Amazing hotel, truly beautiful, plants all around.
However no air conditioner nor fans….had to open window and door to hall for circulation.
Helpful staff! Good update on WhatsApp.
Staff was awesome. Breakfast was overwhelming….kept bringing more food!

I should have read some of the reviews referring to this hotel as a ghost town. We arrived in the evening and it was dark no lights on. There was one women in the building apparently she was the attendant but you would not know as she barely greeted us and certainly didn’t help with luggage. Once we checked in we went to the restaurant. The room was clean but not very nice bedding was poor quality and sheets/towels were not soft. There were dirty pillows with out pillow cases on the shelf.
The restaurant was empty we were the only people it seemed I. The building. The same women was the waitress in the hotel. She barely waited in us and it took 2 hours for food (again we were the only people there). I had to as for a cup, water, fork etc.
The next day was more of the same. We were told the pool and hot tub didn’t open until 10am.
We told them our plan was to go when it opened. Upon arriving, the hot tub was empty and the pool was cold. When we asked about the place being empty and not water they started to fill it but it was never more than like warm in 2 days. The over all experience was comparable to a movie. We couldn’t make this stuff up. The art alone will make your skin crawl and it has a creepy feel to it. Don’t choose this hotel. The last night it poured rain and the window leaked and the floor has water pooling.
We would have left after night one but we could not cancel reservation. Do not stay here

I stayed 2nights. The hotel looks different than in the pictures. Breakfast selection is minim not a huge variety as pictured on advertisement.
Also the gym is not really a gym. You have access to dumbbells but the place is in between ping pong table. Sauna is to pay as an extra.
I wouldn’t call it a wellness center as it is not.
Do not worth the price payed.
Pool doesn’t look like in the picture either.
However the staff was absolutely kind and helpful. I wouldn’t change that.

Lethargic service. Have is the impression that staff were untrained. Despite sending a message ahead of time about my Asthma condition the room had a musty smell. Very ordinary breakfast, not ready on time! Need I say more...?

This was a ridiculous bad stay. They have a steam room, yes. They have a pool, yes. It is all like a cheap Greek all inclusive you might get gifted as a booby prize.
The rooms have doors that don’t reach the floor, so ALL the noise from any part of the cylindrical architecture comes in at all times of day. They have windows at the top of all the room doors that let the light in 24/7. This means that sleep is impossible. I was woken up at midnight by arrivals that seemed to be moving furniture around in the lobby. I stupidly paid upfront non-refundable for three nights, but left after one since it was so poor. The pool was freezing and the jacuzzi was broken and shooting water out at angles.
No hot water and crap water pressure.
When I checked out early and told the receptionists my complaints, they said ‘yes, we hear that often’. Well fix it! 5* my arse. Got to Lima to Iberostar Miraflores, a true 5* hotel.

We stayed the night before and the night after a 2D/1N Machu Picchu tour. Even though we chose to stay in the Sacred Valley to avoid the altitude of Cusco, my husband still suffered from altitude sickness. The hotel has an on-site, 24/7 clinic! Dr. Helen and the nurses constantly checked on him and worked with us to get him healthy enough to see MP. The rest of the staff took care of the kids and I, two easy check-ins, a delicious dinner and 2 yummy breakfasts. The saunas (dry and steam) were great after hiking and the kids enjoyed the pool (it was too cold for me).
It is true that there is no town within walking distance but accessing taxis is easy.

My friends and I spent the night in the Sacred Valley to experience the local ruins the next day and have a relaxing evening. This hotel was definitely clean and they really attempted to provide good service. Unfortunately, the country had some recent protests so they did not have much food at the restaurant. But they did arrange a pizza order from a nearby spot to the hotel. They only area of improvement is with their hot tub situation. It took hours to fill up and was not truly hot. The manager was very friendly and offered to assist if we got stuck anywhere in the ruins due to protesters blocking roads.

There is a lot to like about the Life Hotel in the Sacred Valley. It is a relatively new property so it has bigger rooms and a lot more accomodations than many other options directly in Ollantaytambo. It is in nearby Pachar in a much less crowded area, so it feels more removed from the noise and hubbub of a busy tourism center. Yet it is still close enough to be only minutes away from Ollantaytambo's ruins, the train station to Machu Picchu, the Urubamba community, Salineras de Maras, and other popular destinations.
The decor in the hotel and "wellness center" is so fun and interesting, with walls lined with fine art, fun furniture designs, and nods to the culture of Peru in every corner. Plus the central lobby is bright with sunshine that comes through the glass roof and bird songs add to the peaceful atmosphere.
They offer spa services, including couples massages, plus they have a nice restaurant in the building with really good food, plus they have a recreation area with a pool, billiards tables, games, and rental bikes. We used their laundry services and got our clothes back in a day, more neatly folded than they've ever been before.
We loved our stay and the friendly staff and highly recommend Life Hotel as a comfortable and high-end stay in the Sacred Valley, plus its price is much better than similar resort-style options.

The moment we arrived we were met by hotel manager Dan who made our stay fantastic. The hotel is located in the outskirts of the town, so it's a nice quiet area away from the busy noisy tuk-tuks. We had a car, so it was nice to park in the safe parking lot as they close the gate in the evening, so we felt safe leaving luggage in the car. The hotel is attached to a hospital and "health's boutique"--in fact we weren't sure it was the place at first because there is no mention of "hotel" on any of the signage, but we didn't see any activity in the hospital while we were there. The room is spacious and clean with a good size bathroom. One thing to note, Expedia listed two queen beds, but they only have one king and one double or two double beds. The hotel has a unique open bright design, a pool, sauna and a movie theater (they were also showing an important football game there). Breakfast is included and made to order with fresh squeezed juice and coffee. Dan is fluent in 6 languages and my kids loved talking to him in another language. He had great suggestions for restaurants. We went to the pizza place in Urubamba (Pizza Wasi) and had this fantastic pizza. He also suggested that we take a longer route back to Cusco due to it being a better road, but we still took a shorter one and regretted as we had to wait for 45 min for a bulldozer to clear the fallen rocks from the road.

It was ok, not like the reviews or ratings suggesed. The service was outstanding, the food was delicious but the smell in the room was unique to be frank. Plus no heater in the room the staff was a bit off, i mean they were just watching you to see if you needed anything but overall not the best stay. And definitely not the best stay at the price point.

Great quiet location even with construction going on nearby it was an oasis. After a Aya dieta being away from the hustle and bustle was great. Ollantaytambo is only about a 15min drive which can be a plus or minus depending on your goals. Mines was to relax and recharge. Lookng forward to the expansion being completed and seeing how it turns out. The staff is also very amazing! ANd the food at the restaurant is great! The manager Dan does a great job of making sure you are well taken cared off. From helping to arrange transportation to and from Machu Picchu to tips on pricing for souvenirs to clothing . And did I mention the food. Just be warned the restaurant is cash only. Overall amazing experience!

Property was away from the buzz in a very quiet space
The Manager Dan was very attentive and provided personal service throughout my time there. Arranged transportation and offered very good tips for travelers
New property with unexpected amenities like a jacuzzi. The space heater was also very welcome as the nights were nippy.

From when we first set foot in the hotel, Dan and the staff immediately made us feel welcome. Dan is incredibly knowledgeable about Peru, specifically with Cusco, Machu Picchu, the Sacred Valley and neighboring areas. He was able to give us tips and prepared us for what to expect on our journey which was really helpful as first time visitors to Peru. Dan and his team were eager to make our stay in Peru (not just at the hotel) the best it could possibility be. He accompanied us to the train station to Machu Picchu, gave us an idea of how much we should be spending on cab rides/souvenirs and took us on tours of the local attractions (Maras/Moray/Chinchero). We left the hotel with a greater appreciation of Peruvian culture and felt as if it was our second home. I would recommend staying here - it was an amazing experience and made our trip that much better. Thanks Dan & team!

The staff was surpassingly accommodating and friendly. The amenities are what you would expect from a hotel five times the price. The location was ideal right off the highway between Cusco and Machu Picchu, but the road noise did not intrude. This property is truly a hidden gem.
