Pros S Hotel is a beautiful facility, the rooms are gorgeous and the decorations are lovely and represents Jamaica and I loved that. We loved having access to the beach which was gorgeous and we had no problem getting beach chairs. Staff was extremely courteous and friendly with the exception of one staff member however people are human so cannot let one bad apple spoil the bunch Cons I do understand the rule of no smoking on the beach however the smoking areas are set up if you are a child on timeout, a little bench in a corner, if you are a smoker you too want to enjoy your trip and there should be a full smoking area where you can also lounge and enjoy relaxing. Same issue in the hotel and we were also told we could not smoke on the balcony which is crazy. Again they should have an area set up by the pool for smokers and no smokers alike, in the land of ganja how stupid Breakfast was regular not bad typical options however lunch options were poor with the exception of roots rock restaurant, we ate out on the pier most days. Room service closes at 11pm, hotel entertainment boring Lastly for a luxury hotel the drink options were horrible, all this money we pay and they have no premium liquor choices or COCONUT water on an Island resort. The top liquor you could get was dewars and Smirnoff how ridiculous, again we went off the resort to pier1 and paid for better choices. I gave it an 8/10, I definitely cannot see how this hotel gets 10/10. Please step your game up

I hope my honest review stays on the site because in my humble opinion this hotel is rated too high! There were a couple things that really disappointed me about the property 1. They are not responsive whatsoever. We attempted to upgrade our room and they told us several times they had to get the " prices together and get back to us". In the end they never got back to us with the info so I gave up. I also attempted to schedule the poolside breakfast as a surprise for my husbands birthday. I told them it was a surprise and that it was his birthday and they never got back with me and we ended up eating somewhere off the property. 2. The staff. This was my 3rd time in Jamaica and this staff was the least friendly group of people I ever encountered. They were not rude but definitely were unlike any staff I have dealt with at other resorts. The vibe was just off. 3. The resort puts no effort into the ambiance. The whole place had a boring feel. I think they rely heavily on the places that are close to the resort to create the vibe. Pier 1 on the beach was fun but not a part of the hotel. The smoking policy for Mary Jane annoyed me as well. There is no smoking on the property with a "timeout" like smoking section located on the beach and they close the beach at night. We had one hiccup with the "buffet" on Wednesday (there was no buffet and we were offered select entrees) outside of that the food was very good. The beach is beautiful but I probably wouldn't stay here again.

Property was beautiful. Loved the pool area and the beach. Our room was very clean and had an amazing view. The water at Doctors Cove Beach was crystal clear. Food was very good. Activities are lacking so make sure you want to just relax and not do much. Area around the property is a tad sketchy but never felt unsafe on the property grounds or beach.

My first time at S Hotel and it was disappointing. I want to understand that it is considered a “boutique” hotel but it did not give what I needed it to give. We arrived to the Hotel with our luggage in hand all the way to front desk, yes, you heard that right. We did not get greeted with a cold towel and/or a welcome drink. No one to help us with our luggage either. At Check in, we were upgraded because of my VIP Access. Food experience, we were there for 2 full night and wanted to experience 2 of 3 of their restaurants. However, only 1 restaurant a night opened per night, we did not have a choice which restaurant to eat. JAMRock, was delicious. The seafood restaurant, which we did not want to even try but didn’t have a choice because Roots was closed, was disappointing. We did not like food whatsoever. At JAMRock the lobster and ribeye was delicious. Monday morning, we attempted to go to the pool in the roof and the staff said it was closed off for another guest. So we had no other choice but to go to the main pool that was filled with dead ants and bees. When we complained, the pool attendant went over to clean. Now for my staff experience, most of the staff were friendly, however, I did have a run in with a lady who was covering the regular lady at the cafe. Attitude was awful. I had asked if they had beef pattys and she pointed over to the labels and said “does it say on the labels if there is” Honestly, I was ready to go back to Secrets after the first night.

The S Hotel is average in my opinion. The staff wasn't friendly. The rooms aren't too clean. I made a reservation for the restaurant for two nights and one day was my birthday. The reservation was canceled accidentally. I waited two hours to see if they could squeeze me in. Other birthdays and anniversaries were celebrated at the restaurants but mines wasn't because the lady at front desk not only canceled my reservation but also didn't note my birthday as she said she would. The restaurant that didn't require a reservation said I couldn't come in with a bathing suit & cover-up but remaining days there, when I'd go for breakfast, most people had on bathing suits. There is nothing to do on this resort. The entertainment is very boring and mediocre. People sat on the cabana outside of our room that was reserved for our room. They left their cups there as well. The floors had permanent stains on them. Housekeeping just walks in the room after knocking. If you're doing adult activities, you'll be embarrassed. They don't allow you to respond. There is no privacy or doors in the room. The only door is the toliet. The drinks are good. But the staff wasn't friendly until the day I left and person at the front desk was the reason I'm providing 3 stars. My spouse and I was so bored & we ended up arguing. Margaritaville was closed and we tried to walk to the casino but was scared bcuz so many people followed us and approached us to buy things. Unfortunately, I would not return.

Our experience was ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! At first it felt too small, but then the coziness overwhelmed us and we loved it! The ONLY thing I would change was to have entertainment from 9pm til midnight, everything ended at 10pm and everyone was sitting around pretty much bored! Everything is literally "right there" which was a great thing for us! Excellent for couples who have difficulty walking 💯! The staff provided EXCELLENT service and friendliness all around! The pool and beach was clean and there was always available seating. Soooo I want to give a Special Thanks for the Love and Friendliness of the following employees (they were ALL fabulous, but some were extra "SPECIAL") Kemona - a server at the buffet for lunch and dinner, Her SMILE lights up the room....a truly genuine lady! Shemeka - a server at the buffet for breakfast, so friendly and happy and ALWAYS kept our Mimosas filled! Temele - bartender, her energy lights up the room and she takes care of everyone, no ones drinks were ever empty!..conversations with her were great! Fabian - towel booth...greeted us with the happiest greetings every morning, always made us smile! O'Neil - beach side towel guy...hustled his butt off making sure EVERYONE had clean towels on their chairs and enjoying the beach...very kind hardworking young man! Denroy - bartender...drinks were always the best! Toney - lifeguard...if you need to book anything, find him! He will take care of you and such a nice guy! Be back soon

S Hotel is a class act, from the moment you enter until the time you leave you feel special, special, special. I chose this hotel for it's easy accessibility from the airport and it's boutique style flair. I was not disappointed. I really enjoyed how smooth it was to check in and clean. The friendly staff was icing on the cake. Our room was amazing and perfectly located as an ocean view I was expecting. Additionally we didn't have to leave our room to enjoy the "best" of entertainment. Actually the entertainment here was so much better than the selection of restaurant and drinks. If the opportunity every presents itself I will stay right here again. Thank you S Hotel. We even purchased towels to help makethe memories last.

My wife and I spent 4 nights and 5 days at this hotel. We arrived at 2 PM, even though check-in was at 3 PM, and unfortunately, we didn’t get into our room until 4:35 PM, which was disappointing. The staff didn’t apologize, adding to our frustration. The room was clean and looks just like the website . As a 5-star hotel, I expected a wider variety of food at the buffet, but one night there was only one type of rice available. Given the hotel’s small size, the restaurants were often fully booked. We did dine at a restaurant on the 5th floor one night, but it didn’t meet our expectations. One staff member had a poor attitude, prompting us to leave after our entrée. The poolside experience was average. We had to get our own drinks from the bar each time, and the quality varied depending on who made them. We also encountered a large cockroach outside our room, which was alarming enough for me to take a picture. One evening, my wife was told to change her dress because it was deemed too revealing. This was confusing, as we later saw another guest in a similar outfit enjoying her meal. Excursions are extremely pricey for tourists! The highlights of our trip included the sip and paint event, water aerobics, learning paths and the great DJ at Club S. However, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to young people, as it felt rather dull.
