Check in was ok. There was no one at the desk but I popped into the adjoining restaurant and they sent someone down within a few minutes.
The first impression was good. The room and shower were well presented.
Sound
The hotel is situated next to a cross roads. Even with the window closed, the sound of motorbikes was loud. Since the cross road requires traffic to stop, I think the sound of motorbikes accelerating was very loud.
It was a warm night so we slept with the window open. A large fan was provided, but unfortunately it was broken. With the window open, traffic was even louder.
Our room was a twin. It was on the top floor and the window was one of those velux windows in the roof. But there was no blind or curtain, so there was nothing to stop the light coming in. It was a good thing we had sleeping masks!
During the night some other guests came up to our floor and were talking and we found it very loud and disruptive; this woke us up.
The room and the bedding and towels were all clean :)
Comfort
Note that the are spoiled by the memory foam mattress we have at home. The twin singles in our room were ok. They were the old spring-style bouncy mattresses, could have been worse, could have been better. The biggest problem was the bed frames, which creaked loudly.
Our perception of value could be skewed because there was a festival on this weekend and many places were already booked up. From what we could tell, the price we paid was midrange for a "normal" hotel.

Comfortable private room

Great staff

The building is very clean and nice. The car park looks like it's getting some much-needed surfacing work maybe? Staff were very pleasant. Unfortunately the fire alarm went off a few times in the night and was left going for 10 mins (false alarms). I suspect this was due to a particular guest with no self-control smoking in her room rather than anything the staff did wrong but still it meant I had a broken night's sleep before a long work day. Otherwise everything was very nice. The location is great - a nice quiet area but just 25 mins to Sheffield City Centre. There's a medium sized co-op just down the road for anything you need.
4.3
Decent location but nothing much around the hotel if you do not have a car.
4.3
Property at a traffic light controlled junction so consequently a bit noisy but sleep not disturbed. Modern and clean, restaurant not used so can't comment on service or menu.
4.3
The staff were friendly, the room emmaculate and the bed is really comfy. Quiet surroundings and really lovely rooms set it appart from bog standard budget hotel.
4.3

We only had an over night stay but the staff were very welcoming and friendly, room was clean. We had breakfast in the restaurant next morning before leaving and could not fault anything from the service to the meal itself excellent.

Property was easy to find value for money ,staff so friendly and happy.
Some other guests were loud so could do with signs saying please if in late please respect other guests.
4.3
Very good price. Clean well presented
4.3
Basic budget hotel that is in the process of being renovated
4.3
Snoring from next door, walls are paper thin.
Light that stays on in the bathroom & illuminates the sleeping area for what seems like atleast 20 mins.
Shower that drips & makes a noise after shut off
White towels don’t have much fluff.
4.3
Value for money, room ok, but road noisy as it is near M1 junction.

I stayed here as I needed to be close to Worksop for an early morning start. Checkin was flawless and efficient. The room was a room, it had a bed, basic TV, a separate bathroom area with toilet, sink and shower. Renovation work was going on but not on the night/morning I stayed. For the low price I paid, it perfectly met its needs.
4.3
Enjoyed it

Room was ok ,BUT bar and resturant closed ,nothing about this on web site ,very dissapointed

Avoid this hotel. Check-in ends at 9PM and this info is not upfront! Nobody will bother to text you or call you on your phone and will simply drop you a perfunctory mail about the check-in closing time. Too bad if you miss it. They will take your money even if you weren't allowed to check-in and stay!
We booked this hotel on the very day we intended to check-in. Within a minute or so we received a confirmation mail from hotels.com of confirmation of booking. Being on the road the whole day on holiday we didn't think it necessary, nor were we able to check our mail further. When we were near Chesterfield at about 9.30PM, I opened my mail to check the address of the property, which is when I saw that there were a couple of mails from The Reinshaw mentioning that the check-in will close at 9PM and then another mail informing us that the check-in had now closed. We had to find another hotel for the night at the last minute. When I contacted hotels.com next morning informing that I didn't know check-in closes at 9PM and we never got to stay at The Reinshaw, we were told by hotels.com after 2 days that after multiple tries they weren't able to obtain an approval from the property manager for a refund for the unused night and so no refunds would be made. Really upset with The Reinshaw and hotels.com. Information like this about check-in closing time should be in bold lettering right on the top and somebody should have the decency to contact you on the phone.

Shower wasn’t very good, very slow water pressure

Perfect for one night budget stop-over plus the bonus of an excellent restaurant with excellent service

When reception informs you there is a problem with the heating and there wont be any hot water until 08.30, that doesn't sink in until you get to your room. One small lukewarm radiator when its' snowing out side isn't much help, when the room is already cold.
We have stayed here before and had no problems, but this time was a real shock to the system.
Things like putting a small eclectic heater with extra bedding wouldn't have gone a miss. Even the duvet was a summer one.
Yes my wife did sleep fully clothed, and it wasn't until the morning that the room warmed up and we could have a hot shower.
I will contacting The Renishaw myself and will see what they have to say.

I would have paid a lot more for a room like this, really clean with a modern bathroom. Plenty of space and well looked after and clean

Great staff very friendly and helpful, good food ,it was a shame that the place was cold ,

The room is exactly what you'd expect for the price and bed was super comfy.
Only 2 things I'd say is 1) would be nice to have a mirror in the bedroom bit not just in the bath room. It steamed up after a shower and couldn't see anything in it for a while so an option to have a mirror to actually use after a shower would be nice.
2) there was a function in the bar on the Saturday night. When I arrived I was told about it and told it may be noisy is that OK. I appreciate the heads up but if it wasn't OK it was a bit late to find out as I had no option. If they knew there would be excessive noise and the chance it would impact my stay it would have been nice to know before hand so I had the option to go somewhere else if I wanted a quite nights sleep.
The above two are more comments than complaints and all round was a decent stay.
