Older hotel so comes with quirks. Walls are paper thin and neighbors could be heard talking and coughing most of the night. Road noise and people on shared balcony could be heard most of the night as well. Train station is loud as it is right there. So basically noise all day and night.
Bed was a full-size and not comfortable in the least. Overall, great location for enjoying downtown Winterpark, as long as you’re ok with being exhausted from all the night time noise the following day you’ll be good! $200 NOT well spent.

My favorite but sure wish i could be away from the trains

Very convenient location. This is a 100 year old hotel- floors squeak etc. we expected some inconveniences, but the AC controls and the ceiling fan remote did not work. Fortunately, it was a cool night and we slept well without either.

The desk manager was not friendly. Maybe she had a bad day, but I will not be coming back. My clients in Florida have met there for several years. The quaint touch of a breakfast roll and coffee delivered to the room in the morning is gone.

Check in was super front desk manager as well as assistant were very welcoming and helpful. Property has some amazing charm and the location is fantastic. Friday night stroll, Saturday morning farmers market were hits. Of course because the hotel is over 100 years old the fact that the walls not so soundproof or maybe just the adjoining room door without a door sweep on the bottom allowed our neighbors to be quite loud but some due to disrespect. My wife and I knowing how noise could easily be transmitted made it a point to be mindful of others. Only thing we did not care for is the creaky beds. Comfortable but creaky. If anything could be upgraded it would be this area for the place to be 100%
Saya VIP access hotel not sure what that means?

Absolutely stunning hotel, wish I could’ve stayed longer! Staff was friendly & accommodating, it felt like a home away from home. They offer earplugs for those busy Saturday nights, there’s a wine shop right below the hotel, lots of fantastic spots to eat and shop. First time for me in WP; I hope I can return to the Park Plaza for many years to come.
My ONLY “complaint” - and remember this building is old! There were ants in the bathroom of the room I stayed in; I’m sure getting in from the skylight & trees above. Some arborists would be happy to help trim the branches away from the roof so that wouldn’t be an issue any longer :)
Highly recommend; such a pleasant experience for me.

We were extremely excited to stay at this hotel for a short vacation as the first trip after our twins were in the Nicu; however our excitement was quickly taken away when we were met with some of the staff at this hotel. Many of the staff were wonderful but unfortunately, we had the displeasure of encountering Cheryl and Pat. Both employees did not greet you upon entering the lobby and had headphones in (while watching tv and doing homework) to the point that we had to repeat ourselves multiple times when asking a question. We also had a stroller that would not fit through the front door without opening the second door that was latched and not once were we offered assistance in opening the latched, 100 year old door. They then gave us a “lesson” on how to properly close the door after we left with the stroller and blamed us for a guest not being able to get in the night prior. Had Cheryl and pat not had their headphones in, I’m sure they would have heard the guest asking for assistance with the jammed door.
In addition, they state they are a dog friendly hotel but when our little one who is 15 pounds and lovely barked a couple times, they called us back from dinner and gave us a hard time. When we arrived back to the hotel 10 minutes later, she was asleep in the room. Even though some of the staff offered for us to leave her there the next day, we felt forced to put our girl in a doggy dog care the next day knowing Cheryl and pat were there that night and we did not trust

Charming older hotel in need of some renovations and sound proofing

This is an antique property built in 1924. Beautiful build and nice location.

The first night the A/C was not working at all. We moved into another room where the A/C was working but with a bad performance, liking water ALL night, what made our stay really uncomfortable. The night manager has the nails ( a man) the size of half a finder, was really disgusting.
The day managers (except for the last morning) never say "hello" or good morning or good night, the barely noticed us, they were always on their computers (except for the last morning were the new couple was really nice). So, I will not recommend this Hotel at all. Location is fantastic but there are are several options much better than this one.

This hotel is a piece of history. It’s lovely inside and we had a room that opened to the long wrap around balcony overlooking the park. It was a wonderful place to have a morning coffee or a nightcap. The location in Winter Park couldn’t be better.
What you need to be prepared for are old and very soft beds (which could be upgraded)- small bathrooms (which they probably can’t really change) and extremely thin walls. It’s an old hotel and some things just can’t be made modern and so you have to just expect it’s not perfect. But it’s charming and worth at least one visit.

Beautiful historic property in the heart of Winter Park. Many shops and restaurants steps away.

The bed was like sleeping on a rubber raft. Only one light to read by. Room was so incredibly small it was difficult for 2 people to walk by each other.

I loved this cute property!

The property is definitely in a great location and the bedding was very comfortable. The bathroom and shutters need some love. I saw the cleaning girls but they don’t even have a vacuum. The hallways smell musty and carpets could use a good shampooing. There was dog hair in the stair ways and hallway's. They do supply ear plugs for the noise.

Very convenient location to great restaurants, shopping and museums. Friendly staff, ready to give recommendations for restaurants and directions.

I just love the history, architecture, and general vibe of a classic 1920’s era hotel; and was not disappointed in the richness of all 3 at the Park Plaza. Nearby dining options were amazing, walkability factor a perfect ten, as well as staff’s professionalism .

It was our first time staying and it was our 22nd anniversary! It was a treat! We enjoyed the outside balcony over looking the busy Park Avenue shopping and restaurant district. The room was just as we imagined it would be. Comfy four poster bed. The only complaint was the bathroom sink was clogged so the water didn’t drain away fast. Staff were friendly and accommodating. We will be back again for sure!

No complaints. We would stay there again without any hesitation.

Bed was externally uncomfortable . Mattress needs to be replaced urgently . Water in the lobby was not kept cold ( with ice ) and many times they were out of coffee and water . Valet parking is available but nobody shows up at the front door, so we only realized that there was someone when we already parked . The staff is very friendly but not very proactive ( some of them ). The hotel needs some remodeling and better cleaning . There were no hangers in the small closet . No little freezer . Plants are lovely but they need to be trimmed a little bit , so we can see the street . Location is excellent, historic building , but hotel needs to improve in several aspects. I would not go back especially for the price they charge. .

Great little hotel, a stylish classic built in 1922. Friendly and efficient staff. Small rooms but great bed and shower. Internet worked great.

Shutters are broken. Bathroom very tiny.
TV very small. Overcharged on valet parking.
Bed was very comfortable, but AC was very loud

The hotel was unique and in the heart of Winter Park. It is older so it doesn’t have great soundproofing between rooms. I still loved its charm. The most perfect location.

Great location. Spacious room

The service was amazing. The front desk and the valet attendant were great, professional and welcoming. The hotel is old which we were okay with but the room we were in was so muggy, had a strong smell (a scent covering a bad smell) and the air conditioner had a bright light that wouldn’t turn off with the remote. The bed was not comfortable and the view was not a view. This room was one of the worst rooms I’ve ever stayed in. I wanted to love it and return, but afraid that the room will be as bad and as uncomfortable.

This was a mother/daughter trip over spring break to just hang out, shop, and eat at great restaurants. It was perfect! The hotel is right on Park Avenue so we could go back to our room anytime we wanted and not worry about driving anywhere. The shopping is great but the restaurants are even better! It was nice to sit on the patio overlooking beautiful Park Avenue with a coffee or glass of wine. The hotel is older so you have to understand what you’re getting. There is no refrigerator or room service and everything around you is “dated” but that adds to the charm of the place. The most important thing was that the bed was comfortable and the staff was lovely. I definitely plan to return and highly recommend staying here.
