Not as good as previous stay in this establishment. Room (3) this time was uncomfortably compact. Nowhere to put toiletries in bathroom. Very cramped room and ensuite in shabby state of repair.

I stayed in the lodge part of the hotel. This is a separate building from the main hotel. It was absolutely beautiful. Best bathroom ever. Thank you. 😊

Room was really hot. A fan didn't help that was on a table. Unable to open windows much due to security device.
WiFi didn’t work.
Bed was comfy though.
Tv in a weird position.

We checked in to the family room as mentioned but noticed a smell which we initially ignored as we put the luggage down and went out to explore the place. When we returned that evening the smell had got worst so we opened the windows but after a while it became unbearable so we went to reception and informed them. The lady came with me checked it and immediately asked us to pack so we can be moved to a better room which was newer and in very good condition. She ensured we were happy before she left. However we could not find the TV remote in the room but chose not to mention as we were thankful for their service already.

The location was great, we were in the annexe. We had issues with the key cards a couple of times but it was sorted by reception staff. The room was clean but tired and in need of repair. The beds were uncomfortable and noisy.

Used as a stopover for 1 night, the room was as expected and all was good, however The room could do with being refurbished, especially the smelly bathroom.

Friendly staff. Helpful, polite. Got upgraded as hotel quiet as its early in the new year. Room spacious, great shower. Could do with a splash of paint, but they are doing some work around the hotel currently.

We enjoyed our family break in this hotel. It was just what we needed, simple, clean, comfortable bedroom. We found the staff helpful and welcoming and we noticed their attention to details, for example we stayed two night and the forst night we came woth drinks and snacks and we filled up the bathroom bin with all the rubbish from the snacks so the next day when the staff cleaned the room we noticed that they had brought an extra bin and extra glasses. The only negative point we found was that there was a smell of sewage in the entrance and in the staircase of the annexe leafing to our room but thankfully there was no bad smell inside the room. We had breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant and we found it rather good value for the money especially the breakfast. The restaurant and the hotel are situated right by the beach which was brilliant and allowed us to go for walks along the beach.

Main hotel building is looking "tired" but signs of work in progress. Stayed in the annex opposite which was very clean & tidy. In a ground floor room adjacent to entrance so some noise. Other problem was ashtray just outside room window on the street.

The hotel room was amazing and spotless.

What a gem! We booked this last minute and everything from the booking process to our daily interactions with the lovely and very helpful staff at the Hatfield lodge hotel went smoothly and they were very accommodating with regards to all aspects of our stay. My children and i have allergies and their restaurant went the extra mile to ensure we all were able to enjoy our meals safely and the kids didn't miss out on dessert. Our servers Cate and Ella introduced the kids to the resident cat Freddy and made our dining experience very enjoyable by offering the kids colouring packs and just simply talking to us. The breakfast was delicious and there were lots of choices for even the pickiest of eaters. The hotel is walking distance from the beach (2 minutes from the restaurant) as well as walking distance from local shops and the high road. We will definitely be revisiting on our next trip.

This property is a stone throw from the beautiful sandy beach and offers great food and drink.

Choose this place as it had parking on site, however there wasnt any available for my van when I arrived for 2 day stay. Keycard didnt work so twice I had to go to the other hotel and get it sorted. Had ground floor room which was very noisey on sat night (loads of kids in KFC carpark making a noise all night) Not great when I had to be up at 5am for work

Not enough plug sockets ,need child locks on windows upstairs , kettle was dirty ,plus you couldn’t fill the kettle from the sink ,there was a bit of a step going into the room ,which we keep tripping up on ,no mind the step sign
Couldn’t check in until 3 but states on your web site 1 ,toilet to close to the door ,and toilet roll holder the wrong side keep coming off

I had booked to stay in the lodge, but wa instead given a sea view room in the main hotel. This was OK as the room was nice. But I would not have been happy if I had been given any other type of room.
Breakfast on the first day. Gave them my room number and then nobody came to my table. So after 20 minutes I walked out.
But Lowestoft has turned into a ghost town. Not great.

Room was not great, toilet would only flush sporadically and the shower was impossible to use due to the hose having splits in it causing water to go everywhere.
My autistic daughter also got locked in the bathroom as the lock got jammed. Called reception and cant fault the chap who came over to help but the attitude of his manager on the phone wasnt great, he clearly didnt care as long as he didnt have to come and help. No apologies offered or anything!
Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Single bed was on wheels and my daughter woke up on the other side of the room. The double bed was like a rock and we woke up in agony.
We also ate in the restaurant on the first night and waited a ridiculously long time for food which was unpleasant when it finally came. To add insult to injury the food also made us feel quite unwell that night!
All in all a calamity of a stay and wont be returning and will be making a complaint

We stayed in the lodge, very simple accommodation but that was all we needed. Slightly over priced, but it was exceptionally clean.

I will never stay here again. A terrible hotel and I stayed in the lodge which isn’t fit for use. No option to change due to fully booked.
3.0
Room was very small and very hot and stuffy you could not have the windows open due the noise of the traffic and the seagulls
5.0
Clean, simple room. We were happy enough. Only 2 plug sockets, one of which was for the fan. No sockets bed end so if I stay again will bring an extension lead. But still, we enjoyed our stay.

This is in a great location for the beach and a short walk to either pier and town centre. The staff are amazing and very attentive. The bar and the restaurant verlook the sea and is a great spot on a hot summers evening to enjoy a G & T.
Only minor negative is the KFC next door, which itself isnt an issue, but the staff there forget they have neighbours when they are closing up in the evening.

The hotel called 2 hours before we were due to say that there was plumbing issues and no other rooms available and initially wanted to cancel our room. We were happy to stay in the room on the understanding that we weren’t able to have a bath or shower. Room itself had a broken door handle to the bathroom, bath was missing part of its side panel. There was mould behind the toilet. Windows were weird - double windows and only able to open the internal window which allowed for no air to come in! It was one of the hottest nights and the little fan provided also gave no relief.

Nice view from window to see the beach and windturbines

Arrival was confusing the carpark doesn't give any indications it is for the best western or the lodge.
Booked in at the Hotel and had a very pleasant greeting from the hotel reception by Jade with a speedy check-in.
The lodge is across the road and once I managed to open the front door proceeded to my room (8), room was average to small and fairly dark with a small bathroom with shower.
The room didn't look or feel very clean stains on surfaces and bits on the floor, the wallpaper was ripped and the bathroom door had a hole in it near the bottom.
evening meal:
This was a little strange but covid is playing a hand in this, not really clear a restaurant exists it all looks like bar area but once I got that cleared up by asking a passing member of staff I got seated. Menu was ok, ordering and delivery of my meal was good and the staff were very friendly (I even witnessed a young member of staff offering to read the menu to an elderly couple, excellent work). Hunters chicken was massive and I didn't finish it.
My night:
The room was very hot and only option to cool it was opening small windows on to some flat roofs, I'm a light sleeper and having an air conditioning unit outside my window wasn't the best option. about 4-5 hours sleep I wasn't impressed.
Breakfast:
Cooked breakfast to order as the buffet was off (covid) but sat outside in the sun was really good, I will try the hotel next time.
Thanks to Jade and the south African guy for having a good chat

We stayed in the hatfield lodge wouldnt recommend room 1 as it has a problem with condensation, and the main heater wasnt working, there was a small heater in the room but it was not adequate,
