This is a comfortable no frills hotel, right in the heart of the action in Merida, the only downside was no coffee or breakfast.
Salvation came in the form of Marago coffee at Hotel Merida c.60 & 57.

Beautiful, qauint, clean, and colonial style hotel just blocks from Centro. Great eating options all around. You can walk to bus station and great dinning. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Everything is clean and well presented.

Large colonial style building, huge wood doors to the rooms. Small but really nice pool area.

We recently stayed at the Hotel Montejo during our visit at Merida. Clean, comfortable beds, nice people at the front desk. No TV did not have cable working. Good price per night. Closed to good restaurants. Will stay again if im in Merida again.

Nice place, comfortable bed, substandard shower, staff not friendly, great location.

Great value hotel close to city centre. Staff are friendly and the room is cleaned daily and well.
No windows in the bathroom mean it’s a bit moldy but otherwise it’s great.

Clean rooms, very friendly personnel, very close to the city center. Yes, the parking is two blocks away - but there is just no other way with such a central location. Overall very good experience.

Nice property well located in Merida. Make sure you get your car in the 12-hour courtesy parking lot, or you may end up walking a lot to the other parking lots.

But the toilet didn’t work well

The photos do not show the real hotel and rooms. The rooms are not the best. The worst part is that we requested a refund on the meals because we were charged again for the meals that are at another hotel and we were very upset. We never used the restaurant again after two times. The only wonderful thing at the hotel were the people working there.

I'd stay here again.

I stayed 2 nights at this hotel and was pleased overall. The Hotel is cute, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and shower was hot. For me, the location was perfect. The parking is a bit awkward, you pull in front and put your flashers on and then after check-in an employee goes with you to the parking lot a couple blocks away. I didn't need the car while I was there but I think if you were coming and going it might be a bit inconvenient. Definitely I was happy though and will be staying here again next time. The value is great!

A nice hike to stay in Merida central. Nothing extraordinary simple stay but clean and comfortable.

Staff were friendly and area was hotel over all was nice. The room did not have a phone and hand towels. The parking lot is 4 blocks away which is not to convenient.

Giant suite with comfy couches that fold out into beds in the living area; two double beds in the bedroom area. Nice size pool - too deep for a toddler though!

2nd time at this hotel in 4 years. Great, helpful, hard-working staff. Convenient to main plaza, restaurants. Bus station is walkable, but if you have a bit of luggage take a taxi. Additional pool chairs would help. There were only 3 that were usable. (Throw out the plastic one). Nice pool. Had a problem with our room that was quickly remedied by front desk staff offering us another room. Would return.

The location in the center of Merida was great. Parking was secure a few blocks away. The room was very spacious with even a walk in closet! We liked the little pool and enjoyed the fact that it was next to our room. Felt like our own private pool. I do wish they would provide a basic breakfast, just coffee and a pastry or something.
I will stay at this hotel again since it is very good value for money.

The hotels location was good, but hotel itself was moldy and could not open the windows for fresh air. Everything is locked tight. There was an air conditioner, but that did not help regarding dampness everwhere.

Love the location n vibe, unfortunately the beds were saggy causing me to roll to the middle and there were lots of little black flies in our room, both dead and alive. The bed linens and pillows were very clean and good quality

This hotel is in a perfect location in El Centro, immediately across from La Chaya Maya where I ate almost daily. The hotel is clean, colonial charm and close to everything in El Centro. Walking distance to stores, restaurants, parks, etc. The restaurant within the hotel is not the best. Venture outside for some really good Yucatecan food. This hotel is not pet friendly which I found out when I arrived with my cat. I specifically requested it in the filters but all in all my stay was pleasant. I would recommend for short stays.

The hotel itself was nice, and the staff was welcoming. The location is perfect! Just a couple blocks to a lot of the things that you want to see in the central area. Pricing was very good.

The Hotel Montejo has a lot if potential. The location is excellent, the room spacious, air conditioning and hot showers in abundance. Their staff - young lady at the front desk and young man in the restaurant were very pleasant but obviously inexperienced. Training would help a lot here - a map to the parking garage, information on Wi-Fi password, how to work the TV and breakfast and restaurant hours would go a long way. We asked the waiter what the free breakfast included and he told us everything on the menu. So we ordered a fruit plate an order of pancakes and 2 coffees. We left a large tip. About 20 minutes later we had a knock o the door and was presented a bill for 180 pesos. No big deal but could of been prevented with some advance information. Tip to hotel owners provide a sheet with the above info when checking in. In the most common tourist languages as well as Spanish. That said great value hotel, nice room and great location. One more recommendation a small fridge in the room would be well received by your guests.
