Beautiful oasis in the middle of Roma. Kind staff, excellent breakfast, room was clean and very comfortable. Highly recommend!

Really beautifully designed boutique guest house. Comfortable rooms, delicious breakfast and friendly staff. The only down side was actually how amazing the ceramics on display were, so we ended up searching to find & buy similar wonderful pieces!

Amazing in every way. Such a charming property, friendly team, delicious breakfast!! Highly recommend and will be coming back! Only comment is that the room shades are not that dark so it is quite bright in the mornings.

It was a Boutique Hotel experience. Loved it. Would recommend if you’re looking for a very nice and quiet stay. Close to very good restaurants.

Beautiful boutique hotel in Roma Norte. On the most quaint street. Tons of delicious restaurants and bars. Highly recommend! Ask for the balcony suite - absolutely perfect.

This was a lovely stay. Staff spoke great English and was very helpful with recommendations and suggestions on how to get around. The room was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed. There was a beautiful courtyard garden in the center where we spent time having breakfast outside and cocktails in the afternoon. I would absolutely recommend this hotel and come back in the future!

Ignacia Guest House is simply perfect! One of the best places we've had the pleasure of staying at during our travels. The property itself has everything you could need for a comfortable stay and the smallest of details thought of. We were in the pink room and we really enjoyed the space and particularly the spacious bathroom and cosy bacony with the most idyllic view. Great shower pressure, toiletries, avcomfortable bed, and a powerful AC were great. The common areas are beautifully decorated and feel homey and chic. The breakfast is SO good and changes daily to somehting local and delicious. The daily happy hour and mixologist cocktails on particualr days was a lovely addition and we really enjoyed meeting and chatting to other guests during this time. The team working at IGH were excellent, a big thanks to Diego and Magda for being so hospitable and helpful. We loved the neightborhood and had so many great restaurants and bars nearby. A massive thanks for a wonderful stay, we will most definitely stay here again when back in CDMX.

Brilliant place to stay in vibrant Mexico City.

I really hesitated to write this review because I have been dreaming about staying at this hotel for years and had such enthusiasm for it/ high hopes based on other people’s reviews.
Nobody helped me with my bags
management was unfriendly
For the price you pay here the room I stayed in is not what I expected.
They do not translate i the same as in the photos on their website.
That being said, the overall exterior and design of the hotel is very unique and beautiful. The location is excellent. Bummer that everything else wasn’t up to the standards.
I was expecting a certain level of hospitality based on the articles written about this hotel and other reviews but I was disappointed in the level of service, warmth, and friendliness.
I do understand that no hotel or person is perfect and everyone is doing their best. However, charging the price they do, the service should be excellent and the manager should go out of their way to be warm, helpful and kind.

After a day of traveling, I was just interested in getting to my room for a bit of chill. The pleasantries aside, we got down to exchanging passports and CC card info. It's never pleasant to learn that an unexpected "service charge" is being added to the bill. When I asked why Expedia did not include this charge in the original quote, I was told to contact Expedia. We reserved and expected a King bed, but ended up with Queen. We asked about the discrepancy and expected an adjustment to the bill, but were once again given the same response - take it up with Expedia. I fully intend to follow up with Expedia, but small things like this just left me feeling a little blah. Overall, not a bad property - just not sure I would stay there again in future visits to Mexico City.

The breakfast made by the cooking team of Ignacia was the best of the best. Everyone was kind and attentive. We were happy throughout our stay. Thank you very much.

The property is lovely, the staff was wonderful. My only complaint is that the room was listed as a suite but it was VERY small by any standards. In my experience a suite usually has a sitting area but this suite was pretty much all bed. Luckily, the outside area was very nice

Stayed in YELLOW room, 5 days. Delicious breakfast included, stocked refrigerator 24/7 for drinks, large shower, walking distance to many great restaurants, WONDERFUL front desk assistance (shout out to Magda). Only complaint is the less than stellar wifi in room.

Amazing property! Beautiful spaces, great location, delicious food and great service. Only drawback was our room was a little small - normal for the area. Would stay again for sure, but would book the black room.

Una excelente opción para estar en zona céntrica de CDMX, un concepto diferente a un hotel convencional.

We had a wonderful stay! Before our trip, we decided to spend a night in Mexico City and heard from friends Roma was one of the places to stay. We narrowed in on the area and really lucked out with Ignacia Guest House. It was in walking distance to the restaurants we wanted to visit and a quick taxi to other points of interest. The staff were amazing, bilingual, and gracious hosts offering suggestions about what else we might enjoy. The included breakfast was the cherry on top! Fresh fruit, fresh squeezed OJ, Mexican tortillas with chorizo, and espresso. So yummy. We will definitely come back!

Ignacia Guest House is the most unique, delightfully surprising hotel I've ever stayed in. Every corner of the property is perfectly well-appointed and aesthetically pleasing. The included breakfast in the mornings and cocktails in the evenings are delicious. The staff is helpful, friendly, and prompt to respond to requests or handle problems. The whole place feels like a well-kept secret, even though they were fully-booked. I had the sensation that I was staying in my rich Mexican aunt's house, more than the sense I was staying in a hotel. I was genuinely so sad to leave, and can't wait to go back.

This stay was so beautiful and truly relaxing. The hotel had all of the right vibes and was perfect for our honeymoon in CDMX.
We were also close to lots of great food and bars.

Great stay, highly recommend. This cute boutique hotel in the Roma neighborhood is a great choice for Mexico City. It’s impeccably styled and you will love this place if you’re into design or just beautiful spaces. They serve a full homemade breakfast each morning (included with your room cost) and cocktails in the evening. We stayed in the Amarilla/yellow room and it has a small balcony that we loved using. The room size is more like a hotel room size you’d be accustomed to seeing abroad vs a US-sized hotel room, but it was not a problem and nothing super out of the ordinary. There is a huge courtyard for you to enjoy, too. We loved the bathroom and shower. This is definitely nicer than a 3 star (sure it only has that rating due to it being a small boutique). Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful and clean modern hotel. The hotel people are so nice and gave us a lot of information about shopping and dining. Their mezcal cocktails time is also great and delicious. I’d love to come back!

What a wonderful place to stay! The property is spectacular but really it’s the staff, especially Romina and our chef, who make the experience so great! Thank you for a fabulous stay! Location is ideal too!

The Ignacia Guest House was everything we wanted in a place to stay while in Mexico City. It's nestled in an amazing, safe, neighborhood in North Roma, just a few blocks away from some of the best restaurants and bars in the city. The room was perfectly suited for us and the staff were there to answer all our questions and make our stay perfect. The afternoon cocktail was always a delight and the optional breakfast was delicious. The only downside was no screens on the windows and I am a mosquito magnet. It was so naturally chilly at night we shut the windows anyway. I truly cannot wait to go back if we have the chance. This is one of the best experiences I've had traveling across South America and Europe.

Ignacia was the most incredible place to stay, I am already counting the days until I can go back. We loved everything about it - the design, the breakfast. Gina gave us incredible recommendations. Everyone who's a designer should stay here!

Beautiful guest house in a quite leafy neighborhood. Staff were amazing and made our stay truly memorable :) Lots of added touches like afternoon cocktails and designer books in the rooms. Perfect!

First, let me start off by saying the Ignacia Guest House property is absolutely gorgeous! The house itself dates back to 1913 and has been painstakingly restored to its original beauty. The common spaces are warm, cozy, but modern and fresh--not stuffy or pretentious in any way. The garden area is a tranquil respite from the business of the city, and a great place to enjoy one of the house's complimentary cocktails! The breakfast (included in your stay) is delicious and lovingly made in-house.
We arrived here on our last night in Mexico City as a treat and stayed in the Rosa suite. The room itself was just the right amount of space, and the bathroom was more than ample.
As we were relaxing on the room's private balcony, we noticed an alarm--nothing that seemed out of the ordinary, like a car alarm. However, Magda, one of the front desk folks, gave us a call to let us know it was an earthquake warning and we needed to evacuate. We quickly left the room and flooded into the streets with the rest of the guests and locals.
Magda ensured our safety and, when we got the all clear, ushered us back to the patio for a cocktail. This was a great way to get to know the other guests staying at the property and make some new friends. Magda again took care of us through the night until the power came back on--she was incredible in keeping us calm and well-cared for (THANK YOU, Magda!).
Friendly staff, beautiful decor, delicious food and drink...what are you waiting for?
