Loved our stay at Nosara Beach Hotel. Great location and staff were so kind.

Overall the Hotel experience was very positive- great views, staff, food, and access to facilities. The rooms are a little dated and need some small improvements.

This was a beautiful, well maintained resort. Our room was immaculate. The location couldnt have been nicer. We stayed in the Jungle Room - just beautidul. We were able to see a family of howler monkeys.

The staff was very nice and did their best to help / accommodate us. Kids had fun. Restaurant next t door LaLuna is awesome. Guiones beach is literally 10 minutes away. Monkeys come for breakfast :)

A really funky place, steps to two beautiful beaches. The staff is very friendly, and the view we had from the room was stunning. The restaurant at the hotel did not serve dinner, and even though it's within walking distance to many restaurants, the roads are really not designed for walking (narrow dirt roads with busy traffic) which is a shame. We also had quite a few big ants crawling in the bedroom and bathroom.

Nosara Beach Hotel is a unique property where you experience a real connection to the Costa Rica pacific coast. Very intimate but with a lovely swimming pool and short walk to two very different beaches. Breakfast everyday was delicious and served by Elias, a young man who exemplifies the pura vida philosophy.

This was our second time at the property and we had a good experience. The room was great (spacious, well maintained and has a BEAUTIFUL balcony view). The property in general is so beautiful and has stunning view points. Pool area is great and clean. The restaurant was pretty good (Breakfast was always good and also good lunch options). The staff in general was again great.
The only downside of our stay was being bitten by one of their dogs that they were letting loose at the property. That was definitely not a great experience especially having kids in our group. After my complaint, at least for the remaining part of our stay, they kept the dog that attacked me (and a number of other guests) tight up. If wasn’t for this episode it would’ve been a Great experience.

We loved staying at Nosara Beach Hotel! The staff was extremely friendly, and the property is beautiful. The beaches were very nice. Food was delicious. Rooms were nice and spacious, and they did such a nice job refreshing the rooms for us each day. My only complaint is the thin walls which allow noise to carry very easily. We had some noisy young kids next to us that woke us up early in the mornings. But thin walls are to be expected for a historic hotel. We would return!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Nosara Beach Hotel! Excellent, caring staff, beautiful room and accommodations. Everything was perfect from the friendly staff, amazing breakfast options and a view that can't be beat. Our room was clean, comfy bed and nice seating area with small kitchenette. Highly recommend to anyone traveling - singles, couples, families to the Nosara area.

A marvel of architecture.Beautiful pool, a 3 minute walk to two beautiful beaches and restaurants..Exceptionally friendly staff, delicious breakfast.I would return in a heartbeat Side note.. it is a tropical Island so you may get a tropical small native visitor to your room ,If harmless ants or spiders give you anxiety choose a Hilton or some other generic hotel.
Also bring cash for fun excursions you can arrange at the front desk.

The best part is the hotel being right on the beach. The ocean view from the room was truly breathtaking! The breakfast was excellent! And the beach and the water were amazing! The private access to the 2 beaches were super convenient! And the best part is - the walkable distance to catch a sunset dinner at La Luna. La Luna is a gem of a restaurant, and the staff at the Nosara is helping to reserve a spot. Truly a great experience overall!

There is ongoing construction going on around the property. This is noisy and there are workers all around. Our first room had an extreme amount of ants and we asked to be relocated. The second room was more updated in style but the same type of room. So its clear half are renovated and the other half are not. Breakfast was good each day. The rooms are very basic and not constructed or sealed very well. The location is beautiful but there is just a lack of ambiance and extra effort here. No music in any location. No information on the area or property despite being a "historic hotel". Just felt like it was missing all the finishing touches of a nice hotel.

I believe it’s the only hotel on Nosara beach. Absolutely amazing location. Beautiful beach. I will say the current is a little strong. Be careful swimming.

Quiet, quaint and quirky! Breathtaking views! During our stay we enjoyed most pool hours to ourselves. The rooms and property are clean and well kept. Playa Pelada and Playa Guiones are a couple minutes walk away and both beaches are visible from locations on the property. Downtown Guiones is a quick 10 minute drive. Alexsander and Vanessa serve up a delicious breakfast each morning. The pool and breakfast view of the Pacific is non-negotiably the best in Nosara! Howler monkeys are easy to see and visit the pool and breakfast restaurant! Nosara Beach Hotel is a decision you won't regret!

The hotel is very beautiful. Stuff was absolutely fantastic. However something really spoiled our stay at this hotel. The curtains on the windows are practically not existent. There are tiny white curtains on the windows (which I assume is part of beach property design and style) but it completely screwed our schedule (we are traveling with our 3 year old) the sunrise in Costa Rica is at 5.20 am however at 4.20 am it was very bright in the room. Both days we were awake way earlier than we wanted due to so much light in the room. We have a total of two weeks in Costa Rica and we never had such issue anywhere else we stayed. Luckily we only had two nights in nosara hotel. So I would totally rate this property at 5 star but I needed to mention this. A lot of families who travel with small kids and try to keep the schedule will have difficulty doing it. Blackout curtains are a must in any hotel!

I demand a refund. The reception closed at 8 pm and the army ants crawled out from behind the mirror and literally the mattress at 9 pm. Plus the walls are paper thin and could hear the neighbors family activities. We received no response and ran away to another hotel for safety - I washed army ants out of my hair and clothes.

Wow, this is a one of a kind experience. Within three minutes of your room there are two distinctively different beaches. These beaches are almost void of any other people. Nosara is extremely remote and has a tiny population. The water is beautiful one of the two beaches has some nice waves. The other beach is a great swimming beach. There are even shells for people who like to go shelling the ArchiText year, Greek or Moorish in design is incredibly unique the room categories are diverse. when I got to my room, I complained about not being able to see the ocean in the beach at which point in time the manager sent a crew of gardeners with chainsaws to clean out the brush and expose the most amazing view I have traveled the world seen some beautiful beaches, lived on Long Island, land of some of the nicest beaches in United States, been to Hawaii 20 times. But for me, the lack of commercialization, people, make this a true, isolated utopia.

There is really no other hotel like the Nosara Beach in Costa Rica. It has an exceptional location on the point dividing two incredible beaches. The hotel itself is a one of a kind structure that melds the Greek Island of Santorini with a modern artist fever dream to create a sculpture as much as a building. The separate plunge pool suites are like staying in an island cave house. The staff could not have been more friendly and helpful, special mention for Esperanza who took great care of us. Just a few steps away from the exceptional Luna restaurant, and the on site breakfast was excellent. Take the canopy tour offered by the hotel, it is breathtaking. And visit the Coyol restaurant in the mountains for top notch dining experience. All of these are under the same management and the experience is frictionless. Highly recommended.

The Hotel is iconic and very cool. The location is secluded and has great access to two beaches. It was luxurious and quiet. The food was awesome. The service as well.
I loved it and would certainly come back!

Great place to stay located right between 2 great beaches. Stayed in 2 different rooms due to availability. We are a family with 2 older kids. We stayed in a 2 bed beach front and a double ocean view. Both were great but the double ocean view was very spacious with great views and perfect for a family. Clean and well decorated.
The staff were really friendly and very helpful with arranging activities - surf lessons, riding and restaurant suggestions. Fulfilled a bucket list dream of galloping along a beach. Thanks especially to Daniel for all his help with activities.
La Luna restaurant which is owned by the hotel is awesome. Chill and beautiful with great food. Get there for sunset.
Although parts of the hotel don’t look quite finished, the pool is great and there are games tables etc. Would go there again. Kids liked it and the overall vibe.

There are not enough words to describe how amazing this hotel is. The service was the best I have ever encountered!! The hotel is beautiful, the room was stunning, spacious, a big, clean, comfortable bed with just the right amount of amenities. The pool was sparkling clean and pretty. The grounds are lush and wonderful. The surfing lesson we took through the hotel was so great! The food at the restaurant was delicious.
