The walls are rotting and unpainted, things were basically functional but overall poorly equipped. No chair. No towels

This is the second time that I’ve stayed at this travelLodge in SFO and my first time I had a horrible experience and history definitely repeated itself when I initially booked I didn’t realize this was the same hotel until I arrived. Prior to coming to the airport I tried multiple times to contact the hotel shuttle and I was unsuccessful. I then called front desk and the representative I spoke to was very rude he advised that the shuttle came to SFO every 50 minutes that would’ve put the pick up time at 12:50 I sit there with other visitors waiting for the shuttle to pick us up. It did not arrive until after 1:15. Upon arriving to the property, me and multiple other guests were told we could not check in until 3 o’clock. It was a little bit after 1:30 so a bunch of us was just sitting in the lobby outside by the pool area just waiting around until it was time to check in. Once 3 o’clock came I checked in and I was given room 616 upon entering the room I was greeted with the overwhelming smell of urine. It was horrible. I advised Housekeeping and she moved me to the room next-door, that room smelled of marijuana. they do not give you blankets They only use sheets on the bed, so it was extremely cold. along with that the hotel info online said that it had a business center it did not when I asked the front desk where I can go. They were no help whatsoever they acted as if we were a burden to them. I regret spending money at this hotel, and I definitely will never do it again

Let me start with the positive. The hotel was cheap and affordable.
The bedding was clean but not the pillows. Under the pillow cases the pillows were nasty and yellow.
The bad. The rooms were probably the worst I have stayed in, let alone seen. There was mold everywhere. Looks like there was a flood all the furniture was wrecked up about a foot high. The sink was leaking onto the carpet. The bathroom lino was chopped up I mean, there were holes in it right to the cement. All furniture was broken and the water swelled.
The bathtub was seriously wrecked. The bottom was painted but when you took a shower it
flopped up reveling rusty bottom. The whole bathroom was painted to try to hide the serious issues. The black mold was bad. There was no mini fridge no microwave I didn't even bother to try the sketchy TV so I can't coment on that.
Overall it was pretty terrible stay. It was cheap though.

Our stay here was only to avoid the alternative, which was spending the night on the cold airport floor during an overnight layover. I booked because it was close to the airport, for our 6AM flight. The price was on point for a less than 10 hour stay. I also booked for the free airport shuttles, but found out later the shuttle runs only during limited hours, so we still had to use ride shares. The room was okay, basic, but it served its purpose. Only bad thing was the door wouldn't close after we entered our room. Something had failed with the hinge. So we lost about an hour of rest waiting on maintenance. They didn't offer a different room, as we'd hoped they would when we reported the issue.

I knew that since the price was low this would not be a luxury hotel, however I did not expect the long wait time to check in, the distance from parking to my room, the lack of an elevator, and most significantly the condition of the room. This room should have been renovated years ago, paint was cracked and peeling, the towel rack fell off the wall, the carpet was worn, really, it looked horrible.

Room was clean, service was friendly.

This is the worst hotel that I have ever stayed in. The room smelled like some one or some thing had recently die in there. I turned the AC on and open the door to try to air it out for about 15 minutes. Then I went to get something to eat hoping it will smell better when I got back. The smell as just as bad. I then asked the front desk clerk to change a room and he is not helpful at all and stated I should have come sooner to request since it has been an hour. I explained to him what I have done hoping to make it better, He still refused and stated will send housekeeping to spray the room. While waiting for the housekeeping to come, I asked another hotel guess near by to smell the room and he agreed that it was terrible and no one should stay there. Then I asked if he will accompany me to the front desk to back me up on the smell and he agreed. Front desk still refused to change the room and asked whether the housekeeping staff has being there. They have not arrived yet and he cruelly ask me to go back to wait. When I got back to the room, the housekeeper was already there and agreed that the room stinks badly. He also noticed the shower floor had not even been cleaned. It was black and probably source the smell. He said he will call the front desk to get me a new room. The front desk desk clerk finally very grudgingly gave me a new room. I will never stay here again or any other Travelodge if this is how they treat their guests.

This was a short night due to flight schedule. Worked out fine but if you need to call the hotel no one answers.

At check in the attendant was coughing like he had the flu. I was given a 2 Queen bed room when I specifically booked a King. The room smelled stale and musty. The lock on the door was broken so the chain lock was the only protection I had. The shower was mediocre at best with the water pressure of a weak garden hose. I’m still waiting for the $100 refund for the “hold” on my credit card when the hotel I stayed at 2 nights ago already refunded me. And they charge a $5 parking fee. Shady.

Room was a normal size room. Only feature was a decent TV and small coffee maker. No small frig or microwave. Bed was comfortable and towels were good. AC/Heat worked well. Main negative in the room was the shower. In need of serious renovation. Also housekeeping was little help when asked for extra washcloths. Also attempted to enter room before checkout without knocking first. Had safety bar engaged or they would have walked right in...unacceptable.

Someone knocked on my door around 11pm. I didnt answer it, yelled through the door wrong room. Less then 10 minutes later the phone in my room rang when I answered no one said anything. I made a couple rude comments and hung up....Thats not the hotels fault HOWEVER when i called the front desk because I was a little bit scared because it happened right after my boyfriend left, no one answered my call. I tried calling for an hour.
I was in one of suites. It had a nice tv thats it.
Having a microwave and fridge is an upgrade/upcharge.
Very old place in need of repair

Would calm the front desk for more towels and be told that someone would bring some by. Other times the phone to the front desk would ring continuously. We never receive housekeeping not once in our three day stay with trash piling and housekeeping being right by. I thought it would be smart to save money next time better to spend more for better service. Plus it’s kinda sketchy,

It took the front desk about 20 minutes to fund my reservation. Initially they said i didn't had one, but after me showing on the app that i did, they still couldn't find it.
The room had a check in time at 3pm and when we got the room there where no towles. It took until 5pm before we got them.

Strange layout and half the rooms face freeway. Rooms are very dated and look NOTHING like the pictures. No plug-ins available except in restroom to charge phone?! Cleaning does best they can do for old and cheap rooms. Bed was in desperate need of being replaced, but obvious they put no $ back into the place as even the tiles in shower were simply painted over to keep from replacing them. Pay the extra $ and stay elsewhere.

Didn't look the same as the pictures online. We had ants in our room which the maintenance man did get rid of quickly for us but not a nice hotel to stay in

The price is very reasonable. The room is a pretty good size . Definitely, you don’t feel cramped in . The bathroom needs remodeling. The room smells like old cigarettes. The windows need cleaning , the doors need new locks . Basically a good remodel ! But it’s not a bad bet if you’re low in cash .

Carpet in room not too clean, bath tube rusting
Shuttle runs every 45 minutes could run sooner

This location is adequate if you want a clean bed. It is a little less than adequate if you also are looking all of the lights working, the shower working, and service with a smile.

I think there were bullet holes in the ceiling. The room was not clean. There was a washcloth in the shower and a towel on the bed. No service at the desk when we called. Awful experience.

When checking into the establishment no where does it say on the website or will booking that you cannot have a card from an out-of-state bank or an online bank. I was almost refused to check in because they would not accept a card from an online bank. I offered to provide a card from an out-of-state credit union, and they also refused to accept it because the man from behind the counter never heard of the Credit Union. For people that are traveling frequently it’s absolutely absurd that they will not accept any credit or debit card that isn’t issued from a major financial institution or a local financial institution in order California for people that are traveling from out of state the bank with a local bank or credit union to where you’re from just beware That you may have issues checking in if you do not have a major credit card from a large financial institution such as Chase, Bank of America or American Express they also do not allow any kind of an online bank, including Capital One, Ally as well as branch services from Uber or Venmo, debit cards and PayPal debit cards. They also will not accept PayPal credit card.
The parking situation is atrocious. There’s almost no parking towards the end of the day and you may have to walk upwards of a quarter of a mile to get from where you park your vehicle to get to your room as someone who is disabled they were not willing to accommodate moving my room to where there was parking available on the first night of arrival.

It was brief. I had good rest

The property was quite rundown. The room had rips in the carpet, cuts in the linoleum, peeling paint on walls and in the bathtub. My first night there was an altercation outside my door and someone was forcibly arrested, and on my second night there was a domestic abuse situation in the adjoining room.

we requested a handicap room. They did not have one for us. The room smelled horrible. Nothing worked right. The TV turner didn’t work it turn the TV on, but it wouldn’t turn the channels. The phone didn’t work. There’s lights didn’t work. Wanted to put my mom upstairs because we didn’t have more handicap rooms and I told him she can’t even go upstairs because, she’s in a walker and you don’t have an elevator. Ended up putting us in a suite they wanted to charge us more and I said hell no because you didn’t have anything ready that should’ve been ready.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!
A group of 4 of us were in town to work an event, this seemed like a reasonable option as it was a good distance to the airport and tour event.
The room was disgusting, it smelt like the room was ‘wet’ when we walked in. Like there was too much moisture in the room. We had 4 in our party but the beds only had 3 pillows each that were couch pillows. 12x12 square. And there were only 2 towels. The hotel knew there was to be 4 guests. We tried to call the front desk but the phone didn’t work. No dial tone, nothing. One person in the party opted to run over to the front desk and get more pillows and towels, since we couldn’t call.
The bathroom smelt of mold, see the photos below but the framing was literally falling apart. The safe box was in the ground on a cinder block. The entire place was dirty. None of us would walk around without socks on. An at the foot of the 2nd bed there was a semi wet spot. The 1st bed had a visual and physical dent from someone sitting on the side. The TV got one channel. An there were no usable plugs to charge phones. You had to unplug one of the 3 lamp options to light the room, as there was no main light.
For $350 for 3 nights. I didn’t expect the ritz but I did expect to not wake up with bed bug bites over my entire left side. I have 5 bites in my ankle, 2 on my arm, 5 on my thumb knuckle and 3 on my neck. All appeared after one night.
No help from the front desk as apparently the 2 bed bedrooms were all booked out.

This place has black mold on the ceiling in various spots, the air conditioner did not work all night. I asked for additional pillows and never received any. There is a collection of dried dirt on all air vents including the AC. The floor felt a bit damp maybe due to the mildew smell of no air circulation.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone only if you have a very tight flight and want to save on Uber for free shuttle service which was great.

An older building in urgent need of repair and upgrades.

Property did not match the photos at all! The lobby was small and not very welcoming. The staff were ok, not overly friendly or welcoming. The property seemed rundown, outdated and in desperate need of renovation. The room smelled musty the bathroom was tiny and peeling paint seemed to reveal what looked like mold had been painted over. The bathtub/shower glaze was dirty and peeling. We took the loss, checked out 10 minutes after checking in and went somewhere else.
