This is a nice property with beautiful views. However, it is very difficult to find the entrance. Google map gets you nearby but about 100 meters off. There are few hotel signs that are very helpful. From the parking to entrance you hsve to walk your luggage a distance to get there.

Lovely stay for the price. Friendly staff and a quick Uber to Old Town.

I stayed here because I was visiting my son in hospital close by. The staff were very caring and supportive to me, nothing was too much trouble.

Difficult to access property as the drop off and pick up point was in the car park at the back of the hotel.

We were in town for several days for business and stayed at the Pax per a friends recommendation. We were not disappointed. The room was clean, the beds comfortable, and the staff very courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay so much that we will stay here again next spring when we are in town. It is a short walk to the water and various dining options. They have a nice breakfast spread with a variety of options suiting a wide range of tastes. Two thumbs up!

Ok here’s a very honest review of the hotel hope it helps other travellers.
1. The hotel at first might be confusing to find especially using Google maps but once you find it it’s easy.
2. It’s a very good hotel if you have a car rental because they have a lot of parking spaces for guests.
3. The location is a bit far from the old town/ferry port, but taking an uber is the best way since it costs only around 5€ per trip. Parking is expensive in the old town. 2€ for the first Hour and 3€ per succeeding hour.
4. The hotel is big, has good choices for breakfast and dining in as the restaurant serves good food and good drinks as well.
5. I read some reviews that the shower is small, it is true it is like a portable capsule shower but what was important was it was clean and water pressure and hot water was very good.
6. The WIFI can be better though. It was slow and we used our data during our stay as it couldn't load fast enough.
All in all for the price it was great.

Wonderful rooms in a quiet part of town, quite a walk from the old town but definitely doable if you are able bodied. Taxis and Ubers are very inexpensive.

Thank you, Ana, for making out stay exceptional, and adding a day at the other end of our vacation!

We were pleased with the property, once we located it. Google maps has the property located approx 150m from where it is. Normally this wouldn’t be an issue, however, this is a very busy area with the hospital, dead-end roads, and barricades. We were circling around for quite some time trying to get to the actual hotel parking lot, and then confused as to where the front entrance was. Perhaps some more signage would also help?
Once in the hotel, we enjoyed the stay, the comfortable room, and the friendly staff. Excellent breakfast and the young gal working it was super.
Enjoyed the proximity to the beach and rented city bikes to explore Split.

Location is terrible. Next to the main hospital which as double parking along the main access to the hotel. Shared building with dental clinic within the hotel area. Not the cleanest, many minor cosmetic faults. Not sure of the fire rating of the doors, security of the doors or evacuation procedures. Clinic starts work early, no auto/soft closures on the doors so was pretty noisy. The exterior trim at the bottom of the window was loose and blew and banged all night.

Absolutely lovely new hotel, free parking, great breakfast. A tad further from the port but short stroll to the beach, nothing is too far.

The room was not so nice as expected on the pictures but still comfortable with all the necessary equipments. However the bathroom was really outdated : small, old furniture and a shower with a dubious curtain.
That's why, I am not sure to recomend it.

First of all I want to say we have had a great time in Croatia and have stayed in several hotels around the country during our holiday. We normally don't complain and do understand that this is a 3 star hotel but must say this has been disappointing to say the least. So here's our first complaint in 25 years of travelling.
We have paid 3.800 kn for 3 nights for the superior suite for a little "luxury" but from the beginning we have not been impressed by the quality of the hotel.
When we check in the receptionist keeps our passports and says we can pick them up in 10 minutes, she puts them on the side by the counter. We go to our room and settle in and after about 15 minutes I go down to the reception and there's no receptionist, I see that our passports are laying exactly where the receptionist left them but they are unattended, one could just go to the counter and take/steal the passports. This is an out security I have never seen this on all my travels that passports are just laying in the reception unattended. This is over 25 years of travelling all over the world, from 5 star hotels to 0 star hotels.
The room itself is very small to be a superior suite, we have booked on the website it says: "The Superior Suite with sea view is an ideal choice for family vacations. It consists of two bedrooms, one equipped with a large king-sized bed and the other equipment with a queen-size bed. If it is one or two people, one room becomes a spacious living room. They are equipped

Address was not found on Google map and phone number was incorrect. There were facilities for religious ceremonies, including a church tower with ringing every hour. There was a helicopter runway within 200-300 m
Room did not look like pictures. There was a single window with difficult sea views and a view of an auto mechanic's backyard. The place claimed they were a beach hotel, but it was impossible to dry towels and swimwear. Very long and difficult walk to both the beach and the city. No service, no repair, no compensation

Great location, walking distance to the beach and a 5 minute car ride to Riva.
The hotel was clean and the breakfast was ok, not bad but not superb.
2.0 / 10.0
The hotel is clearly overpriced. It is not very conveniently located, quite far from the city center and the beach, around wasteland and abandoned construction. The room is not very large, with a minimal set of furniture. The bathroom is cramped. Breakfast is average and the range and quality are inferior to any German or Austrian 3-star hotel.

Room was decent. Wasn't expecting anything special as its only 3* for a very good price. Was surprised we had a decent sized fridge and a new smart tv in there too.
Shower was a bit disappointing but stayed in a family room with 2 mates and its all we needed. Probably not the best hotel for a couple.
Short walk to the marina to bar renatto which has a great view with good pizza and cheap beer. £2 uber into split main town. Walkable to the sandy bacvice beach.
Breakfast wasn't bad either. Nothing special but a good spread and it is included in the price.
Overall very good value

Great staff, clean and confortable room. The location is perfect to enjoy all that Split has to offer and the brekfast is terrific. Will definately stay here again.

Lovely Breakfast, short walk downhill to beach and marina & local restaurants, quite hotel apart from the helicopter launchpad next door.
4.0 / 10.0
The hotel itself was located about 20mins walk from the town centre and around 5-10 mins in the car, there is a nice restaurant 5 mins from the hotel which is cheep and cheerfull and do lovely food if you have had a tiring day and don't want to go far for dinner.
The staff are nice and friendly and if we informed them of something e.g the hallway lights were turned off at night so you couldn't see down the corridor, (this happend 2 nights in arow) they would run up the turn them on.

It was a great deal! The service and cleanliness makes up for not being super close to Old Split. It’s not a luxury hotel, but it’s really nice more like a boutique experience.

This property was more basic than advertised in my opinion. It almost felt like sleeping in a dorm room. I will say, the staff was helpful and friendly though.

The friendliness of their staff and knowledge of not just Split but the surrounding areas in Croatia as well cannot be understated! Thanks for making a first time visitor feel welcome!

Breakfast great and staff very helpful. Hotel is new and still in progress but there’s nothing negative about it. I recommend putting in mirrors in rooms.

We never got past the reception area. The hotel overbooked, blamed Expedia, and tried to put us in a Motel instead. We complained that we prepaid via Expedia and the Motel was unacceptable. They then put us in another hotel, but made us pay the difference. We had to pay 500 euros more for a room, we had no choice as they had no space left at Hotel Pax. I will never book a room with Hotel Pax and will warn everyone to stay away. We paid much, much more than we planned because they overbooked. When this happens most hotels cover the cost, they put the cost on us. For a new hotel this is unacceptable. No customer service whatsoever.

Staff was very friendly, only is hard commuting from hotel to down town. Maybe, in the future hotel shuttle will be a great help to guests w/o car. Definitely coming back next year!!

Good rooms
No mirrors in rooms and no toiletries just half full soap dispenser
House keeping didn’t clean our room, make bed and had to ask for fresh towels twice.
Good friendly staff
