Great people running the place . Good location
Would have been nice and more authentic if tourist are welcomed by locals or at least mix. Feels a bit awkward being greeted by all foreigners . They can work the other matter later once tourist are already onsite. Both local and foreign crew were great during our stay!

From the chalets you reach the marvellous beach of this small tropical island within a few metres. The staff is awesome and has been very helpful and friendly.
You can easily do different sports activities like snorkeling, diving and kayaking…even hiking through the jungle. :)
We really enjoyed our stay at Rimba!!!

their food was nice, room’s view
-the room cleanness needs to be focus , got many spiders webs
-they charged me more because I didn’t book through them directly and I booked from booking.com , they told me they have free child meals but when i booked through booking they cancelled the deal.
- they charge RM35 for jetty transfer and also Rm150 for jetty transfer 🤔

LOCATION: the island is very close to Singapore, so ideal for us for a short vacation. Big plus is the location in a secluded/sheltered area. We could see thunderstorms happening every night in the distance. NEVER touched our island!
SERVICE: crew here is really good! Bri is the sweetest and uttermost patient dive instructor we have ever met. A real gem! Mal & crew had always smile on their faces when approached and were always willing to have a chat/help you out. This greatly helped the nice 'vibe' you could get there. The only thing I would say is that there is a lack of indication/lists for different activities/things to do on the island. That is: you need to ask and be specific; they answer all your questions, but you have to make sure to ask as much as possible as there could be 'missing parts' that you forget to mention and regret afterwards.
FOOD: the BBQ night was great! The food on the other days was ok. This is a small island, so supply is not easy to get. Nonetheless maybe a little bit more of variety would make the dining experience even better.

The staff was super nice, always comforting. We have been there with two toddlers, 2 and 3 years old, and felt perfectly safe and had a very relaxed three nights vacation. The kids enjoyed the white sanded beach, the kids menu and the super relaxed atmosphere. There is a box with toys at the coffee/lounge/bar area, so the mums were able to enjoy the sunset with a drink, while the kids were perfectly happy playing with the toys. The chalets are basic, but clean and you can hear the ocean at night (and the view in the morning is stunning).
We did a snorkeling trip one day and while the kids were playing at the beach of an island, the adults were able to snorkel. In general the trip was nice, but the snorkel spot was not really worth it. Next time i would make sure with the instructor first, if the spot we are heading to is really a nice one.

The staff is amazing. I have never felt so genuinely welcomed and made to feel at home.
Adam goes the extra mile for everyone. He did a great job of maintaining the property during the MCO shut-down.
Waking up to the sound of waves just metres away and the open-air concept of the chalet, surrounded by trees, gives the feeling of being part of nature. Brian, an extremely patient instructor, helped me regain my long-forgotten scuba diving skills. The jungle trek to Sea Gypsy was an interesting but safe adventure through dense forest.
The nightly bar chats with staff and other guests were a great way to unwind, learn and let go.
Mosquitoes!! To be expected of course since there is dense vegetation all around. The fans in the chalets do a good job of keeping them at bay at night. Use the mosquito net wisely and don't let them in!!
As the resort rebuilds, I look forward to seeing more activities such as hiking, boat trips, spa, retreats - this will all take time I am sure, after such a long shut down.

Super chill Patios, free ice and fresh water for drinking, amazing breakfast spread. Free coffee and tea all day.
No doors in chalets
(One staff kept clearing his throat loudly in the morning on our last day, he spat out the contents on the grounds in front of chalet walkways, 3 of us witnessed it, we know it's an island and all things are organic and he may not even realize it's a cringing habit but hey if we noticed it... suggest management can put a stop immediately to it and up the briefings ;p )
