Beautiful gardens. Outstanding gourmet dinning. Excellent staff. Artistic decor. A rather magical place. Comfortable and delightful rooms. This was the best stay I had in Kenya and Tanzania in the 6 weeks I was there. There are 0 negatives.

Quirky property in a nice area of Nairobi (although not very central). Comfortable, helpful, friendly staff, good value for money. I'm in Nairobi regularly and this is now my "go to" place to stay.

Such a calm and beautiful setting. The owners and staff could not have been nicer and more attentive to our needs. The garden restaurant was a fantastic place to relax, meet interesting people, and eat the best Lebanese food we have ever had. This was so much better than your typical hotel experience.

We were blown away by the love and attention that was given to every single minute of our stay! Our host poured her heart into Hob House and taught us so much in the too little time we had with her. We loved her passion for her native country and her equal passion for beautiful Kenya. Anybody who has traveled throughout the world knows, most cultures come together as a loving family during meal times. Hob House did not disappoint. We were treated to truly complex and masterfully prepared dishes that I will never forget. Hob House truly sets the standard for travelers looking for an unforgettable stay.

I loved the Lebanese food at the restaurant below. The furnishings and decorations are very comfortable and visually pleasing, lots of culture. The balcony and garden are relaxing. The neighborhood is quiet and I like that there are only a few rooms - so there isn’t guest noise.

Lovely, quiet oasis just outside of the chaos of Nairobi. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Food is excellent. This is a hidden gem!

I stayed at Hob House for three weeks in June for work purposes. I honestly cannot recommend this beautiful, peaceful, comfortable and unique guesthouse more strongly! I have visited Kenya for many years and stayed in countless hotels in Nairobi. None of them came close to the incredible care I enjoyed at Hob House. To start with, Kelly and Peter are wonderful hosts that really understand the needs of their guests – they also happen to run (in the house) one of Nairobi’s top dining destinations. The guesthouse is spotlessly clean, the beds incredibly soft fitted with the freshest of linen, the bathrooms stocked with luxury organic products – and the food is organic, healthy and absolutely delicious. The breakfast is a magnificent experience. The house has a stunning garden and sits amidst these beautiful farms in a very safe neighborhood – which feels like a retreat outside Nairobi, but is a very quick location for getting to the UN agencies as well as Westlands. I particularly treasure the walks that Angeline the housekeeper took me for in the early evenings past the fields. I was unwell for a portion of my stay, and Kelly, Peter and their wonderful staff took remarkable care of me, checking I was ok, cooking special meals and making sure I had everything I needed to get better – all without being intrusive. I cannot thank them enough. If you are looking for a truly special place to stay in Nairobi, rejuvenate your mind and have peaceful space to yourself, go to Hob House!
