Just a very nice hotel for the price

Bar & evening Dining closed on a Sunday - we hadn’t expected that. It didn’t present a problem though.

We wish we could have stayed an additional night as the hotel was comfortable, the staff friendly but professional and we enjoyed our stay.

Nice, clean hotel, within walking distance of cathedral and old town. Pleasantly surprised by Le Mans as a town, and what it had to offer

The AC was not working and the room was hot, but the street outside was very noisy due to traffic, so we could not open the window for some fresh air. Room was tiny and could use a renovation, bathroom's sink was weirdly high. No bar of soap in the bathroom. Toilet did not flush properly. Positives: water pressure in the shower, convenient parking, and a decent breakfast.

The property was close to the downtown area with many shops and restaurants.

Unfortunately our room didn’t smell too fresh. Very quiet though and great position.

Very good hotel close to centre of le Mans, parking available, room was very comfortable with a huge bed, we had dinner in the brasserie, which was very good. Reception staff can speak English and were very helpful. We will definitely be back.

We spent two nights in a Privilege room. The room was on the small side, but comfortable enough. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection, provided you arrived well before the closing time. The hotel was well situated for exploring Le Mans on foot.
We were disappointed with the housekeeping service. After our first night, the bottled water we had drunk was not replaced. There were no glasses for the drinks, only flimsy plastic ones in the bathroom, which were also not replaced. The coffee making facilities consisted of a Nespresso machine (without instructions), three capsules of coffee, and just one sachet of artificial sweetener, but no sugar. We were surprised to find cardboard coffee cups in one of the top rooms of a 4* hotel.

Parking was good. Why it is fourth star I do not know. I asked for a bath for both rooms my mains need , However the very pleasant man on the desk got very confused when he saw I have a small scooter and asked if I would like a corridor without steps I said yes but my third floor room had no bath. We were too tired to change it and the room was very small.

We arrived in Le Mans late on a Sunday evening en route to the north. We were told at reception, when checking in, that the restaurant was closed on a Sunday but cold room service food was available if we wanted it. If we’d known this we’d have eaten en route. It was late and my children were too tired to go out so we ordered from deliveroo instead.
The room was gorgeous. But it was disappointing when my daughter found a pair of black knickers in her bed that must have been missed by the cleaners.

The staff at this hotel were fantastic, very helpful, attentive, friendly and always keen to help. The main reception area is impressive but once past that the rest of the hotel is less so. The restaurant isn't large so if there's a few folks in there it can get cosy. The bar is small..it was hot when we were there so sitting outside with a drink was welcome but alas, only to look out over an enclosed car park. The room we had was small, no fridge, no mini-bar and the tea making facilities were a kettle and sachets of coffee/sugar and tea bags - and paper cups! We were only given one proper tea bag between us each day - who has fruit tea in the morning? Bottled water was supplied but without a fridge that just got warm. The bed was very comfy though. The hotel is well situated - just a short walk from the main town and old town where we enjoyed some fine evening meals. We enjoyed our time in Le Mans, the tram system was great - as was the train to Paris - and the old town is well worth exploring but the hotel whilst perfectly adequate didn't float our boat. The breakfasts were continental buffet style with some 'cooked' and it was pot luck what was there when you arrived some mornings - breakfast was overpriced compared to what was available a few minutes walk away but if you eat and drink in a hotel I guess that's a given these days.

Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast choice. Parking was a little bit of a struggle but the hotel staff made sure that all cars were parked.

Behind the bar was a trolley of dirty brown stained towels/cloths... looked disgusting. The barman continued to hoover after serving our drinks. And the toilet in our room took at least 6 times to flush after each use!

It was a five minute walk to the main square and then 5 more to the old town. Excellent hotel for a one night stop over, with helpful staff.
The breakfast was good, nespresso machines, hot and cold buffet, and plenty!
We were in a family suite with a small terrace which was lovely. Parking is under the hotel, and is a bit tight (Q5).

This hotel does not deserve 4 stars and the price . Rooms are small and little room to move around. The room is clean, bed size acceptable with little pillows and flat (should not be used in the hotel with four stars). hotel decoration is beautiful. Staff are not helpfull at all,

Lovely hotel in a beautiful old building, the breakfast was good with lots of choice.

I could not travel because my son became unexpectedly unwell. This happened some weeks after the booking, and about five weeks before the check-in date. The hotel management refused to refund or change the check-in date. Despite many attempts by the Expedia staff, I lost all my money.
I find this behaviour to be the unacceptable face of the international chain-hotels industry. I pity these people.

A little gem of a hotel - in a quiet location but within walking distance of the old town and only a street away from a cluster of small shops. My daughter and I went in August of this year, loved the atmosphere - traditional building, but modern conveniences nicely melded as only the French can do. Spacious entrance lobby and seating, and curved sweeping staircase with beautiful large stained glass window. Breakfast area was spacious - no fighting over the breakfast buffet here - with really good breakfast choice (much better than 4* hotels we've stayed in)with chocolate croissants served hot and lots of help yourself coffee with hot milk, fruit, cheeses, hams, cereals etc, plus the local delicacy Rillettes (pork pate). Yum! The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and polite - and all spoke excellent English. From pointing me in the right direction for a flower shop, to booking a taxi to the train station, or issuing extra cards for the hotel room - they were all really nice. Oh,and a nice touch which I appreciated when waiting for daughter to make an entrance - lots of free copies of magazines - Vogue, etc, and some in English too. I could definitely recommend this hotel and would return again. Use Expedia - I got a much cheaper rate than the 'drop in'rate!
