Good accommodation

Somewhat quirky accommodation. We stayed in a twin room with shared bathroom (which was just across the passage, and very neat and clean). Beds comfy although soft (seems to be the norm in Norway). Breakfast was a very nice and hearty buffet.

Would have liked breakfast to start half an hour or so earlier (was from 8), but only as we had a long drive ahead of us. Not the hotel’s fault, but I wish Booking.com can somehow make it clearer when the booking has already been taken from your card (cancellation after a certain date no longer possible), or when payment must be made at the hotel. This always makes for awkward checking of bank statements when checking in…

A nice room in an historical building. The building is beautiful. Room was a bit small but fine. WIFI was fast and stable. Breakfast was OK. Shared restrooms and shower were fine too. The hotel has a restaurant (that I did not try it)

Located a few minutes drive from the nearest town.

Trully unique and cool place to stay. The staff was helpful even when we arrived late. Lovely breakfast, even delicious pancakes. We had a room with a bathroom, everything was clean.

Good experience

Great location and friendly staff. It is very good to see such historical guesthouses being preserved and surviving time 🙂 very good pancakes! The bed was also very comfortable. The remarkable Vøringsfossen can be reached in only 15 mins by car and the norwegian natural museum is only a couple minutes away walking.

Maybe it would be worth paying extra attention to the cleaning of the furniture (found some dust layers). Adding an air dryer in the bathroom would also be a good point.

Rooms and house furniture is very charming Cleaniness Dinner very tasty Kindness of the staff

Breakfast could be anticipated or, at least to have access and prepare by themself cofee or tea iin the early morning Common bathromm could be improved, it's not in line with the rest of the house. Possibly on sumertime the curtains could be too thin, maybe thicker ones are needed for the light.

Great location, very close to the Hardangerfjord and the Voringfossen waterfall. The facilities were very clean and the room was very cozy, and the staff was attentive too. Nice breakfast to start the day.

Superb

Breakfast was great. There were pancakes and lots of fruit. Lovely quiet area with nice views. Decor inside was very nice. We liked the reindeer.

lovely place to call home for a night.

the location was beautiful! the staff VERY helpful and friendly! The gentleman who checked is in and out was so kind to take the time to help us.

I wasn’t expecting the shared bathroom/shower! we rolled with it but had a couple awkward run ins with other guests lol.

Simple accomodation at good price in a charming house on a good location (nice staff/good breakfast)

Located in direct proximity of the Eidfjord and on the main route from/to Hardangervidda and Vorringsvossen with enough parking space. The winterterrace is very cosy. The breakfast buffet variety was good for the small size of Hotel with a very good quality. Staff was very nice and helpfull.

The room was quite basic and small. There was a shared bathroom - which we new in advance.

The location and homely feel of the property are wonderful.

The only downsides were the shower curtain (covered in mould) and the lack of complimentary toiletries.
