortless and delightful. We have already recommended to friends
