Moderne kamer. Goede styling.

It was beautifully designed and relaxing accommodation in a very convenient location.
Nothing.

The hotel is right in the middle of everything—tons of restaurants and right near the water. Our room was large and comfortable.
Our room faced the pool, which, though nice to have, meant we had to close the windows and shutters for privacy. This was a slight negative, but we still enjoyed the room.

The property is stunning, and exactly as pictured. It was clean and well maintained, including the pool areas. We loved our room and the attention to detail was obvious - it was one of my favourite rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Pool towels, regular towels, and robes were provided as well as water, coffee, and tea. The shower was excellent, the bed was comfy, and the window cover blocked out most light overnight.
The location was also excellent, overlooking the water and easy walk to everything. The gelato place down the block is amazing.
Olhão is not a beach town. This is, of course, not the property’s fault, but it is not a beachfront property. It is a waterfront property for sure (amazing view of the water), but to get to the beaches you must take either a ferry (2 euros but only at set times) or a water taxi (any time but 35 euros each way). From the boat, it’s approximately a 10-30 minute walk to the beach depending on which island you’ve gone to.
I would recommend the property include more information about Olhão in its welcome package, including ferry times and information about the beaches. And I would not call it beachfront in the listing.
Also, it would have been helpful to know that many places close on Sunday and some on Monday, and that many places require reservations for dinner a day in advance. There were so many great food options in Olhão that we were fine without a reservation, but one place we wanted to try wasn’t available either day we tried it.

Great central location a short walk from excellent restaurants, the market and tbe ferry / water taxi.
The tiny pool is a great bonus for cooling off at the end of the day. Super friendly staff but all at arms length as they rely on WhatsApp and key codes. Delicious breakfast.
There was literally nothing I didn’t like.

Attentive and friendly staff, great breakfast, nice bathrooms and toiletries, gowns etc
Would have been useful to have a rail for clothes or a wardrobe

Architecture, design, breakfast was amazing! our room (no. 1) had the perfect size!
the bed was not comfortable, hard mattress and bed sheets seemed to have bad quality (polyester made us sweat)
the pool is nice even though it’s small and not deep but there are pigeons all around and IN the pool (some mirror stickers might be helpful)

An amazing place to stay and the most facilitating hosts you could find...situated in the centre of everything you need.....can't wait to go back 😀

The suite and communal area are lovely. The pool / terrace areas overlooked the sea, which was a great view.
The location was great, near the ferry terminals to the islands and the markets / restaurants.
The employees were very friendly and went the extra mile to make our stay very comfortable and pleasant.
Very easy check-in process.
Nothing - everything was great.

location was great, lovely pool and air conditioning
robe was so comfortable!
would recommend giving more towels - suggestions say okay to take to the beach, but if only given 2 towels for 2 adults then that isn't really an option

The breakfast was excellent and the lady running the place was so lovely and accommodating. It was incredibly clean and the pool was a massive bonus, especially as the location is so great.
Nothing.

The location is really in the center but maintain the privacy and is quiet. And also below we have one of the best restaurant “Cestaria” in Olhao

Casa dos Mercados is superb! The rooms are lovely, newly refurbished and lots of extras included, robes and coffee machine and fridge in the room, lovely toiletries and even welcome biscuits. Secure and quiet - a little haven away from it all with just 6 rooms with lovely outside areas with 2 x small pools and sunbeds. Sea views and restaurants on the doorstep. Friendly staff who are genuinely concerned that you are happy with everything, (which we were), Breakfast was amazing and plentiful. really accommodating with a late checkout for our evening flight which meant we could make the most of our last day. We absolutely could not fault a single thing about our stay - perfect!

Brand new small city hotel with nice contemporary design, rooftop pools and small breakfast room. Breakfast looked nice but starts at 8:30 only. We had to leave early to catch our flight but the lovely lady who was preparing breakfast already offered us coffee and croissant.
We arrived by car and lots of luggage. Be aware there is no Parking or space to offload in front of the Hotel. You have to find one of the public parking spots which is quite difficult with all of the restaurants around. You also have to climb lots of stairs to reach your room - no elevator! There is no hotel staff on spot, to assist you. The only option is to communicate via WhatsApp which is not working properly. We didn’t get any response on our day of arrival and had to help ourselves. The staff got back to us after we checked out. Be aware of the central location in one of the busiest areas. The live music from the bars next door kept us awake until early morning.

This property has been finished to a high standard with lots of attention to detail. lovely thick towels with robes in the bathroom, additional black towels to be used by the pool or taken to the beach. Our room doors opened onto a lovely, spotlessly clean, terrace where the pool was warm. Breakfast was excellent, the nicest freshly squeezed orange juice and pastries straight from the oven! Friendly staff/owners and a relaxed atmosphere. The location is excellent too, a short walk to the ferry and surrounded by many lovely restaurants.

Breakfast, room, location, swimming pool; all excellent

Very nice place with great care for details, amazing breakfast, lovely staff!! Great place if you want to chill out directly in town and have breakfast looking at the ocean.

We very much enjoyed our stay in Casa dos Mercados. Lisete Madeira is the good soul of the house and prepared a nice and rich breakfast each morning for us - always with a smile on her face. The two pools, one heated, and the various outside spaces were lovely, the amazing design of the house and the perfect location next to the mercado is difficult to beat. Our room was small but we spent very little time inside and will definitely stay here the next time we will hopefully visit Olhao again.

Such a beautiful place to stay, it's worth a quick stop in this otherwise unexciting place. The rooms are designed with a lot of love and taste, the beds are incredibly comfortable and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. An absolute recommendation!
Olhão is a rather unexciting place, but come for the hotel!
