We enjoyed our stay at the Angel Inn. The room was spacious and comfortable and ours had a modern ensuite bathroom. The food at breakfast and dinner was very good with a wide choice. Overall, a very nice old building with loads of character, within walking distance of everything Petworth has to offer.

We were here just the one night but would like it to have been longer. We ate in the dining room and were extremely full after a starter and main and couldn't go on to dessert!

We had a nice one night stay, the Inn was smart and clean, it has a lovely garden. The staff were great. Our room was a lovely period room, very cosy but the bathroom was very modern, best of both worlds. We had a very nice breakfast in the garden, all in all a nice place to be.

The Angel Inn is such a nice place to stay the rooms and bath rooms have all been updated to a high standard. The restaurant offers a small but varied menu. The nice thing also is it is dog friendly.

My husband and I loved our stay at The Angel Inn- it’s a fantastic location set in beautiful Petworth with lovely rooms, walled garden for al fresco dining and friendly staff. It’s a really special place - especially for us as we stayed here for our wedding- and we will continue to return.

A really lovely old inn with beams throughout the property which meant some of the doorways upstairs were a little low but padded to save accidents and were no problem for us. Very nicely decorated throughout and very clean. Plenty of plug points in bedroom and good water pressure in the shower. The bed was very comfortable. the staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome, nothing is too much trouble. We had dinner at the Inn by a log fire. The food was delicious and cooked to order and the staff and kitchen staff made the evening very special as they knew it was my husband's birthday. There was a good choice for breakfast and again the staff were helpful and friendly. We would certainly recommend the Angel Inn and will return in the future. We cannot praise the staff highly enough.

Very old, quirky property, being tall people, getting into our room through what felt like a hobbit hole, was fun! (Although not a problem). The room was lovely, but the shower tiles could have done with a good clean, one of my pet hates, sorry. A comfy bed, nespresso machine and fresh milk brought to the room, but it was a hot day, so it was a case of coffee now, or gone off milk. We could have gone down for more milk, but decided against it. Our room was at the back and overlooked the pub garden, it was a very hot bank holiday weekend, so we had the windows open, so could hear all the chatting and laughter from the customers, but it didn’t disturb us. Breakfast was delicious, we both had full English and thoroughly enjoyed it. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the pub doesn’t serve food on Sunday evenings, but they did offer to book us a table at their sister restaurant just down the road. We would recommend the Angel, but we did feel the room rate we paid (£200) was pretty steep for a small room in a pub. It may just have been an August bank holiday premium, but we have stayed in similar pubs for considerably less.
