We’re so happy we chose Casa Caldeireiros for our stay in Porto! We arrived over an hour early and informed Diogo and Sonia, who were able to accommodate an early check-in at no extra charge. Sonia was amazing! She was extremely friendly and welcoming, and provided a lot of useful information about the property and surrounding area. The room and property were very clean and smelled lovely and fresh. The property is well located and easily accessible by car or walking. There were plenty of nearby options for food, drinks and entertainment. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Porto! Thank you so much Sonia & Diogo for a wonderful stay ♥️

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful hotel in Porto, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. From the moment I arrived, Sonia, the host, went above and beyond to make my stay perfect. Her warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail truly made me feel at home. The hotel itself is charming, clean, and ideally located, making it easy to explore the beautiful city. Every morning, I was greeted earlier in the day, and Sonia was always ready to offer helpful recommendations for local restaurants, sights, and hidden gems. The apartment is close enough to a lot of the sights but also far enough from the noise and large gathering of tourists. The room is well spaced, with great ammenties and superb bathroom. If you're looking for a place where you’ll be treated like family, with top-notch service and comfort, I highly recommend this hotel. Sonia’s kindness and care made this stay unforgettable! Can’t wait to return!

We had a great time in Casa dos Caldeireros, which is located right in the city center. Sónia was an excellent host and gave good recommendations on places to visit. There was complimentary port wine waiting in the room when we arrived, which was a nice touch. Our room Namorados had a beautiful view of the city, couldn't get enough of it. Wish we can come back one day!

Characterful room with lovely view of the cathedral plus large terrace (outdoor furniture needs a good wipe clean though!). Very central and fitted with useful kitchenette. Porto is not coping well with the large influx of tourists so it was great to come back to my comfortable room which was a quiet oasis. Sonia the on-site manager was extremely warm, friendly and helpful.

Such a great place to stay to explore Porto with ease and what a beautiful morning and evening view. The Casa is super conveniently located -- in downtown Porto, close to Ponte de Luis, the plaza, waterfront, a bus ride away from Matosinhos, and just by Sao Bento and other metros. While you might not hear right away from property management, it is worth following up and calling. Once there, Sonia is absolutely lovely and incredibly helpful! We hope our next stay in Porto will be back here!

This is a small hotel. The hostess, Sonia, is an absolute gem.. she couldn’t do enough to help and has lots of suggestions for what to see and do around Porto. Beds were comfortable, tea , coffee and a welcome free glass of port provided when we arrived. Very close to most of what you want to see. The hills of Porto are a challenge but well worth it for a wonderful travel experience. Would most definitely stay here again. There is a laundromat and a little supermarket within 5 minutes of the hotel and the Sao Bento railway station and metro is about 10 minutes walk.

Great communications prior to trip. Luggage store prior to and after checkout. Sonia is amazing - so very friendly and helpful with great recommendations. Room was just what we needed - beds very comfortable (better than my own at home), everything spotlessly clean. Sufficient kitchen equipment for what we needed. Sonia even gave us a lesson on the induction hob as we have never used one before. Would not hesitate to return. Lovely trip.

Nice location within walking distance of many things. As with much of Lisbon there is a lot of refurbishment work so there is some inconvenience when using pull along luggage. Staff were very friendly and wonderfully polite. The actual hotel is in two separate buildings. Breakfast is in a bijou room and quite intimate with the other guests. However it is pleasant and sets you up for the day.

What a unique, beautiful place with exposed stones and bricks and a fantastic view! It's in a great location in the city. Just walk out the door and you're in the midst of everything, but when you're inside it's quiet. Sonia was fantastic. She's an excellent communicator and was very helpful and made the stay easy and fun. We'd definitely stay there again!

What a gem. Sonia is amazing. Contacted as even before we reached Porto to confirm our arrival time which felt welcoming. She made sure we had dinner reservations and gave us many tips and recommendations. The property was clean, comfortable and had everything we needed. Location is central to allow walking to all the areas we wanted to see. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property

When we arrived, we were told we needed to pay in cash. If this information had been given to us, we would have brought the euros from the States. We did not have a bank card with us. I was stressed when I was supposed to be enjoying Porto. I emailed Expedia and was told in the chat that someone would get back to me but I did not get a response from Expedia. I am not using Expedia anymore, this is the second time they have been unresponsive to a lodging issue.

We’ve experienced such a fantastic stay at the cozy accommodation! The host was kindest and most friendly ever. She gave so many tips by a city map with hand-writing notes and in conversation to make the stay enjoyable. It was so touching and we found the atmosphere gentle. We’d love to recommend much, on the other hand hope there’ll be a room for our next stay.

Very nice and clean with modern amenities but old world charm. Great communication with the property manager who let us on site, got our suitcases out of our car and carried all our stuff up. Amazing! We even had a bottle or port wine in our room for us! The location is very central to access the entire city and tourist areas. Parking is the only problem as is in all historic large cities. It cost us 58 euros for two days In the parkade across the street which was safe and super close! I would Highly recommend staying at this property!

We had a delightful 4 night stay. The property was such good value and Sonia was absolutely brilliant. Helped us with routes through the city, restaurant booking and arranging taxis. She never stops working ! We stayed on the first floor and our room was spotlessly clean. Nice little balcony and everything you need for a city break. Porto was beautiful too but is very hilly. The property is only 5 minutes from the main thoroughfare and 10 to the river. May take you longer to get back. Overall a fantastic value for money trip with the best hostess in Sonia.

The view out the window was incredible and so peaceful on the terrace. Great location! Sonia was so helpful with recommendations. A note to anyone who has heavy suitcases or bad knees. The stairs are incredibly steep in this building and very narrow. Please keep that in mind when deciding which level to stay on.

We were very pleased with the property and Sonia was amazing to work with. She gave us good tips on site seeing, restaurants, and assisted with COVID requirements for our flight. She scheduled our airport transportation and made everything easy. The view was amazing!
