Amazing hotel, very nice workers. Rooms are very nice. Pools are massive. Lots of activities throughout the day around the pool for kids. Entertainment in the lobby every night. Breakfast buffet is huge. Highly recommend. Cheap taxis to the town which wait outside the hotel. Can’t beat it. Best in Tenerife south

The hotel is oriented to people abroad and guiris to expend the holidays getting drunk in the swimming pool. The restaurant had a lot of possibilities to eat but everything was with low quality. Installations are enough for leisure.

Be careful when booking a terrace room you will get a balcony and not a terrace.
Terrible service and being ripped off paying more for a terrace and getting a balcony

Very nice and clean room.
Staff very helpful.
Very nice overall, the only downside is the location, you have to walk quite far to get to the next supermarket and the beach.

The best part was the swimming pool, the room and the breakfast buffet. However, I would improve the games room in which any of the machines worked. In addition, some of the staff were very nice but others could remember to smile and be nice to new guests

Could not get early check in. They insisted there was no other rooms & our room had been occupied and was being cleaned. This wasn't true as I went online & I could book several room straight away on their website. Also I went up to see where our room was & there were NO cleaners anywhere close near the room. When we finally got into the room the AC wasn't working at all. We reported this & went out for the afternoon. Returned in evening to find someone had been into the room to look at AC, but it still wasn't working. They did offer us to move room, so had to repack all our things and changed room. Atleast this room had a working AC. The rest of our stay was uneventful with no further problems. This is a great hotel, if you get a room with a working AC

Multiple buildings. Some rooms far from main building or reception. Swimming pool very crowded to smal for such big resort.

All inclusive was good overall but would have been better if the drinks allowed were consistent between all the staff. No complaints tho!

The pictures on the website were misleading, you don’t get loungers on the terrace, unless you book a duplex. There was only table with chairs, luckily we didn’t really need it for the stay. The suite was very comfortable with luxurious bathroom and safe. Very old fashioned hairdryer unfortunately. The breakfast food choices were excellent, could do with more drink choices however. All the coffees somehow ended up “cappuccino “, the juices were watered down and no Cava. The entry to the spa is 15 euro, however we didn’t get to go, as they close at 5pm, which of course during the day, you want to sunbathe outside. As we arrived late, we ate in the hotel Indian restaurant, which was a huge disappointment. The food and drinks were nice, however tiny portions like for a child, therefore hugely overpriced. Another night I wanted to get something quick to eat from their terrace bar, which was supposed to be open till 11pm, however it was already closed, when I got there at 8pm. There is a souvenir shop on site, where we bought sunbathing lotions. The location of the hotel is not as good as first thought. It is further to walk than anticipated, solid 30 minutes to Las Américas, downhill to go , but uphill to return. Los Cristianos is even further. The bus stop is about 15 minutes walk. Excellent location, if you have a car though, as it’s a quiet area in the middle of a golf course. I forgot my phone charger upon checkout, which somehow disappeared, but they gave me a different one.

We played golf which is within walking distance

Handiness to the golf course

I’ve stayed at the Gara Suite Hotel many times now it’s very convenient for the nearby golf course which we play in our visit.
Staff are all very friendly and helpful. Our room was always promptly cleaned which is how we like it.
Breakfast is also very nice with a selection that would meet most people’s palates.

Get breakfast only. Lunch and dinner buffet will cost you extra but if you love to eat alot ok. Also water or other drinks are not included in your dinner. Better spend dinner in other restaurants. Room was ok. Golf pitch view is nice.

Was great property especially the later than normal check out at midday compared to usual checkout timings.

The location wasn’t ideal unless you are prepared to pay for taxis every time you want to leave the resort.
Bed sheets wasn’t changed for the entire week we were there, and the floors were filthy.
We went bed and breakfast, enjoyed the breakfast, there was plenty of variety.
Aside of location and some cleaning issues, the staff were fantastic, entertainment was good and I would stay again if I didn’t want to leave the resort.
The “Spa” wasn’t fantastic with the pool being cold, the steam room barely functioning and kids splashing and playing, there wasn’t much room for relaxation.
The Indian restaurant was absolutely out of this world, incredible food. Although based in the reception it was a separate entity.

Nice and fast check in and check out, very big room and pool area, only stayed for 1 night, good value for money

Should be 2 stars, dated, dirty, insects, bad wifi, and no service.
Just stay away even if its free.

Absolutely stunning hotel. Fallen in love with it, we are definitely coming back in august, everything is clean, every one is so nice and it’s just amazing.

Nice hotel on a great golf course

Nice view from my room this year.I came here for the third time so im happy with Gara Suite. Only one think is that to reach the sea you need to walk a bit...a new passage trought the golf field coul be a solution. Anyway the hotel has good service and great costumer service.

Great place to stay just outside the main town nice stroll in taxi back 4-5 euros the hotel was spotless well looked after the food and drink was great plenty of choice so I don’t see how anybody can complain entertainment every night if you wanted to stay in was good, great staff for adults and for the kids always busy surrounded by a beautiful golf course outside excellent pool with plenty of sunbeds inside the gym and spa and indoor pool were also excellent and clean staff all amazing 10/10 from us will be staying again really enjoyed our time stay a bit longer 7 days not enough

Gara was perfect for a short and cheap stay for some winter sun!
Our room was dated but did the job. Was huge! Breakfast is great, albeit quite chaotic.
Would be handy to have spare cutlery to hand or staff around to ask for some but nothing major!

We loved this hotel. It was absolutely immaculate. The room was very large and the balcony outside was massive.
The towels were changed every day and the bedding 3 times over the period of a week. Our room was fully mopped out nearly every day. The pool was warm and the area hosed down and mopped daily.
There was lots of choices of food and it was all cooked very well. Your own choice of omelette cooked for you at breakfast and meats cooked freshly in the evenings, as well as lots of casseroles et cetera. the staff were all friendly and helpful. All in all it was a lovely stay and we would definitely go back.

I liked everything about it

Food was the worst I’ve ever had at any place I have ever been, food was always cold and poor quality. Cockroaches in the room, woke up covered in insect bites, rooms were never cleaned properly staff were rude and not helpful at all, entertainment was terrible. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone and would NEVER stay again. 0/10

We stayed at gara suites for 1 week we had breakfast with our stay but I would not recommend as I found an item freezing cold (like it hadn’t been defrosted properly) which should have been hot!
The rooms were lovely and clean but a little dated & they came to clean them everyday with fresh towels etc…
We never really stayed in for the hotel entertainment so couldn’t comment on that!
There is an Indian restaurant in the hotel which is absolutely gorgeous I would definately recommend!
The hotel isn’t in the centre of las americas but it was a lovely walk of approx 20 minutes! (Get them steps in)
The pool area was always spotless & the spa is a perfect touch!
We would stay again! X

***STRONGLY NOT RECOMMENDED***
As a frequent traveller and reviewer, I travel around the world for both business and leisure purposes throughout the year.
I understand that things can go wrong sometimes and if it happens I always try to speak to the hotel directly at first instance. But unfortunate on this occasion my experience was beyong shocking and I was amazed by how bad this hotel had been run!
To summarise the problem:
- We went up and down 6 times in total because the room key cards didnt work. Clearly there was an issue with the door of the room but no one offered to swap our room! We also had to wait for half an hour for the security to open the door using the little device at 2:30 in the morning!
- We booked a twin but was given a double bed to share. No apology given, just told us our request couldnt be met. My friend had to sleep on the sofa for the night which was beyond ideal!
- Restaurant was chaotic. Our dinner was part of the half board package but no clean table in the restaurant. Only 4 staff working to serve likely to be 400 guests. Buffet was a mess. After waiting for a while we decided to go somewhere else for food.
- Customer service was non-existent. Rceptionist was extremely rude, unprofessinal and unhelpful. Manager unavailable in the evening so was told to speak to him in the morning at 9am. He didnt arrive till 10:30am! And after I told him about all the issues we had, all he tried to give were the excuses.
Absolutely shocking!

Firstly, do not stay in this property if you are wanting to walk to the beaches etc. Due to there being only one exit, it adds on an extra 20 minute walk to your journey; this is because the surrounding area is a huge golf course and the hotel has no bridge to cut across. We had to use so many taxis because there wasn’t any bus stops around. Our room also had a tiny mini fridge that we couldn’t fit all our drinks and fruit in because it was so tiny. The staff on the front desk were not very friendly. And to make it worse on the 3rd night we stayed, there was a planned power outage meaning we had literally no electricity until 8:30pm. The only electricity was in the lobby so all the guests had to spend the evening there because the rooms were too dark to do anything in. We then asked for a refund on the night, where conveniently the manager was never around to approve. Expedia have tried multiple times to arrange a refund with the property but the property are refusing and saying it’s non refundable. Disgusting service and the night shouldn’t have been sold to anyone. Stay away from this hotel.

We stayed in Gara Suites for a week, half board during half term, in the duplex 1 bedroom apartment. First impressions were good with excellent service at check-in. The pool area is large with plenty of beds available. Unfortunately the apartment was a little disappointing. It was clean and tidy but lacked basic facilities including no iron/ironing board (which we had to rent from reception and only if there was one available) also just 3 English language tv channels (news and disney channel) but many other German, French channels which is odd because the Brits were by far the most guests there. There was a very small desk fridge just randomly placed on the floor in the living room. The living room furniture was very uncomfortable. The upstairs in the duplex was just weird. It had a double aspect with 2 large verandahs, 1 overlooking the pool on one side and the other overlooking the golf course on the other. There were 2 sun beds on the golf side but no table or chairs and no furniture whatsoever on the pool side(just seemed a complete waste of space). I carried 2 of the 4 dining table chairs upstairs from the living room to the veranda so we could sit and enjoy the view, which was fabulous over the golf course.
The food here was ok, edible but quite bland. Plenty of choice with very good service from the staff.
20 minutes walk into town, just be aware that you’ll walk past ladies of the night as you go! Enjoyed our stay here but definitely not a 4 star hotel.

Overall the hotel is good
The only issue we had was having to get late check outs you need to ask on the day and also they don’t do late check outs on a Saturday
Our hotel room there was dried blood on the walls and doors which really ain’t ideal and we had to veg for clean towels!

Great hotel but a bit out of the way. We asked staff to check our mini fridge and the girl said, it’s a mini fridge so it’s not meant to keep stuff cold, what is the point the ? She said someone would come check but no one did. ❤️

Lots of issues with room and reception completely uninterested and rude. Patio door won’t close and we had to wait 3 hours in the room for it to be fixed. Reception saw no issue with door on ground floor room not closing and we had to go complain multiple times. Room phone and fridge broken. Room phone not fixed so had to go to reception repeatedly to complain. Took 2 days to replace broken fridge, when I asked the bar for ice to chill drinks they told me I could go buy it in the shop even though fridge broken. There was lots of people complaining at reception each day about broken AC. No entertainment around the pool and very very poor in evening. Food was decent, only positive

Air conditioning was broken , room not cleaned everday. staff not helpful have to argue with everything and extremely slo2 service minimum have to wait 20 min to speak to a staff

It was a good experience overall.

Gorgeous hotel with decent rooms and a lovely family friendly pool.
Only disappointing aspects was the entertainment was not so good and not very English friendly
Also the alcohol drinks included with the all inclusive are very watered down after having 15 drinks in 5 hours we were sober. They don’t allow you to have named alcohol, this part was very disappointing as we had payed for this. After checking out on last day every hotel usually allows you to still be all inclusive until you leave however when we checked out at 12pm we was not allowed lunch or drinks anymore therefore we could not eat as we didn’t have time to go out before flight. Staff are also slow at attending to your service

Amazing hotel. Friendly staff and service. Would definitely recommend and come back. Really clean and room was great. Only bad point i would like to mention is that during breakfast on one morning, i noticed that the staff mixed scrambled egg with ham into the the container with just the scrambled eggs. So i would definitely say to be careful when you eat if you want to avoid ham or any sort of meat. Otherwise, no other complaints

It’s the perfect place if you are going Siam park but away from all the beer part of Tenerife
You ll need a taxi all the time and limited in Entertainment

Hotel overall was gorgeous, we just had the breakfast included which was really good.. lots of choice 😀 staff around the hotel were also really friendly, especially Kevin on the reception desk!
