Took forever to give drinks or food ac was not working had us waiting in the room for hours and nobody showed up I got tired of waiting and canceled my stay worst service ever
3.0 / 5.0
The rooms are beautiful although the air conditioner in our room was broken and staff never responded to calls to repair it. The property itself is beautiful. Unfortunately the place is priced for the 18-20 something market so there is more of a young party atmosphere with many folks drunk and wearing their shirts and clothes in the pool. I’m not one for swimming in a wash basin. It is not your typical all inclusive in the sense that the restaurants close early and for some reason, check-in is at 4 pm and reservations for the a la carte restaurants close at 3 pm. So if you are staying for one night you are forced to eat in the buffet which have very limited options. There is a sushi restaurant open round the clock and the sushi there was actually decent although we found ourselves surrounded by drunk kids which was not the ideal atmosphere. The resort was not bad but it just was not geared to our mid 30 age bracket and the food quality and choices are significantly less than other area resorts with the same ratings.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Our swimout pool and Hacienda suite were kept well stoked and cleaned. Staff bussled around replacing drinks and cleaning tables. We were continually offered refills and checked on. The Omlete station at El Buffet was amazing and the steakhouse sinner was out favorite. We had an amazing time. Some staff found out it was our anniversary and we had champagne, and special desserts prepared for us at dinner and again later at the bar. The staff was fun and respectful. The AC and bottled water in the rooms were very refreshing. We would absolutely go back. Salud to Carlos, Wencesloa, and Brandon for making our trip extra special!

Needs more dinning options and maybe a small portion menu for dinner , due to people who have diabetes or any weight loss procedures. Also fresh fish on the menu would be excellent versus farm raised tilapia fish . Due to being next to the ocean. Needs to have an ice maker / bucket for guests use .

Terrible experience! No AC in the room! Pool was terrible! Bugs in the room! Food was terrible! Very dirty room! Buffet was dirty! Restaurants are low level! They were all full!

AC did not work in none of the swim outs so I was told after ours was not working. They moved us to the hotel next door with a swim out but nothing as nice as the hacienda this other hotel was noisy the swim out was dirty and shallow. Ever since the name change from Hitlton to grand Krystal this place is going down hill fast

The property is very pretty and the rooms are very nice however that’s all the good I could say, the food is very mediocre only breakfast was good. The concierge staff is weird, staff at breakfast and around the pool were the best.
The worst were the mosquitoes I’ve never been to a resort with so many mosquitoes, my partner got bit at least 25 times.
Do note; there are raccoons at night.

Decor and staff were amazing the downside was the pool times closing early. Some of the food buffet was not it. But overall a great vacation

It says on here there are 7 restaurants BUT The restaurants were not open everyday making it very difficult to find food on the property. We had to wait over an hour for dinner bc it was the only thing open besides the mediocre buffet. I would not recommend this resort if you are looking for a large variety of good food and drinks.

Service sucked. Most staff not friendly
Bathroom smelled like a sewer. Needs new toilet.

Only negatives i have for the property is that our bed was way too hard for my tastes. And that breakfest buffet on the adult only side was not open so we had to deal with kids first thing inbthe morning. Other then those two the resort was phenomenal.
3.0 / 5.0
The staff here was fantastic however they say adults only side, which I paid for, and they allow kids to come from the other side of the property and eat, and there were crying kids when I was at the bar, which I paid for adult only if it’s adult, only they should not allow the kids from the other side of the property to come over that side and every day there were kids there Room with its own pool, but the light did not work. I had a bathtub and the hot water did not work and when I complained to the hotel, they did not adjust my rate or compensate me in anyway.

The hacienda was so nice and updated, staff was incredible! Every time we come back to our room , it was freshly cleaned. Wish there was more of a nightlife but overall, our experience was amazing. It was a bonus as well that we had access to its sister resort that has a connecting bridge ! Overall very satisfied.
4.0 / 5.0
Really clean property, really friendly and attentive and staff. Sales staff (for Krystal Rewards) were REALLY pushy, which was annoying.
Perhaps it's because we went towards the end of busy season/beginning of the off season, but there were 2 of 7 nights that all property restaurants were closed, many nights only one restaurant was open. We were able to enjoy the great breakfast buffet on the Hacienda side only once before it was closed for the duration of our stay. On 2 occasions, we weren't given any options other than eating on the beach one night and eating in a banquet room setting on another. Also, because of the reduced restaurant availability and difficulties actually getting a table at a reasonable hour, we were only able to experience 1 of several restaurants on the property. Overall the food was really good though (except for the beach day, where it was not good at all).
When you pay to stay in an adults only resort, but are forced to eat with families and young children, you should no longer be paying a premium for the private, adults only experience.

We stayed at the Hacienda part which is the adult only. A short walk to the Grand which has the better pool by the beach and is the adjacent resort is where we spent most of our time since we wanted to see the ocean and beach. Obviously this part of PV does not offer long beach walks like the Nuervo Vallarta part so don't expect long beaches. The Hotel is very worn down and needs to be updated. The pool side beds were not in good shape and the entire facility seems to be outdated. The main buffet had very little choices and actually one of the fewest options for food of the dozen all inclusives I have been in PV. Some days I actually only had fried meats to choose from. Breakfast is regular and decent with options. The Italian was ok. Steakhouse was very bad and all meat well done with no option for otherwise.. Location is awesome. Walk to Walmart, 5 min 10 min from Malecon, and airport.

Most excursions where walking distance when they picked you up, and only 10 min car ride from airport. The food was delicious at all the restaurants. I would definitely stay here again.

Overall would recommend.

The stay was great. The food was really good overall, the room and property were beautiful, and the service was friendly and efficient. We had a fantastic time! The only thing we didn't appreciate was how hard they were trying to sell us on the club membership. It was a bit uncomfortable so that was the only real downside.

Was able to use all amenities at both the hacienda and Krystal grand. And had great access to the beach

Loved how beautiful this hotel and the grounds were. Lots of places to walk around, multiple pools to sit in, endless drinks, night time shows were great, food was good. Lots of pluses! I reduced my overall to 4 stars because there were a few things with the room I disliked. The sliding bathroom door was broken and wouldn’t shut. My friend and I took turns showering while the other stayed out on the balcony. Also the bathroom sinks did not drain very well. But the beds were very very comfy, the balcony was soooo wonderful (we were on the top floor) and the view of the pool was very nice to wake up to, plus the trees were full of beautiful birds who like to sing in the early hours. Sipped some coffee from the lobby and relaxed on the balcony every morning. I would stay here again for sure!

I would go back. Staff was excellent

For example, A lot of the property seemed run down, for example most of the beach umbrellas were broken, beach towels were limited, tattered and torn.

No complaints
4.0 / 5.0
The all-inclusive buffets were average at best. The breakfast bacon and sausages were terrible. The French, Mexica Italian, and Steak House specialty restaruants were excellent with many seating times offered.
Having to be at one of the pools by 8 AM each day in order to get lounge seating was annoying as guests were "reserving spaces then leaving their chairs for hours. This was unacceptable to us. Fortunately we had a "swim-out" suite with private soaking pool and chaise chairs as an alternative, which was great.
Staff were all excellent - courteous and friendly. Bar service and quality was good.
Aside from the usual noisy pool guests during the day, the grounds were relatively quiet and quiet after 9 PM.
We would recommend this resort hotel to anyone.

Everything was perfect specially the adult pool only.
The only negative part for us was the people go put the books or towels in the pool chairs and leave for hours.
I don’t think people should be allowed to do that.

We were robbed in our room (480). We found out the phone was not working when tried to get help. We have not received any follow up and when we asked for the police they advised very strongly that their security will be handling and would make that call. They did a down loads of electric door lock and took pictures and downloaded the camera at our door. Have not received updates and no one answers resort phone.

Place is small the adult section which is good. Food was amazing no complain,Daniel the bartender was awesome make you sure visit him and the staff was the best can’t complain make sure you tip then they go out of there way to take care of you

The staff are exceptionally nice, very friendly and efficient. A la cart restaurants have improved since last year.
Our only complaint was the horribly loud karaoke events held nightly in the lobby of the Krystal Grand.
3.0 / 5.0
We just returned from 10 days at this property. Initially we didn’t really like it but it grew on us I think mostly due to the fantastic staff and service. I would say it’s an ok resort. If your looking for no frills it’s fine. The Hacienda pool has no ocean view which we adjusted to because the Krystal side does have the beach but the pool and surroundings were very crowded. We found the dining to be enjoyable but grew tired of the limited options after a couple of visits. A few additional options would help for a longer stay. The biggest issue and most annoying was the lack of chairs and towels. Everyday was a battle to find loungers unless you get up at 5:30 am to save a spot. I finally decided to make that sacrifice to ensure a nice spot. On vacation it’s not ideal and shouldn’t be necessary. There definitely was not enough chairs for the number of people there. Towels were only available in morning or late afternoon and if you didn’t grab the right away out of luck. I met a couple that had been there the year prior and the thought was that there were not as many chairs as the last visit and as they break they are not being replaced. Service at the pool and dining really was fantastic. We enjoyed a couples massage at the spa it was very enjoyable and a pleasant setting. The room was fine nothing special. Overall I would say it was priced accordingly but the chair issue was very aggravating.

Lovely, adult only section of Krystal Grand. Staff were friendly and professional. Our suite was spectacular. Location is convenient at the north end of the hotel zone.Only disappointment was the weather. Can't wait to go back
